Since moving my mum to Kingsway Nursing Home I have found the care to be outstanding. She has only been here a short while but the difference in her is immense. Everything she needs has been put into place immediately. The staff are always on hand and happy to spend time with her doing small tasks or sitting talking to her. They are a great support to the family. Fantastic!!
Thank you for your lovely kind review. It is our pleasure and privilege to provide care and support to you Mum.
Happy with everything.
Love us all here. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
Staff are very committed and observant as well as dedicated.
I am confident that my mother is receiving as much attention as she requires.
I am always informed of any issues.
Care home is very nice. All staff are very friendly. My brother is looked after very well. He has everything he needs. It makes his stay here very nice. He enjoys the meals. He likes time on his own but does speak to staff and is friendly with some of the residents. Overall he is happy to be there.
My dad has been here for 2 years and I can't complain at all. Very helpful and friendly staff towards my dad as well as me and my mam.
My mother has been a resident in Kingsway for 10 years. She has complex needs resulting from Huntington's Disease and the care she has received in her time there has been excellent. Thank you to all the staff.
Loving and caring staff. Going the extra mile. Always find them on hand to attend to all needs. Attentive and watchful over all the house mates. Ensure that they are always clean and that they finish their meals.
I popped in to see my mother-in- law on Saturday 21 May. Was thrilled at the decor and the tremendous effort that the Home Manager had gone to, in order to brighten up the home. The canvas paintings on the wall depicting local scenes is an inspired idea. The whole home seemed bright and fresh and well looked after. Mother-in-law was in good form, happy and content and in good health. Couldn't ask for more.
My mother-in-law continues to receive a very high standard of care. We are kept up to date with any issues. The fact that my mother-in-law is now in her 85th year, suffering from Huntington's Disease, which sadly prevents her from full communication, and is still happy and seemingly content, is testimony to the care she receives in Kingsway. Without that devotion it is possible that she may not have survived as long as she has so far.
On first visiting this nursing home, I was impressed with its ambience what a lovely welcoming place. Since my mother has been admitted, my first impressions have been reinforced. The staff are so caring and professional. My mother had been bed-ridden for six months and within forty eight hours she was sitting comfortably in a chair in her day clothes. I cannot praise this nursing home highly enough.

Meet the Team (1)

I began my career in health and social care as a Care Assistant in a dual-registered care home in 2015. After completing my Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, I progressed to a Senior Care Assistant role before undertaking specialist training as a Nursing Assistant. This enabled me to develop clinical skills including phlebotomy, basic wound care and insulin administration.
Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care, I went on to complete my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care in 2021. This led to my promotion to Deputy Manager and subsequently Home Manager, where I have now gained five years' experience leading large care services.
I am committed to continuous professional development and am currently studying towards my Level 7 qualification in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care. I take great pride in supporting both residents and colleagues, creating a warm, compassionate environment where people can thrive and receive the highest standards of care.
