My father was a resident in this nursing home for the last few weeks of this life, due to Lewy Body Dementia. I cannot praise the care of all the nursing and care staff highly enough. Their compassion and genuine concern shone though. They were also very supportive of myself and my family as we
spent the last few days with our beloved dad. They have a very difficult job to do in this specialised area of care and their humour and friendly approach to all the residents and families was a breath of fresh air,.
All the staff should be proud of the way they undertake their important role. It really felt like it was a home from home for the residents.
Reply from Sarah-Jane Mann, Home Manager at Delamere Lodge Care Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and thoughtful words about your experience with us. Knowing that this was felt and appreciated by you and your family means so much to us all.We recognise how emotional those final days can be, and we are deeply grateful that you trusted us to be part of your father's journey. Please know that your dad will always be remembered here at Delamere Lodge, and your words will bring great comfort and encouragement to our whole team.On behalf of everyone at Delamere Lodge, we extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

My Mother in Law was in the care home for 13 months. Due to a change in her circumstances she had to be moved. Nothing at all to do with Beechcroft.
The care she has received during her 13 months was exemplary. The staff were wonderful and attentive. We visited at different times during the day and
nothing was ever too much trouble.
The food served was excellent and cooked fresh daily. Help feeding if required was always given.

Our mum was placed in Beechcroft from June 2024 until July 2025. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control she was moved to another location.
During her stay she was treated with respect, kindness, compassion and received excellent care. All members of nursing and care staff were extremely
attentive to mum and attended to her every need. We are sad mum had to leave as she could not have been treated better anywhere else.

I have found staff to be extremely hard working respectful and give residents dignity. Nothing is too much trouble. Improvements: I think their needs to be more recreational facilities for example darts, jigsaw, pool, chess, dominoes, draughts and other games. Further the rooms (doors etc) needs a little
work on them.

My wife was admitted to Tollesby Hall on Friday 13th June 2025 and spent 5 weeks in the nursing section before passing away with Alzeimers Decease. Having been discharged from hospital on a Friday afternoon into the residential section was not the right decision, I think the home was caught short by
the information given by the hospital. Once moved upstairs to the nursing section proved to be more appropriate.
The care given by the health carers was excellent and the nurses are very professional. The private room was large and airy with ensuite.

My mum is happily settled in Beecroft. She has had a few health scares during her time but I was kept informed at all times by considerate and caring staff. I visit most days and all the care workers welcome me with a smile and a little chat which I really appreciate as I know how busy they are. The
food is exceptionally good - good variety and beautifully home cooked. The office manager is warm and welcoming and willing to help and advise. The maintenance person, activities people, cleaners and laundry ladies do fantastic work - nothing is too much trouble. Despite how busy the manager is he always asks me how I am too. I would recommend Beechcroft as a safe, caring home.

Beechcroft Care Home

This care home is appalling, there is a lack of care towards the residents the staff do not seem interested in anything the residents say. On a visit I was greeted with a lady wondering around with only soiled underwear on and a top, the staff didn't seem to care and when they noticed they just put
her into her room they didn't help her get sorted they just walked straight out. Staff charging their phones in residents rooms, which to me is very unprofessional when they can charge it in the office. The staff are unprofessional, and the manger only protects his staff and not the residents when asked for a meeting it is all his way or the high way, you are made to feel you can't have a voice because to him you are wrong and he is right which he makes known. He makes residents feel scared & unwanted, I worry about my family member every day. Every time I visit I come away with a new concern, I worry about other residents I do not know. This care home is not fit to care for your loved ones.

Ferndale Court Care Home

I was concerned when my husband had to transfer from a care home to Ferndale. The hospital consultant emphasised the need for nursing care from February 2025. My concerns were groundless. Both my husband and I have been treated well and with respect. The nursing and care given to the former have been
wonderful. I congratulate management and staff on a job well done with compassion.
