Overall Experience
Mum was admitted to Fulford Nursing Home after being diagnosed as 'end of life' and I can honestly say this care home is one of the best. The staff are absolutely amazing with all the residents and showed my Mum the utmost care and compassion. The COVID measures were excellent, testing before every visit to ensure the safety of the residents and staff. The food is excellent, cooked by their own chef to residents requirements, nothing was too much trouble. The house is an Edwardian building with a lovely garden and nearby parking.

The staff always had time to talk to me about Mum and I was always kept informed about her declining condition during her 10-day stay. One of the nurses was with Mum, holding her hand when she passed away and I'm eternally grateful for that. Many thanks to all of you for your kindness.

The staff were delightful but very hard-pressed. I sometimes needed to be escourted to the toilet and has to wait an hour or more if my need occurred at the 'wrong time'.

My mother moved from her previous care/nursing home and went from end of life to stable. Fulford are outstanding, caring, kind and exceptional in what they do. I am extremely grateful for the time they have given me back with my mum.

Very friendly approachable staff always caring and very helpful. Ready to give advice if needed regarding the resident's welfare. 2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone but the staff at Fulford have gone the extra mile keeping the residents entertained and focused on a daily basis. I can’t thank them enough for looking after my sister and keeping me up to date with everything that is going on.

From feeling worried and insecure, my stay at Fulford Nursing Home has given me a new lease of life. The staff and service here are quite simply wonderful and have attended to my every need. All done on a family atmosphere. I lack achievement, but they do it a Fulford Nursing home. The staff work as a team and all get on together.

Although situations can change rapidly, and as a result become very difficult for everyone. The carers cope very well and still provide excellent care. Thank you.

I went to Fulford Nursing Home following a fall and was there for just over a month. The staff were lovely, treating me with care and kindness. The home-cooked food was great! My dignity was respected and I felt safe.

The staff and the food were excellent. The two chefs did a wonderful job with what they produced. Each meal had a choice of many dishes and their staff were caring. The nursing staff were caring, the nursing staff were always kind and they handled the difficult patients gently.

During my short stay at the Fulford Nursing Home, I was made most welcome by the staff, who all worked together as a team.
All patients were treated with respect. Nothing was any trouble for the staff. I was helped in every way possible and you were made to feel at home.
Food; it was fit for King or Queen.

No complaints whatsoever.

No complaints.

My only criticism would be that the building is not entirely suited (agewise) for purpose.

If someone had a fall like I did and needed help walking, I think it was excellent. In the six days I was in Fulford I thought the staff would do anything to help you and very pleasant.

I was well cared for during my stay at the nursing home.
The staff were very attentive to my needs, including taking me for short walks. Visiting O/T staff drew up a series of exercises for me to do. My shared bedroom was comfortable and adequately furnished. The nursing staff ensured that residents received their medication at the appropriate times.

There was a choice of food at breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Tea/coffee etc and snacks were available, mid-morning, mid-afternoon and prior to bedtime.
