My wife came to Barchester Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home for a fortnightly period of respite, principally to enable me, her principal carer to have my first break in four years of caring for her. She has vascular dementia and no cognition and has required 24-hour wrap-around care, achieved by a mixture of live-in care and domiciliary care (on an hourly visit basis). It was a huge relief to find my wife settled in very easily, thanks to the love and attention of the staff. The main crunch was that I was privileged to eat with her, it was first class, and great care had been taken to get her difficult diet absolutely right for her. Her eating improved enormously while she was in Beaumont Care Home, so I think they did a wonderful job to make her feel at home. Well done, team.

Your care staff are outstanding, they looked after my dad for the last three plus years. They cared for him like he was their Grandad. The manager is outstanding. One lady was so thoughtful and caring to my family. My dad had the best care I could ever wish for. Thank you.

Massive thank you for looking after my husband who passed away peacefully on 19th June 2022. The staff at Beaumont have been so loving to my husband. I would like to say two members of staff, in particular, went the extra mile in the lodge. My husband was so cared for and we were so happy. Thank you.
Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are pleased to hear your husband had such a great experience at Stamford Bridge Beaumont. Our condolences to you and your family during this time.

Since my husband was admitted to the nursing home we have all been treated with respect and kindness (with the exception of one male member of the nursing staff). I was very unhappy to have my husband taken out of my personal care but have been more than content with the care he is receiving in this home. I could not carry on caring for him at home. I'm glad we found this nursing home.

My aunty was a resident for the last 18 months. It was a decision not taken lightly by the family, however, this was the best decision. From the moment she went in she was happy. She does have quite a lot of family both in Yorkshire and down south, frequent visits from us down south were not possible (covid etc) however, I must say this did not deter the home from keeping everyone informed of how she was settling in and how she was doing. She deteriorated towards the end of last year and the home ensured the family were kept up to date with all relevant information. Unfortunately, she passed away late on 7/1/22. The home ensured we were kept up to date, we tried to make it but didn’t. We continued so we could see her in her own bed, the home was more than amenable and when we arrived at 0200, she had been laid out beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble and small requests we made regarding jewellery etc were upheld immediately. This is a perfect home for both the resident and family.
Thank you for your feedback, Steve. I will share it with all the staff who looked after your aunty. Please extend our condolences to all your family for the loss of your loved one.
She asked for a move but they could not offer any other room.
After six weeks she asked to leave to go to another residential home where she was offered an en-suite and much larger room with a lovely garden view.
The Beaumont made various excuses why she could not leave. I had to ask the social worker for help and in their opinion, there was absolutely no reason why she could not straight away this took fourteen weeks to achieve.
The Beaumont kept her there against her wishes for financial gain at £1090 per week. She also did not need nursing care. She requested a discount for the en-suite room she did not get but they refused. Her showering arrangements meant being escorted to a shared shower on the floor above. Do not go.
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear your experience with Stamford Bridge did not meet your expectations and are surprised at the sentiment of your review. Your friend had spoken to me directly and explained she had no problem with our home but that she was moving to expand...
My husband stayed for three weeks of respite care. He was so well looked after by the staff and settled quickly. He enjoyed having people around him and became more sociable with more interaction. He thoroughly enjoyed the food and even put some weight on. His room was well appointed and everywhere was clean and well kept. But the staff were the real stars. They put him at ease and ensured he was as contented as possible. I am booking him in for another stay in the spring.
Thank you for your feedback, your words are very much appreciated, we are very proud of our home and the staff. I am so pleased you and your husband have had such a positive experience and look forward to seeing you both again.
There is not much difference between the words care and caring. Good care is essential but when good care is given by caring people then you have the perfect combination.
Thank you so much for your kind words and lovely feedback. I will make sure to share it with the staff who are humble about the good work they do.
My sister-in-law has been in the Beaumont now for 18 months. She has had wonderful care. I have observed many homes over the years and the Beaumont is one of only two I would recommend to anyone in the area. The staff are welcoming and friendly trying their best to make residents feel at home. There are lots of trips, musical entertainments and visits from animals too. The food is amazing and in the lounge there are facilities for drinks and snacks. My sister-in-law has dietary needs and now she is adhering to a proper diet which has improved her health. All residents are different, some are shy and retiring but whatever their demeanour they are treated well and encouraged to interact should they feel they want to. The staff and management are always there to answer any questions I might have, I am happy to leave my sister-in-law in their capable hands.

After an easing of lockdown, I was able to visit my sister-in-law inside the Beaumont. The rules for the safety of residents, staff and visitors were in place and effective. I have been visiting Beaumont regularly for a number of years, I find the management staff and residents friendly and happy. After lockdown, I found the residents were outgoing and happy there are always activities on the go, birthday parties, celebrations and trips out. The menus are displayed in the entrance and the food always looks and tastes appetising. The whole building is clean tidy and beautifully decorated, the dining room looks like a hotel. The staff are caring and go out of their way to make residents and visitors feel welcome and most importantly ‘wanted’. Nothing is too much trouble.

