Quality of care is my top priority! Experienced, kind, friendly, compassionate and caring staff. Gets 5 stars and a thumbs up from me. Trust is key and I trust this care home 100% to look after my father with dementia. Top class staff and diamond standard managers. My father is both happy and settled. A huge thank you to everyone involved.
My mother was admitted to this care home through social services, she never settled in the six months she was admitted of her residence, I'm sure it was down to staffing problems. She was in this care home for six months and during this time she (had 3 falls and had to be taken to hospital) care orders were put in place by ambulance staff etc during this period, my "mother was diagnosed with Dementia" prior to her admittance to the care home. We did note that all the staff were agency staff and had no permanent staff leadership at this time and also feel that dementia patients should not be accepted at this care home as it is not suitable for them.
Since my mother has been transferred to a suitable care home she has now settled with her environment and is at ease and no longer has "falls" and along with wonderful staff who seem to appreciate her circumstances who care for their patients please appreciate this it's written with experience and hope no one else has to go through this.
My mum has lived in this home now for three years and loves it. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the manager ensures I am fully informed of everything that happens with mum. Thankfully this home is a little jewel in Roberttown Care Home my mum thinks all the staff are her children!
My Dad was placed in the home in an emergency, but it really was a Godsend. He enjoyed it so much he requested to stay permanently. All staff are first class. Born to be in that job. Poor Dad has dementia but he has thrived in Roberttown. Excellent all round.
Thank you for taking the time to review.
I have lived at Roberttown for 2 years. I wish I had moved in earlier, they even let me bring my budgie Gorgie. The staff are marvellous and treat me like family now I don't have my own. I feel very lucky I chose to live here. The manager spends time to call every day and they take me to sit out too, the puddings are too nice to say not to!
These carers are the best. Very good meals. I stayed whilst my kitchen was fitted. Second time here. I slept so well. Very good activities/fun and games. Manager lady is lovely and kind, spoke to me every day, always lots to eat and drink. Looking forward to coming back when I do my lounge.
I am extremely satisfied with the care that my mother receives. I find the staff very helpful and friendly.
Roberttown Care Home has beautiful grounds, grass lawns with paths suitable for wheelchairs. A fish pond with a fountain, five hens and cockerel. The hens have a little house made of new wood with a slide inside for them to walk up and down. There are seating areas with comfortable chairs some in shady places. There are trees, bushes with flowers and foliage. Flower beds of daffodils and other colourful flowers. It is sad that I have rarely seen the residents in this beautiful place.
Thank you for providing a review, I agree it is such a shame your loved one doesn't like sitting out in the garden but please feel free, you are welcome to sit in it any time you wish.
Respite needed after a fall - beautiful home, excellent staff - pure Angels! They knew all about me and what I needed prior to me even arriving! Nothing was too much trouble. The Manageress is an Angel and made me feel so wanted and my needs were very important to her. I'm not quite ready for a home yet but I hope I can come here when I do. 1st class treatment all round.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review.
The staff at Roberttown are absolutely fantastic from the carers, laundry, reception, kitchen, cleaners, maintenance - management. Always polite, friendly, helpful, supportive and compassionate - under difficult circumstances. Definitely, deserve a medal and pay rise, cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for your kind review, we all appreciate your continued support.
As long as I need care, I will want to stay in this beautiful home.
The staff like one big family. I am so well here. Changes my views on care home altogether.
Definitely recommend.
I am happy with the care my husband receives at the care home. It gives me the respite I need. My husband is well fed and watered and does not seem to mind going to daycare every day.
My Husband had a lovely time at the home over Christmas - so nice, and used the home again at Easter time. Beautiful home - wonderful caring staff who are very experienced in their jobs. Brilliant Management who made me feel so comfortable with a very hard decision. I now recommend this care home to everyone I meet.
What a wonderful time I had! 5-star treatment from everyone! Those girls are living angels! When I am in need of a care home this is the only place I will go!
I stayed for 6 weeks when I couldn't walk it was like a holiday in a lovely friendly hotel. The girls couldn't do enough for me and my family. The food was amazing. The manageress was the nicest lady I have met ever met and came to see me every day.
The home is generally clean and tidy (we all have off days - even in our own homes).
the food is generally good and a choice is given.
A regular activities chart would be of benefit to residents but they do have some regular activities.
Mum has been at Roberttown since September and has settled in well, she even says she likes it and considers some staff as friends.
All in all we are happy.
1st class care by a company of lovely girls. Wonderful food. Clean at all levels. Nearly equals home care.
The home were fantastic in taking my Mother in Law and were exceptionally kind to us. They dealt with her kindly and caringly.
Mum spent her last 5 months in the home. She was looked after and supported by all the staff. She was only ill a few days before passing. The staff taught her to trust and be calm; she had been a very unhappy dementia sufferer. This enabled the family to have lovely visits and time with her. I could not recommend to others because families have such varied expectations for their relatives. However we want and have said a big, big thank you to all the home that helped make a very feisty lady happy in her last few months.
I stayed at this home for a few weeks after a fall. I was treated like a king. The food was wonderful and the managers are excellent. I wish to live in this home when I need more help. All the helpers are angels.
