A lovely atmosphere throughout the home. Very clean and staff friendly and cheerful. My wife is on the Promenade Unit and is very well cared for both during the day and at night. (I have made several visits at night). At all times the staff are not only very helpful but nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

I am very happy that my wife is here and she might live longer than me. I feel secure in the knowledge that she is in an excellent home.

All nursing and care staff are extremely dedicated, caring and helpful ensuring resident clothes and bed linen are kept clean and fresh at all times, particularly immediately after ‘mishaps’. The rooms are kept very warm and there is plenty of excellent activity around to keep everyone occupied. The food is also excellent, plentiful and varied with every effort taken to match everyone’s personal tastes. Treatment and stimulus regimes are tailored to suit the individual's needs to a very high standard.

Regular loss of personal belongings is a concern but staff, particularly the Activities lady, do constantly make every effort to find and recover the relevant articles. The general precautions to keep residents safe and secure, especially for severe dementia residents, are good.

Always made welcome when visiting my husband. Feel confident that he is being looked after very well. I would recommend this home to other people.

The chairs in the lounge really do need cleaning as there are a lot of stains on them and sometimes carry a smell of urine.

On entering Belmont House we found it a very warm and friendly. The staff all say "hello" to you. The activities are very good and the relatives are welcome to stay which is good for the residents. Rooms are very nice and warm. The staff are very caring and kind and I would be extremely likely to recommend this care provider to friends and family.

Mum has been a resident on Courtyard suite in Belmont House since August 2015 and during that time, has received excellent care both physical and emotional. Mum has a lovely modern light room all kept very clean. I am impressed with all staff on Courtyard and also Belmont House as a whole from the cleaners, laundry, admin team, kitchen, trolley, maintenance staff, the entertainment team and management.

I visit mum on most days so come into contact with many people around the premises and I am always made to feel welcome and there is a general feeling of friendliness and a desire to be helpful. Following an illness at Easter 2017, mum's care needs and dependencies increased significantly and since then the whole team on Courtyard have responded magnificently in a highly professional, attentive, friendly and reassuring way. Mum is treated with patience, respect and her welfare feels like everyone's priority. I am made welcome and kept informed and when mum was unwell, I felt supported by the staff. Thanks.

My review is about Promenade. The care from carers, on the whole, was excellent apart from one agency carer on one day.
The nurses have coped very well with the amount of illness on the unit in keeping everything running well. The activities lady for the unit, in spite of being ill herself, organised as much as she could for the residents with good results.
Food has been consistently good but I do have a strong concern about the health and safety for the kitchen area of the unit.

It is good that the carers respond willingly to requests for help with the residents or sorting out a problem.

My mother was quite poorly when she came to Belmont, over the weeks, she has improved somewhat. All the staff I have encountered seem to be professional and very kind which is reassuring. Her room seems comfortable with a pleasant view.

Overall, my impression is that Belmont is a place of calmness with an air of informality which puts one at ease. Security appears good, I have no concerns for my mother's safety or comfort. A very good care home.

The care my grandmother receives is outstanding. All the staff are so lovely they keep us informed and updated to the condition of my grandmother. She is given care of the highest standard, nothing is too much trouble and are always on hand to help advise. I have been very happy and impressed with the care home.

I have had some issues, but hopefully often complaining, these have been dealt with.
These issues seem to be when they have some agency staff on duty.
The regular carers are very good and do a good job, under difficult circumstances. I feel sure the home would benefit with a supervisor.

On the whole, my husband is being looked after very well and this is a good care home.

My friend and colleague is a retired professional musician.

Although I am only here occasionally, I have seen good care and attention with activities to keep people's minds working. Staff seem helpful with radio and CDs - which are of course important to a musician. Individual needs seem to be catered for.

On entering the car park it was very full and we were unable to park the car. We were asked not to park on the side as the land belonged to the school but eventually parked near a fence with limited time for parking.

On entering the home it was decorated nicely for the Christmas season. We signed in the book and we were let in by a staff member who was very friendly and showed us to our friend's room. It was very clean and had a friendly atmosphere. Our friend appeared very happy and content and looked well cared. for.

Thank you for your review.

We are aware that there is some congestion with the parking, we are in talks with the school and the Highways department, we are currently waiting on a response from the council and our local MP with a solution to the problem.

Again, thank you for your review, it is greatly appreciated.

Well cared for.
Well fed.
Home clean and well maintained.
The staff are brilliant with my husband.

Activities for men with a work/labour background are poor.

As a resident, I cannot fault my care home in any way whatsoever. I do not always agree with the furnishings and the decoration but this is a personal preference. The grey setee in the reception area is a disaster. The courtyard internal gardens are an absolute mess and need a professional to look at them and advise.

My mum was diagnosed, in hospital, with terminal cancer. She was admitted to Belmont House in the Palliative Care unit. When my sister and I looked around prior to her admission, we were bowled over by the welcoming, friendly and professional attitude of everyone we met.

During her stay she has been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The staff are brilliant without exception.

My mother has been a resident at Belmont House since August 2015.
She has a lovely room on Courtyard with patio door out to the garden which makes it bright and welcoming.
The staff are really good with her as she is still very anxious and needs reassuring.
Unfortunately, last year she was diagnosed with breast cancer and has subsequently undergone a mastectomy. Again, the staff were wonderful and extremely caring throughout the process. They have been helpful in ensuring she eats and drinks sufficient and has mostly stabilised her weight loss.
The staff are visibly a team who appear to go about their jobs in a caring and compassionate way, from the cleaners to the office staff and the support workers they all know my mother which is reassuring as I know she is being cared for not just as a resident but as a person they know and like.

The enthusiasm is evident with the team who provide entertainment which makes a huge difference to the quality of day to day life.