My dad lives at the care home and is extremely settled there. The staff who care for him go out of their way to make sure his needs are met. At times they go above and beyond their job roles to make sure dad is cared for in the same way we would if we were able to do so. There have been times when dad has struggled to maintain his ability to understand what is being asked of him. The staff are patient and understanding and give him the time he needs. The unit he resides on is well led and if I have a concern I feel I can approach the unit manager and the problem will be addressed and dealt with as soon as possible.
Thank you for your kind words about your dad's care, and how the staff are approachable and support him with good standards. We are very proud of all our carers and I will ensure that they receive the feedback you have left.
My father seems happy in the care of this home. Like everything, some days are excellent, and some days are lacking. I think this is down to the number of staff rather than the quality of care the staff want to provide. They are doing their best. Activities seem to favour certain people and we always see one lady all over the Facebook feed time and time again.
Thank you for your review, and thank you for your kind words in relation to our care staff. It will mean a lot to the team and we will make sure it is sent on to them. I understand it may feel frustrating to not see all of our residents here at Stamford Bridge represented online, however, due to...
Staff are kind and respectful very caring. The home is very clean and homely. Choice of food is good (they make sure they know what the person likes and dislikes). They are very welcoming.
Thank you for your review. We are proud of our kind and respectful staff. It feels homely to us too.
I would like to say that the care I am receiving is very good. I have been happy here, the staff are very efficient and I regard them as my extended family. We have craft lessons for which I enjoy for which I do knitting so I am grateful that I can. I have improved and I am very happy here. It is a lovely care home and very good meals indeed. Top marks for all the staff at Barchester Stamford Bridge.
Thank you so much for your kind and wonderful review. We very much appreciate this and value your thoughts and opinions. I will pass on your kind words.
Since my wife was diagnosed with dementia and had to go into full-time care she has become very contented with life. The staff in the home are all extremely qualified and treat my wife more as a friend than a resident.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough at Stamford Bridge Beaumont. They showed kindness, compassion, and understanding towards Mum, treating her with dignity and respect. They were particularly understanding during her last days, in the difficult situation of lockdown. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home. Thank you, everyone.
Best wishes, Victoria.
Mum has lived at the home for 8 years and as I live nearby I visit most days. However, during the last 3 months, the home has been in lockdown. It has been extremely difficult for all the family as mum is 98, with very limited mobility and health issues, and skype and other communication provided is not for her. However, today I am on my 3rd weekly visit today to see her. I have to arrange the meeting in advance with the staff as they have to take place outside, in line with government guidance. But oh how wonderful to see and chat to her again. Whilst it is not the same as normal visiting, for everyone involved in making this possible it is much appreciated. The staff are on hand, chairs etc are sanitised after each visit and it's wonderful to see she looks extremely well. I don't think she has missed me too much either, so well done to all the staff at the home for taking good care of her and keeping me up to date whilst they have been through an extremely difficult time themselves.
Kind regards,
Victoria.

Meet the Team (13)

Hi, my name is Emma and I am the General Manager here at Stamford Bridge. Welcome to our website! I have been working for Barchester since 2015. I qualified as a general nurse in 2004, and have worked as a nurse within the local community and hospitals in the area, and I am passionate about delivering the highest quality of care to those we support. There's never a dull day!
I consider myself to be extremely privileged to work with such wonderful people, full of humour with wonderful stories to tell. I know it’s a cliché, but we are like one big happy family—I love being here! I am lucky to be supported by a fantastic team that demonstrates a nurturing warm and compassionate approach. The home's core objective is to promote quality ethos-centred person-centred care, enabling and giving peace of mind to everyone we come into contact with.

Rachael qualified as a nurse in 2006. For the first four and a half years she worked in respiratory for those with high dependency. Rachael then worked in oncology for four years. Before joining Barchester in 2018 Rachael spent four years with a private care provider as a nurse consultant.
Rachael leads her team to deliver the highest standards of nursing care to our residents, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

Bryan initially came to the Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home in 2022 for 4 weeks' respite after having contracted a virus and spending 6 weeks in hospital.
As his respite came to an end, Bryan's family pointed out to him how well he looked and how much he was enjoying himself after spending time in the home recovering, and he decided to make Stamford Bridge Beaumont his home.
Originally, Bryan first came to the village in 1988, before in 1995 becoming the lay minister for the home.
Bryan speaks with great affection about how much his faith means to him; he is also a keen cricket fan, having played for the Surrey Colts when he was younger, and he is a lifelong fan of Arsenal Football Club.

Hi, I am Jennie, I am the Administrator at Stamford Bridge Beaumont and I am responsible for all the financial activities in the home along with the general administration. I joined the home in October 2023.
I have worked within the care system since 1992, I love the digital part of my role and have always enjoyed working with spreadsheets and have a degree in IT. Outside of work, I love to run, knit and visit my family who live in Birmingham.

Louise always goes the extra mile in pre-empting situations; she keeps regular contact with families and ensures they are always high on her list of priorities.
Louise's attention to detail with residents, staff and relatives, means that she delivers an excellent level of service at all times.

When the hospital closed I transferred to Townend Court and continued as a care assistant on the forensic ward for people with a learning disability. It was whilst working with the Occupational therapists at Townend that I discovered my passion for engaging the patients in activities of their choosing, I’m quite artistic and creative so it was an easy transition
I have many years of experience working with the older generation and those who live with dementia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and other diagnoses.
I am really looking forward to bringing both my experience and passion to my new role and to seeing the positive impact on our resident population.
