Myself and my family are currently working through the end stages our mam's life and we are being supported by the most amazing group of managers, nurses, carers, and all other staff involved in the running of Stapleton House. My mam is receiving fantastic care and the compassion being shown to her
and the whole family is beyond amazing. Everything from her care and medical needs and offering myself and my sister drinks, food, support and a shoulder to cry at all times of the day. They are amazing!!

Reply from Stacey Wilson, home manager at Stapleton House Care Centre

Many thanks for this wonderful review, lovely to hear that you felt your Mum as well as your family received a high standard of Care from the team at Stapleton. We will share these lovely comments with the staff team and send our condolences to you and your family.

I have found staff to be extremely hard working respectful and give residents dignity. Nothing is too much trouble. Improvements: I think their needs to be more recreational facilities for example darts, jigsaw, pool, chess, dominoes, draughts and other games. Further the rooms (doors etc) needs a little
work on them.

My wife was admitted to Tollesby Hall on Friday 13th June 2025 and spent 5 weeks in the nursing section before passing away with Alzeimers Decease. Having been discharged from hospital on a Friday afternoon into the residential section was not the right decision, I think the home was caught short by
the information given by the hospital. Once moved upstairs to the nursing section proved to be more appropriate.
The care given by the health carers was excellent and the nurses are very professional. The private room was large and airy with ensuite.

The new Manager at Stapleton House is truly amazing the changes are immediately noticeable .
Today I heard a member of staff saying how happy they were and loved coming to work, I also heard lots of laughter and saw residents including Dad being taken into the garden and the staff happy to do it. She
has brought a renewed energy to Stapleton House and respect it is a pleasure to visit and see both Happy Staff. Happy Residents! On a very personal note what ever you are paying her she is worth her weight in Gold she cares about both staff and residents. Thank you to the manager we appreciate you.

My mum is happily settled in Beecroft. She has had a few health scares during her time but I was kept informed at all times by considerate and caring staff. I visit most days and all the care workers welcome me with a smile and a little chat which I really appreciate as I know how busy they are. The
food is exceptionally good - good variety and beautifully home cooked. The office manager is warm and welcoming and willing to help and advise. The maintenance person, activities people, cleaners and laundry ladies do fantastic work - nothing is too much trouble. Despite how busy the manager is he always asks me how I am too. I would recommend Beechcroft as a safe, caring home.

This care home is appalling, there is a lack of care towards the residents the staff do not seem interested in anything the residents say. On a visit I was greeted with a lady wondering around with only soiled underwear on and a top, the staff didn't seem to care and when they noticed they just put
her into her room they didn't help her get sorted they just walked straight out. Staff charging their phones in residents rooms, which to me is very unprofessional when they can charge it in the office. The staff are unprofessional, and the manger only protects his staff and not the residents when asked for a meeting it is all his way or the high way, you are made to feel you can't have a voice because to him you are wrong and he is right which he makes known. He makes residents feel scared & unwanted, I worry about my family member every day. Every time I visit I come away with a new concern, I worry about other residents I do not know. This care home is not fit to care for your loved ones.

I was concerned when my husband had to transfer from a care home to Ferndale. The hospital consultant emphasised the need for nursing care from February 2025. My concerns were groundless. Beechcroft Care Home

from Leanne S (Mother-in-law of Resident) published on 23 June 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother in law came to this home in May 25 and put on ASH wing for EMI nursing needs. The welcome was amazing, with the clinical lead and unit manager/nurse. Her room is lovely and spacious. All the carers came at different times of the day to introduce themselves and not overwhelm my mother in law.
The care they all provide is incredible, this includes housekeeping, Maintenace, kitchen and activity staff who all deserve praise. The manager of the home is lovely and will help with anything. The support they give to us as a family is amazing, my father in law is finding it very difficult with this decision and the reassurance and kind words Sue has given him has meant so much to him. Some people are quick to call care homes, but Beechcroft go above and beyond everyday with all the residents, well done.

Reply from Florin Hergheligiu, Home Manager at Beechcroft Care Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review about your mother-in-law's experience on ASH wing since May. It really warms our hearts to know that we were able to make what is often a difficult transition feel as smooth and welcoming as possible for both her and your family. We completely understand how challenging this decision has been for your father-in-law, and we're so glad that the clinical lead and the team have been able to provide the reassurance and support your family needed during this time. Supporting families is just as important to us as caring for our residents. Thank you for trusting us with your mother-in-law's care - we're honoured to be part of your family's journey.

So happy Dad got accepted to go into Delamere Lodge. We were worried where he would end up after a not great stay in hospital. This was the only home who came out to actually meet him and didn't write him off on reading a report.
Dad has made great progress to the point we have been able to bring
him home. Staff have been very accommodating of our needs and done everything they could to make his stay as safe and comfortable as possible. They have been there to support the whole family when things have been tough which has been much appreciated.
Dad certainly got his appetite back in here, the meals have been fantastic. There's always a good selection and plenty of snacks for the residents. He certainly won't be getting a cooked breakfast every day at home!
Thank you to the staff, your support means the world to the families of the patients in your care.

Reply from Sarah Mann, Home Manager at Delamere Lodge Care Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. Your dad made such great progress during his stay with us, and to see he was well enough to return home - that's truly wonderful news.It means a great deal to our team to know that their efforts to meet and truly understand your dad were recognised, especially during what must have been a very challenging time for you and your family. We firmly believe in looking beyond paperwork to see the person, and we're so pleased that made a difference. We're also glad to hear your dad enjoyed the meals - we do try to make them something to look forward to each day (though we agree, daily cooked breakfasts might be a tough act to follow at home!).On behalf of everyone at Delamere Lodge, thank you for your kind words and trust. Supporting not just our residents but their families too is a core part of what we do, and your appreciation means the world to us.Wishing your dad continued good health and happiness at home

Mum moved into Landona House in March for a period of respite. Luckily she has now been given a permanent place here.
Since moving in mum has become the happiest and most relaxed that I've seen her since dad passed away 7 years ago.
This is down to the wonderful staff here, led by the manager. Everything
from the cleanliness, meals, activities and of course the care given is superb. Mum now looks forward to the regular activities and has a wonderful rapport with all the staff. Its a pleasure to visit here, you're always made to feel welcome, and you leave happy knowing that your loved ones are in great hands.
I cannot thank Virgi and her team enough.

My late father was cared for by the wonderful staff; they did everything they could for him, feeding him, washing him, and even shaving him. We were glad he had 24-hour care, which we couldn't provide for at home, so grateful there are places like this.
