My mother is a resident at St Joseph's. She has dementia, and her caring needs are substantial. Overall, I am extremely happy with the care she receives at St Joseph's. The staff are always friendly and treat my mother with dignity and respect. My mother is happy, which is all I can ask at this stage
of her life. The nuns are extremely supportive and friendly, and one sister always goes out of her way to make a fuss of my mother, and another sister is equally as friendly.

My mother-in-law went to St Joseph's for a week's respite care. She was very reluctant at first, but the staff took extra time to help her settle in and took very good care of her. When we went to pick her up at the end of the week, she was joining in with activities and looked so much more interactive
than we had seen for a long time. She did tell us that she had enjoyed her time there and had changed her mind about care homes. I just wish we had let her have longer in respite as it was so good for her and the staff were so nice. Hopefully, we can get her back there at some time on a permanent basis.

My family are very satisfied with the care my mother receives at St Joseph's. The home is clean, warm and welcoming, the facilities are excellent, and the staff and volunteers are always very professional, friendly and caring. There are daily activities Monday to Friday should you wish to attend, daily
Mass in the chapel, a lovely garden to spend time in, a library with plenty of books to borrow, pleasant lounges to sit in, and large communal areas. There is a shop to buy sweets, toiletries and cards. Overall, I rate St Joseph's as excellent

Our mum/nana is a resident here. We are so thankful to all the staff for the fantastic care she receives. She is so happy there and is always saying how wonderful and kind the staff are, how she has lots of laughs and has made lots of friends. When we visit, we see how caring the staff are and how well

My mother has been a resident at St Joseph's since April 2022, when we moved her from another (poor) care home after only six weeks. St Joseph's is an outstanding facility with professional, friendly staff and is always welcoming to visitors. I have been impressed at how the home makes contact with
myself on a regular basis and keeps all of the family updated. My mother is clean, well-fed and, most importantly, cared for, not just looked after. There are numerous activities for the residents and even outside trips to the seaside and the pantomime. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others and only wish there were more like it. Well done to the staff, volunteers and church.

My aunt and uncle moved into St Joseph's five months ago, and from day one, they have been made to feel so very welcome by staff and fellow residents alike.
The kindness shown by all staff members towards them both has been outstanding, with some acts of kindness really going beyond what we, as family
members, expected. Facilities are of a high standard, with plenty of activities planned to keep them fully entertained.

My aunt has been very well cared for, and all her needs have been met. She has improved in every way physically and looks so much better than when she arrived. This is thanks to all members of staff who have treated her with patience, kindness and respect. St Joseph's is a wonderful, safe, caring home,
and she is so fortunate to be able to live there as it is very important for her to be able to attend all the services as she has always been religious. I am always welcome when I come to visit, and the atmosphere is calm and friendly. The activities are also very helpful in her situation. Thank you so much.

The care provided is first class, the premises scrupulously clean, and the staff provide an outstanding level of care to the residents and visitors alike. All are welcoming, and as far as care homes go, this is an outstanding example for the sector.

St Joseph's care home is like a family to the people in their care. My dear friend was a resident for a number of years before she sadly passed away. All of the staff did a fantastic job caring for her in her last week, and the nursing staff were amazing and attentive to her every need. Controlling
her pain, keeping her comfortable and keeping us informed of any changes. We received reassurance and were made to feel at home through this awful time. The grounds are wonderful, and the chapel is accessible no matter what your mobility is like. I would not hesitate to recommend this home from home.

My aunt has lived at St Joseph's for 5-years and thoroughly enjoyed herself. Her first comments when I visited were, 'I've moved into a 5-star hotel'. She was well looked after, and in the last 12-months, my aunt's health has deteriorated, yet the staff have continued to take care of her even through
challenging times. I can't praise the staff highly enough for their kindness and caring approach. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone considering living there.

St Joseph’s is focused solely on providing the very best care it can for all its residents. It is a family, where the residents and their family are part of one big family, one which is full of love and compassion. The staff are simply amazing; they are so dedicated, committed and hard-working, treating
all with such love, dignity and respect at all times. Whatever is needed, the staff do without question and always go that extra mile to support and care for their residents. It’s a truly wonderful place.

St Joseph's is a wonderful care home with a beautiful chapel and stunning grounds. The staff are very caring, respectful and professional. They seem to know all the residents very well and cater to their individual personalities and spiritual, physical and emotional needs. Visitors are always made welcome,
and they have gone above and beyond to continue to support family/friends contact during the pandemic wherever possible. I would definitely recommend St Joseph's to everyone.

I fell and broke my upper arm. The care home kindly took me in the following day from the hospital and gave me excellent respite care. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good, and the facility is very clean. It's almost like staying in a 5-star hotel.

My mother moved into St Joseph's Home two and a half years ago, already living with advanced Parkinson's Disease. Sadly she passed away last week, but all the time she was there her care was second to none. The excellent nursing staff were always proactive regarding her medical needs, and the care staff
were always friendly, considerate and skilled in giving her the considerable help she needed. The accommodation and grounds are beautiful, too - overall a lovely place to be.

In May, my mother was discharged from hospital into the care of St Joseph's. She was frail, seriously underweight and understandably low in mood. She had severe pressure ulcers and the hospital's prognosis for her recovery from them was poor.
St Joseph's welcomed her warmly, and an immediate and thorough
assessment of her needs was made. The excellent nursing staff have patiently and successfully treated her pressure sores, an outcome that hospital staff had not thought possible. She is enjoying the good food and has made significant gains in weight. Her health has improved, her mood has lifted, she speaks of feeling safe, and is looking forward to her future there. That St Joseph's has achieved so much for my mother in such a short time, in the midst of the challenges posed by the global pandemic, is remarkable. It is a testament to the dedication and care of the whole staff group and to the culture of integrity and hard work fostered by the strong and committed leadership team.

My mother spent nearly 3 months in St Josephs. Although some of the carers and nurses achieved high standards the leadership of the home was very poor. I had high hopes that this could be a good place for my mother to be looked after, I regret that my hopes were thoroughly dashed and consequently I
am unable to recommend St Joseph's as a suitable environment for the vulnerable.

We tried very hard to meet Richard's Mother's needs but as time went by it became evident that St Joseph's was not the right place for her. The decision to terminate her contract was not taken lightly and we hope that she will feel happy and secure where her needs are being fully met.
