Following an overnight stay in A & E, I spent 9 nights here from Sunday 8 June 2025, sleeping in a bed reserved by the NHS for rehab patients. I was treated well and with great kindness before being taken back to my own home. My thanks to all members of staff in every capacity.

Staff - caring and attentive, and friendly.
Atmosphere - welcoming.
Overall, my husband was very happy in the manner in which he was treated - he certainly enjoyed the food!. Only once criticism - he found the TV too loud!


My husband returned to the home on 26th June but sadly passed away on 29th

June. With regard to this visit I can only repeat how wonderfully he was cared for. In those last few days the regard of the staff for him was outstanding - gentle, loving care, dignity, kindness were apparent all the time. As a family the staff cared for us also lovingly, which was lovely in a very difficult time.

Very pleasant staff and always helpful. They only looked after my mum for a short period, but her short stay was very welcoming. Visiting hours are not restricted except for meal times, which is understandable. Big thank you to all the staff.

I was a resident for re enablement care.The staff were very supportive ensuring my care and supporting me in my exercises, mediation to enable me to return to my home. All staff and residents were very welcoming and the food was excellent. Thank you so much for the help and support. I would hesitate

Mum came to Fulford nursing home for rehabilitation after a fall. She was there from 27.11.24 to 13.12.24. She was very happy with her stay. The food was excellent and the staff very good. She had to share a room which wouldn't have been her preference but thankfully got on well with her roommate. The
only problem was the toilet. It was in the tiniest cupboard and they could barely close the door which offered very little privacy. Other than that her stay was needed by both of us and the care she got was great. Thank you.

I was a resident at Fulford Nursing Home from 06/01/2025 until 14/01/2025. I was pleasantly surprised to find a truly home from home after sometimes not so good reports care homes in news reports. I was only there for 8 days and I was very comfortable and content. I thought the food to be restaurant
quality and all staff excellent and very kind.

My dad came in here to rehabilitation and came out worse, plus half his clothes were missing when he came out. I rang up about them but no one rang back, the place was OK but I certainly wouldn't pay to go in there.

A very good experience. I felt well cared for and looked after. I really enjoyed the food and the company.
I wasn't too keen on sharing a room and felt the bedroom was too small for two people.
My short stay helped prepare me for a return to my own home.

Fulford Nursing Home looked after a family friend for several years with a high level of skill, enormous care and dignity and outstanding kindness. My experience, visiting her over the years, has always been of a home with a friendly, cheerful and very welcoming atmosphere both for residents and visitors.
The day rooms are comfortable, warm and attractive and the staff going in and out clearly know each person well, talking to them and attending to their various needs in a way that shows their knowledge. In her bedroom, they created a personal corner for her taking care to put up her pictures and china so that it felt as homely for her.


Our friend was beautifully looked after and treated with dignity and respect. The staff always took any concerns she or I had seriously and responded to them. The staff at Fulford Nursing Home work very much as a team so she had consistency of care. I can never thank the staff enough for the care and kindness she received over her years at Fulford Nursing Home.

This is my first experience of living in a home and I am pleasantly surprised - particularly at the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff of all levels, management down to the floor cleaner. The only disappointment is my failure to be able to start to meet other residents (some of them never leave
their rooms) and those who are hard of hearing only talk in whispers.
