My experience of Corinthian House is extremely positive. From all staff members to management, nothing is ever too much trouble. They treat you like extended family and my mother is being very well looked after. She is being treated with the utmost dignity. I will never be able to thank them enough
for what they have done.

Just a quick review to show appreciation to all the staff looking after my dad. The care for him is excellent but I wanted to offer thanks more for my mother. Mum has struggled whilst Dad was in hospital, being out of the house for 10 hours each day for over 3 months. I live 100 miles away in Wales
and was worrying over her more than Dad. The change in her is now remarkable. She is even fed every day1 Many thanks to all at Corinthian House.

The staff are lovely, caring, fun and hardworking. They know the residents and also they recognise the friends and relatives who visit them. This may sound obvious but previous experience with homes my father stayed in, this, unfortunately, was not the case. (Agency staff mainly). The food is good and
the dining room is a credit to the staff - who take the time and trouble to set each table beautifully! My stepdads room is clean, tidy and bright. The home smells good. (Not over scented etc). It is clean, bright, fresh and well decorated and maintained.

Corinthian House Nursing & Dementia Unit where my sister resided there from 2013-2017 had nothing but kindness, compassion and loving care. The staff were fantastic and nothing seemed to be any trouble. During her last days, endless cups of coffee, tea, sandwiches and help for all the family. I wish
all the staff could be given gold medals. Well done and thank you to every employee there.

I visit my wife in the home, who has been there for nearly 18 months. I have got to know a lot of the staff by name over the time that I have been visiting, also the residents.
It's nice to feel at ease when I visit the home.

We as a family are very satisfied and happy at how the care home looks after our mother. She has been there seven months, and appears to be well settled she likes all the carers, cleaners etc who take the time to go into her room and have a chat. Recently it was her Birthday and the chef made her a
smashing cake which other residents shared. Up to now we have no complaints only thanks to everyone.

Mum was really ill and the nurse and deputy took good care of her, staff stayed with her while the ambulance arrived. Mum's back now, I notice staff are monitoring her closely and letting me know how she is. The staff are very reassuring.

My dad has been with Corinthian house for over fourteen months now his general health has improved and he is happy, it was his choice to go to a care home as he knew he could not care for himself I took my dad to visit a few others and this was the one that could cater for his needs.
It is a happy
place and especially the entertainment team are always looking for ways to involve the guests in various activities.
The nurses appear to be aware of my dads condition and act very quickly to his infections which have saved him being hospitalised on many occasions they keep me well informed of any change in his condition.
The only thing I would suggest that a designated team member can be available to answer any questions either me or my dad have instead of us talking to a few different people.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.060)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.060) out of 10 for Corinthian House Nursing & Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.689 for Corinthian House Nursing & Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (66 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 90 Ratings = 4.689
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.371 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Corinthian House Nursing & Care Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 14 = 0.571
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
