Peacock Manor Nursing Home restores my faith in nursing homes. The standard of care is excellent. The staff are caring and attentive and respectful all the time - to patients and families alike. They always go the extra mile and I know, without a doubt, that my husband is safe. He has never fallen here,
unlike the 4 other places he went for respite. Peacock Manor is as near as home from home as is possible for a nursing home to be. I thank God for this place.

The care provided to Derek by the whole team at Peacock Manor was truly second to none. He was not the easiest of patients to care for given his complex needs but the patience, love and professionalism he was afforded was wonderful and very much appreciated. What was a very difficult time was made a
little easier and for this I will be forever grateful to everyone.

Dad has been at Peacock Manor for several months and it has made a significant difference to his well-being. HIs physical and mental health had been in serious decline due to dementia and it had become obvious that he needed a better quality of care than we were able to provide in his own home, including
nursing care. We cannot speak too highly of the genuine care shown by the staff here. They are kind, considerate and have huge respect for those more advanced in years, addressing challenging situations and behaviours with good humour. Dad now seems very settled, in spite of his initial reticence about going into care, and his physical health has improved due to the quality of the food provided within the home. He enjoys the regular and varied activities provided by the team who show a good understanding of the diversity of individual needs. When we visit, we are always greeted warmly and communication is always very good if dad needs, for example, extra medical intervention.
Reply from Arun Varghese, Manager at Peacock Manor Nursing HomeThank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt feedback. We are so pleased to hear that dad has settled well at Peacock Manor and that his health and wellbeing have improved since joining us. Your kind words about the compassion, humour, and dedication of our staff mean a great deal and will be shared with the whole team. It is wonderful to know that both dad and family feel supported, cared for, and warmly welcomed by everyone at the home.

Since my relative came to this home I have been very happy with the care received.
Management and staff are brilliant. Always remember me too. Smiling and attentive.
Activities coordinator excellent. Staff always have time for me and my relatives needs. Great communication when needed.
The home itself
is always spotless. No smells of overuse of bleach or any other smells very often found in care homes, this is particularly evident throughout the whole building.
Food is wonderful.
Invitations to activities and meetings sent in good time, meetings very useful and informative.
Attention to residents medical needs excellent.
Knowing my relative is at this home is a great relief and any worry is taken care of as I know they are well cared for and I will be informed immediately if necessary.

We found Peacock Manor very welcoming, I loved the fact that we could visit at anytime, our questions were always answered
We were able to access loved ones room arrange flowers making it as homely as possible
Our loved one was lucky enough to receive a place after a very disturbing hospital stay,
the routine, good nutrition along with activities made life as good as it could be.
End of life care again was the best it could be providing music, extra seating food & drink practically anything we requested, we will be forever grateful, a member of staff even cared enough to attend our loved one's funeral then even gave us knitted hearts we were very blessed

My dad received some excellent care at Peacock Manor. The staff were very attentive to his needs and did an excellent job of identifying what was important to his wellbeing. (He had complex needs with having dementia so this wasn't always the easiest of tasks for them but they excelled in being able
to address those needs.) There was always lots of enrichment activities going on for all the residents. All the staff were very caring and conscientious and had a good understanding of how difficult dementia can be for the residents family. When my dad was approaching the end of his life the senior nurses there tackled the conversation with me & his wife/my mum with particular care and skill which is a rare skill and much to be commended.

My husband has been in Peacock Manor since August 2025 after being in and out of hospitals for many years.
We have found Peacock Manor to be a very caring and loving place to be. My husband is happily settled and all his needs are met to a high standard by a very skilled staff. I have visited many
care homes in the past 30 years but this is one of the best. The staff always are smiling and care not only for the residents but for their family also. The home is very clean and bright. As my husband would say 'Its champion!'

My father has been living at Peacock Manor after a lengthy hospital admission.
Peacock Manor provides exceptional care. A highly skilled staff team who are kind, caring and compassionate. The staffing levels in place create a calm setting.
When visiting the staff team always give a lovely warm welcome
and provide detailed updates when needed which demonstrate that they really get to know the residents.
The home is beautifully clean and dad has a lovely room which has been personalised. The quality of food is superb with home made meals, cakes and fresh fruit served.
The residents are encouraged to participate in the weekly varied activities which my father greatly enjoys and he has been supported to make friends.
The home is set in the countryside and the garden and views create a peaceful setting and yes there are peacocks which my father greatly enjoys.
In Dads words, " the staff are lovely, no not lovely they are wonderful, it is brilliant here" .

I can genuinely say that my mother receives outstanding care in this setting, and I don't believe she could be anywhere better. She is content and well cared for physically. The home is always a pleasant environment to visit, being spotlessly clean, well organised and (generally) calm. The home has
invested significantly over recent years to provide a fantastic environment for the residents. The carers are excellent, and staffing levels are always high.

The care my husband has received during his time at Peacock Manor has been outstanding, we as a family feel very confident that my husband has the very best of care and he is treated with kindness and compassion. The home is always very clean and the staff are so welcoming whenever we visit always offering
tea/coffee upon arrival. There have been a couple of incidents where my husband needed urgent assistance and the care home manager and sisters were there immediately with such skill, knowledge, and professionalism. The food looks delicious and my husband's bedroom is big enough for his needs. All in all, we consider ourselves lucky that our loved one is in the care of Peacock Manor and this place is second to none in our opinion.
