My nan is a resident at Balmoral Care home and I honestly can’t fault the staff in any way at all! It’s a big decision choosing to put a family member in a home, but Balmoral has made her and us feel so welcome and comfortable. Thank you.

I've found the staff at Balmoral Court to be incredibly helpful and vigilant. They have been very accommodating to me and my family and do a great job looking after my mom.

They've provided a wide range of stimulating activities for her and took great care in ensuring they know her likes and dislikes. We're always made to feel very welcome.

My mother went into this care home at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic so we were not able to have a look around before she was admitted. During her time there we were not able to visit very often because of lockdown but on the occasions that we did the staff could not give us any information about what my mother had been doing or how she was adapting. On two occasions my mother had injuries that the staff had failed to notice but we noticed through a glass door. One of these injuries was a broken finger that required hospital treatment. The staff could give no explanation as to how this injury occurred and when examined in the hospital we were told that the injury was about four days old. The other injury was deep scratches to her face that were caused by some wire my mother had wrapped around her finger. Again the staff had not noticed it but we were able to see it even though we were on the opposite side of a glass door.

Always found the home very helpful. They kept me informed how my dad was doing, which was especially good given that we have not been able to visit much the last year or so. We have now visited twice recently and can see he is happy living here.

Everything seems to be satisfactory, hard to say too much specific when restrictions have been tough but the staff i speak to are super helpful. One member of staff has been particularly helpful when we have called up.

My friend who used to reside at Balmoral Court was well looked after by the staffing team. We had regular calls using Skype together because I now lived abroad and she was quite fond of the staff there. From what she told me the Quality of Care was fantastic and she was very happy and enjoyed the activities the home provided on a daily basis. I'd like to thank the staff for their hard work and dedication

My Aunty was admitted to Balmoral Court for end-of-life care, after a short stay in hospital.
I would offer my sincere thanks to the staff of the Kate Unit for the gentle, compassionate and professional care they provided. My aunt was able to spend her last few days in quiet dignity, with her closest family nearby.
The management team was completely clear about what to expect and accommodating when the hospital failed to provide adequate information on the patient transfer.

I would thoroughly recommend this care home to anyone in a similar situation.

Staff have done a fantastic job looking after my uncle during the pandemic. He seems to be very happy when we video call him and he is looking healthy. Couldn't be happier with the care he is receiving at Balmoral Court.

My grandmother came to the home in November, during that time She has settled in extremely well and is enjoying herself. During regular video calls, she tells me she likes the staff and the activities that they do and is very fond of the chickens and rabbits they have onsite.

I currently Live away from Newcastle and my friend has been a resident at Balmoral Court for a number of years, Over the festive period, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating for arranging remote phone calls and for allowing me to drop gifts into the home for Christmas Day. The staff need a round of applause for their hard work and dedication in keeping our loved ones save during these difficult times.

I recently volunteered at Balmoral Court on activities. This was my first time in a care environment and the quality of care I witnessed was fantastic across the entire home. The care staff are fantastic and made me feel extremely welcome at all times. The activities girls within the home are fantastic, there is always something to do at the home and there are singers in the home at least once a month and regular outings. The residents and families seem extremely happy with all aspects of life and the management team are fantastic. The registered home manager is fantastic and always strives to improve some aspect of the home.

I'd defiantly recommend Balmoral to my friends and family if they ever need a care home..

I visit my friend on a regular basis at Balmoral Court, the level of care is fantastic, with excellent activities with regular entertainers. The girls do a fantastic job. The care staff are very professional and caring. The manager is very dedicated and always makes me feel welcome and answers any questions or concerns really quickly. The nurses are also fantastic.

Fantastic home and staffing team, feels more like a family than a care home.

Visited to find my mam very disorientated and in a state that she used to be in at a previous home. I explained to the staff that I suspected her blood sugars were high due to the way she was presenting.
A nurse immediately took a reading and they were high. The staff were very supportive to me as they could see I was disturbed.
The whole situation was managed in a highly professional and caring manner.

The following day mam was back to her normal lovely self but the nurse on duty kept me informed via phone to reassure me that mam was ok.

The staff have been very helpful and welcoming since I've moved my dad here.

Especially since he can't speak English so it's sometimes hard to understand what he's asking for. They've made sure to include him in activities.
