The home is friendly, the staff always manage a smile. Last year proved to be very difficult for everyone, they all rose to the challenge, kept Mum and Dad safe and well cared for. My only criticism is that information was slow to filter out to families and it was difficult to contact me as the phone
system could take the call elsewhere.
I would like to say a big thank you to the team.

From having a look round, meeting staff and viewing rooms we knew this was the place for us, Cutsyke, not being far from Pontefract. The management and staff are all lovely. They can not do enough for you, always greeted with a smile and hello. My mother-in-law is happy there and we can rest assured
she is being looked after very well which means a lot.

I am very pleased with my experience from my mum going into manor Park Care Home, Cutsyke. The manager is a wonderful, caring person who has helped me come to terms with putting Mum in a home. All the staff are very helpful. I haven't got a wrong word to say about every aspect of the care home.

The love, support and care every single member of staff showed my mum and family in mum's final weeks was amazing. The staff went above and beyond. I am so glad we chose Manor Park for my mum to stay at, they made my mum's final weeks a pleasure and even made one of mum's wishes come true by taking
her to a local nature attraction. I cannot say a bad word about Manor Park, the team is amazing with the best manager ever.

All the staff are amazing, especially the Manager. Whilst Mum was in their care they all went above and beyond (i.e., if Mum wanted something and they didn't have it in, they went and got it for her). They even made one of Mum's wishes come true by taking her out to a butterfly park in Leeds for the
day which she loved. I would highly recommend anybody that needs support and care to go to Manor Park Care Home. They won't be disappointed. Such an amazing and friendly environment. Thank you so much.

My mum went into the dementia unit on the 11/6/19 after a traumatic 3 weeks in hospital. The dementia manager and staff, from the moment she arrived to when she passed away 10 days later were absolutely fantastic. Their care, concerns, nursing, attitude and empathy were second to none. My mum was so
well looked after we wished she had gone their prior to when she did. I would not hesitate for a minute to recommend you trust and leave your loved ones in their care. Manor Court were also very accommodating with all our family too.

If anyone is worried about putting their loved ones into Manor Park, do not worry! The manager and her team in the Dementia unit are absolutely amazing in every way. My mother-n-law spent her last days in their care for her end of life and myself and family cannot thank them enough. They could not do
enough for ANY of us and not just my mum-in-law. Just wished we had known about this care home sooner than we did!!!!
100% recommend without any doubt whatsoever.

The carers at Manor Park Care Home did the very best for my aunty, they made her laugh, smile and at best made her comfy, couldn't have asked for much more under the circumstances and for that, we are very grateful. Would recommend to others but as shown below could make improvements but overall did
a great job of looking after my aunty. Thank you.

I feel the care given to my grandmother was respectful and dignified. The compassion shown to her and us were second to none, even though my grandmother could be stubborn at times and the carers hadn't seen the lovely person my nanna was before her dementia took over. They gave her the care as if they
had known her.

I would like to express my thanks to all the staff at Manor Park. My mother passed away recently. My mother was in the home for over three years with dementia. She was very challenging towards the end. The staff always treated my mother with respect, compassion and empathy. We believe they went above
their duties and want to recognise them for the good work that they do. Thank you.

Overall, I am quite content with the care my wife receives.
Her ability to indulge in activities is nil and her ability to comment on food is nil. However, I feel it is quite satisfactory/good and overall, I have no criticism.

My mother in law was a resident in Manor Park for over 6 years and was cared for with empathy and compassion, especially during the last week of her life. She was in the latter stages of Alzheimer's and was unable to recognise her family but we appreciated she was content and comfortable within her
surroundings and with the carers who looked after her. She was able to pass away with dignity and in peace with carers by her side which has been a great comfort to us.

I think the staff and Manor Park, on the whole, are a very competent and caring place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other people. They looked after my father as though he was their own and made his last few weeks as comfortable as humanly possible. They were just fantastic.

My dad came in, in September for respite he had Parkinson's and was bedbound for most of the time. Staff were very caring and thoughtful. My mum was always made welcome when she went on her own. Everyone made you feel welcome. Made dad feel he belonged there even at the end when he could not understand
they still spoke to him.
I would like to say a big praise to the manager and all her staff.
Dads care was excellent throughout his stay. When dad died the staff could not have been more supportive.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.104)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.104) out of 10 for Manor Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 3.937 for Manor Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (25 Excellents x 5) + (52 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 3.937
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.167 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Manor Park Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 75 registered maximum number of service users is 15. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 15 = 0.467
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
