My friend said he has plenty of space in his room - when I asked if he thought the Beaconsfield was good value for money he said yes.
When asked if he had anything else to say about living here, my friend stated no.

Bedrooms a little small for people using electric wheelchairs. The rooms were clean and tidy. Care overall was very good although help with showers and baths was a little wanting. The food was very good. Entertainment very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall very good.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We really value the feedback provided by those who use our services.
At Beaconsfield Court we have rooms in various sizes; residents are able to choose their room from those available at the time of admission. Residents staying for respite care are accommodated in the available vacant rooms.
Residents needs and preferences are discussed at the pre-admission assessment to ensure we can meet the individual's care requirements. We offer baths / showers at various times throughout the day to respect the resident’s choice and preferences.

I was visiting my friend of over 20 years and your home was so so welcoming. Your staff made me feel very welcome and my friend looks so cared for and looked after. It was so much for his wife to cope with and we all know he is now in a better place for his disability.

My mother was a resident of the above care home for approx 4 1/2 years. (Died end of March) During this period her care was very good, her room was always clean and tidy. The food was excellent, plenty of variety. Entertainment was good, trips out in the minibus and many live entertainers. All the staff
were caring and supportive. Security arrangements were very good.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.605)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.605) out of 10 for Beaconsfield Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.905 for Beaconsfield Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.905
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaconsfield Court Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
