Overall Experience

Due to increasing frailty, my Dad was admitted to Pinfold Lodge in December 2023 for emergency respite which then became permanent care as he became frailer. Dad sadly passed away in March 2024 due to his frailty. The home is small and has a family atmosphere. Dad was happy in the home and thought the carers and nurses were wonderful. His appetite was reducing and the home attempted to tempt him with a variety of foods. I live a considerable distance away 2 and a half hours drive and usually talk to Dad every day, the home accommodated this so I was able to talk to Dad virtually every day. When Dad deteriorated I was kept informed (I’m a nurse) of all developments which reassured me that Dad was receiving the best care. His clinical, physical, and psychological needs were well catered for by a compassionate team. Just need to mention the night nurses and carers who again were exceptional with Dad and compassionately cared for my emotional needs. I sincerely thank you all.

Overall Experience
As a retired District Nurse, having visited lots of care homes, I am very happy with Pinfold Lodge. It is very clean and tidy with a nice atmosphere. The staff are very caring and professional.

Mum needed 24-hour nursing care when my dad could no longer manage. She was very frightened at first, but thanks to the kindness and reassurance of the staff, she has started to settle. As my husband and I live 100 miles away we can't visit as often as we would like, but try to go once a week. My elderly dad visits her every day come rain or shine. Thank you Pinfold Lodge staff for taking good care of my precious mum.

Overall Experience

Due to a debilitating fall at 98, my Mother was extremely fortunate to secure a placement in Pinfold Lodge in January 2018. Having had almost 3 years, including a 100th Birthday Celebration in Pinfold Lodge, I have nothing but praise and admiration for their kindness, professionalism, high standards of cleanliness, care and wellbeing my Mother received. Throughout all the challenging times of the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic, safety and testing were exemplary. I live over 200 miles away from Pinfold but visited Mother ever fortnight up to the lockdown. Throughout her residency, I had never had any concerns she was not in a safe, caring and loving environment. Thank you to the Pinfold Family.
