Willow Bank Nursing Home is a large 1950’s purpose-built care home situated in the popular Leeds suburb of Cross Gates, just off junction 46 of the M1 providing residential, nursing and respite care for 33 residents. The communal areas in the home have been refurbished in May 2021 and all bedrooms come with furniture provided but they do welcome any furniture you want to bring to the home to make your stay at Willow Bank more comfortable.

The home is located over two floors and the ground floor accommodates 12 en-suite bedrooms, a spacious lounge, dining room and quiet lounge with access to the gardens and patio. The first floor holds the remaining 21 bedrooms and hairdressing room and is accessible by lift or stairs.

The home is close to local amenities including shops, library, doctors surgery, pharmacy, public house and hairdressers which are within walking distance. The home has 14 car parking spaces for visitors driving to the home and the number 40 bus stop is close to the home for visitors arriving by public transport.

Willow Bank offers an excellent dining experience for those living at the home and has a 5-star food hygiene rating. They believe that food is an important aspect of any home and they offer a choice of breakfast, lunch, evening meal and snacks throughout the day.

There are various activities planned each day at Willow Bank including a regular cheese and wine evening which is always popular with the residents, 1-1 time, entertainers as well as home-based activities. Wi-Fi is available throughout the home for residents who want to enjoy spending time hosting zoom calls with family and friends.

She is very well looked after and I am happy with the care they give my mam.
They looked after mam when she got the covid 19 and now she's on the mend.

On two recent visits when my mother has needed urgent attention, I have had to roam the corridors looking for staff members as pressing the buzzer has no effect. On finding staff, I have been met with surely, pouting stares and on one occasion a smirk! I am also very concerned about my mother's dramatic
weight loss. I must point out too, although Willow Bank style themselves as a care home with nursing, I've seen no evidence of any nursing element.

I was thankful to be introduced to Willow Bank through Leeds Care Services when end of life care was required for my husband in November 2018. My family and I have been so grateful for the care, kindness and consideration shown to my husband and us during this very emotional time. It has been so reassuring

Willow Bank Care Home was my number one choice when it became clear that my dad needed 24 hour care after being in hospital for a few weeks. Willow Bank is nothing like a hospital (thank goodness). The care and attention they gave to my dad I will be forever grateful for. Not only were they very kind
and thoughtful towards my dad but also his family, especially me. I was so thankful that my dad actually got a room there when he needed it (which was lovely by the way). I can’t thank all the staff enough for everything they did for him, what an amazing place.

Drom the minute we went to see the home right until mum passed away, my experience with Willow Bank was delightful. My mum went there for end of life care and when she passed away it was peacefully. She was in no pain and had been treated with respect and the utmost care throughout her stay.

Willowbank is fantastic in every way. My grandmother spent her final two months being cared for in this warm, clean, caring and professional environment. The staff were kind and considerate, her room was clean and cosy and the overall atmosphere of Willowbank was one of empathy and warmth. My grandmother
