On behalf of the whole family, I would like to say thank you to all the staff for the care and affection that they have given to my mother-in-law throughout her stay. She enjoyed a laugh with the staff and, prior to Covid, she enjoyed trips out - not to mention fish and chips on occasion! Everyone has
always welcomed our family too.
More recently, as her health declined, staff were especially attentive. During her final days, they extended that care and attention to her family. looking after us too as we stayed with her. For that, we are very grateful.
Over the years, especially during Covid, it has been reassuring to have peace of mind, knowing that she has been well looked after by caring and professional staff. Thank you all so much.

I cannot thank the staff at Bishopsgate enough for the loving care that they gave to my mother since she arrived there over two years ago.
Pre-Covid, I was struck by the genuinely friendly approach to us and that there were a significant number of long serving staff.
Covid was a nightmare for care
homes, so I was delighted that a number of these staff are still there now.
My mother passed on June 8, and thanks again to the home, I was able to stay there for a few days, enabling me to spend invaluable quality time with my mother.
From the manager, nurses, carers and support staff - I received nothing but warmth and care towards my mother.
All of this gave her a peaceful passing.
I’ll miss my contact with some of these lovely people.
Hopefully, some will be able to attend her funeral and wake.

My father was placed there from the stroke ward after having a severe stroke.
It says on the home website they have rehabilitation for stroke victims, yet they had no idea how to cope or look after my father.
My father most of the time was just left in his room in soiled or smelly clothes.
He could
not walk or use the loo without supervision so if he rang his help buzzer most of the time he was ignored.
I mentioned it they just put a commode in his room which was hardly ever cleaned and most of the time when I visited was filthy.
I would not recommend this so-called care home. One of the home's managers is just not interested at all in the care of her residents.

All staff at Bishopsgate Lodge Care Home have undertaken training to be able to care for Residents with different medical conditions. Our equipment is checked daily before and after use to ensure that it meets the needs of the Residents. We are sorry to hear that you feel we were unable to meet the needs of your Father. During this stay, we would have been more than happy to have organised a meeting where we could have discussed any concerns you may have had so that these could have been resolved.

Lovely caring staff, mam made very welcome and comfortable, staff very polite and professional. Mam was in for respite care after being unsteady and lost some confidence, also severely sight impaired, unbelievable to what she got involved in whilst there.

My sister-in-law came into Bishopsgate five and half years ago, she suffers from a progressive debilitating condition. The care she receives is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. The family are so happy with her care.

Visited my mother-in-law today and her clothing was disgusting, dirty like she has had it on for days. She's walking very poorly and I mentioned on my last visit about her needing a zimmer frame but no one got back to me. She nearly fell coming to see us, she is saying she is not eating and thinks she's
dying.

Mum never wanted to come into a home but when I speak to her she seems happy and enjoys the life and activities, but still enjoying her life outside the home with local friends i.e. Going to the pub, out of lunch etc. She feels important as she is a committee member.

I wanted a bigger room because I have a lot of family who visit daily. A room became available. I have chosen my own colour scheme and accessories and will feel more content than I feel now. All my carers, management, nurses could not be more caring and helpful. They are all wonderful.

When I was at home I was on my own, it got to the stage where I did not want to go out. But since I have been here I have met friends and join in most of the activities. I have not looked back since I have come here. The staff are very good, management very helpful and good. Meals you have a choice,
like most things.

The staff welcome you and I get a good breakfast. Some staff go out of their way to be helpful. My room is a bit small and would like a bigger one in the future. The views are wonderful from the home. All staff are very kind. Activities are very good, you can come and go as long as you sign in and out.
