The staff have been amazing providing mum with 24hr care and 12hr after some really tough weeks and hospital visits. Mum is beginning to relax again and settle back down to her normal self. Since there has been a change in management the standards in place for my Dad's care, simply put, are outstanding. She's made positive changes to the staffing, the daily routine and the overall care he receives. As a family we are informed about his health and care. All the staff take time to talk to
my Dad to make sure he's okay, not lonely, they help him to the garden and talk to him about sports. The home have helped us bring his PC into his room and wall mount his sky glass tv so he has all the comfort he would at home. At a time when he needs extra support it's comforting to know he's in the best possible place.

After taking my nan out of a "luxury" care home I was very apprehensive.
The staff are so genuinely caring and compassionate and this is something that cannot be taught. They are all so positive and kind. This level of care was amazing and I felt so reassured that my nan had arrived somewhere which
felt so homely.
stand out moment-when we first arrived the staff member greeted my nan and came down to her level, shook her hand and introduced himself. Sometimes people in wheelchairs can get overlooked and this was never the case.
All the staff and managers are wonderful. Particularly the ward manager who took such great care of my nan towards the end of her life.
Also another staff member in particular who was so positive and always called me with updates etc on days I couldn't go and see my nan. So genuine and kind.
The manager is such a wonderful person who always checked in on us all and cares so much about the staff and residents.
All the staff are absolute assets to this home.

My mum is happy and settled in this Care Home. She has become more trusting of some of the regular care staff and more willing to comply. This is due to the fact that the Care Staff have persevered in forming a good relationship with her. Staff are always very welcoming to me when I visit. They always
seem to be cheerful and happy despite the fact that they work long hours and have a complex job. I am grateful for all the considerate care that they give to my mum.

My mum was recently taken to hospital and whilst visiting her, the nurse who was looking after her wanted to give me some positive feedback about my mum's carehome.
She told me as my mum is bed bound and hoist lifted she would expect to see signs of bed sores or marks on her as this unfortunately happens,
but she could see no sign of this on mum, which is evidence she is well looked after.
She said the care home are doing a fantastic job caring for my mum and wanted me to pass this message on to the home.
I couldn't agree more, mum is very happy in Beechcroft and all the staff are amazing.

I travel a distance of 20+ miles to visit and on my first time I was offered a cup of tea and sat with my sister while she had her lunch. I always find the staff very accomodating and pleasant, easy to talk to. I have seen the meals presented and I feel they are well cooked and suitable for my sisters
needs, meat is tender and sliced thinly, veg is or looks fresh not frozen. Care is excellent and although she doesn't avail herself of entertainment and activities she is encouraged to do so.

from A D (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 March 2025

The staff at the care home I cannot fault, they are caring and considerate and nothing is too much trouble. However the unit could really do with updating such as painting, new furniture and freshening up outside as well as cupboards and doors fixed in rooms. The kitchen could also be modernised and
at the moment it doesn't even have a working light and the staff are using a lamp which is really unacceptable. Considering how much people pay to have their loved ones stay here then having nicer surroundings would bring greater comfort.

Thank you for your review and kind words you shared about our staff.Regarding your comments on the facilities, we want to assure you that the provider is already aware of the areas that need improvement.
