The manager and the team are great and they do an amazing job especially in this horrid covid time.
This change is completely down to the caring and attentive team at North Ferriby, the high standard of care, good food and pleasant surroundings of the home. It has also been achieved against the difficult backdrop of all the covid restrictions.
Also appreciated was the flexibility and organisation of the manager and the team in arranging the care at short notice, at the busy Christmas period.
His daily food menu sounds amazing, since he has been there he has gained weight and looks so much better.
I know it's not an ideal situation because of Covid but the home following the government guidelines are trying their best for us to have visits.
I would highly recommend this home.
Despite listing on this site that there are 'gardens for residents' in their facilities, we have since been informed that the gardens are 'owned by the owners' and that any residents and relatives cannot access them, despite all health benefits and spiritual well being. Be warned!
As a home that cares passionately about the health and well-being of our residents and is COVID free, we are sorry that you are not satisfied with the visiting arrangement we have in place - however, we are following the advice from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and I quote: "It is always...
During COVID their infection control and protection of patients has been exemplary and visits have been well managed within guidelines to keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your lovely comments and support at this very difficult time, our main aim is to ensure the health and well-being of our residents whilst protection and minimizing the risks for our staff and other visitors. It is good to know it is appreciated.
Plenty of activities to stop you getting bored.
It has been very challenging during COVID lockdown. The staff have been very helpful giving my dad any packages we have left at the door or pushing through the window so we can wave and talk to him when appropriate. Dad has Parkinson's so isn't always lucid or helpful to the very patient and helpful staff looking after him.
North Ferriby Nursing Home provides loving care to elderly residents. The staff are extremely good at providing ongoing care and assistance to residents. The owners are very friendly and provide, via the staff, excellent food as well as entertainment to residents. The medicines are administered in a professional manner.
Since my husband has been in the home, he certainly seems to be happier in himself, made a friend and overall much better.
Every conceivable facility appears to be available including entertainment and excellent food.
We needed to find care for my mother who was terminally ill. We managed to get her into North Ferriby nursing home which was close to her home. The whole process was very professionally handled by the general manager and within four days of initial contact, we moved Mum in. The care given was exceptional - all the staff are very friendly and efficient. Although Mum was only there two weeks until she passed away, she could not have had better care. I have not rated the activities as Mum was bed-bound so didn't take part in the activities.
We are grateful to all of the staff for their care and friendly professionalism whatever their role.
Clean, safe, pro-active, professional care.
Well maintained facilities and a bright and airy place.
Good food with plenty of variety.
Evening has been first class, a warm and welcoming home, care excellent as is everything.
Her room was warm and welcoming. The staff were totally attentive, not just to her, but to all our family on our time spent with her. The staff could not do enough for us. Even providing us with meals and a never-ending supply of hot drinks.
If I could just say an extra special thank you to the manager and staff, we will be forever grateful.
My Mum used North Ferriby Nursing Home for respite care and was a regular day care user. The staff were lovely and Mum was always happy to stay or visit for a day. We are happy to recommend it to others.
Over 8+ years I have grown to know the management and many of the staff very well. I have found them to be very friendly, helpful, kind, caring, respectful and consider them well able to meet my friend's comprehensive nursing and care needs. (She is now bedridden.)
I am privy to my friend's care plan and it has given me complete peace of mind to know that in N.F.N.H. my friend is safe and her future care is assured.
My 86 year old father became a resident at North Ferriby Nursing Home for respite and convalescence after a spell in hospital that saw his weight plummet, his mobility compromised and his overall health poor. Dad has advanced Parkinsons and his care can be a challenge as can his behaviour at times. The care dad received here was fantastic, the staff are the most caring I have come across and the nursing staff exemplary. Dad stayed here for 9 weeks and left to go home (with care) walking, nourished and happy. The family wanted dad to stay as he made friends, enjoyed activities and was very well cared for. But being proud and still craving independence he wanted to go home. We wouldn’t hesitate to for dad to go back to North Ferriby Nursing should he need to.
The rooms vary in size and are comfortable and clean, some extremely spacious along with ensuite. He enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and also spending time outside in the pretty courtyard. The staff were brilliant and made him feel at home chatting and laughing with him. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were all happy to help him when he asked. When he arrived at Ferriby Nursing Home his medication was in a bit of a mix-up. This was sorted out immediately, thank you so much.
He was treated with dignity care and respect by everyone. Thank you.
North Ferriby Nursing Home offers an excellent service for my 98-year-old mother. Very comfortable living facilities with good communal areas. The staff are very warm, caring and respectful. It has made it very easy for me to leave mother in care at North Ferriby Nursing Home as I know she is being well looked after.
Staff and management showed care, compassion and dignity at all times. Home very clean. Mum kept spotless, never any smells of urine or other in the home. Bedding always clean. Also, care and compassion shown towards members of the family. I would recommend North Ferriby Nursing Home.
