Both my parents are in Beechcroft and they are both settled there we had teething problems at first as and it was very hard for us all as Mum never wanted to go into a home but her needs meant no choice, it was difficult for her till dad moved in, they are on separate parts due to their needs but get
to see eachother most days
The home is being refurbished and is looking great
The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are amazing with both my parents and us when we go to visit
Sam is over entertainment and she does lots of activities which is good and mum is really enjoying taking part in
Florin the manager is very hands on, friendly always approachable, he has made a difference since he came to the home
Family meetings regularly and family bbq in the summer
I am more than happy with the level of care received by my parents
Reply from Florin Hergheligiu, Home Manager at Beechcroft Care HomeGood afternoon ,Gill,
Thank you so much for this heartfelt review. We know how incredibly tough that initial transition was, especially with your mum's wishes, and those early teething problems are a very real, emotional hurdle for any family. We're so glad that having both your parents here now-and ensuring they spend quality time together most days-has helped them settle so well.
The team will be absolutely thrilled by your words. I'll make sure to pass your praise on to everyone, especially Sam. She puts her heart into the activities, and knowing your mum is genuinely enjoying them is the best feedback she could ask for.
Being hands-on and approachable is so important to me, and our family meetings and summer BBQs are all about keeping you connected to their world. Knowing you're happy with their care means everything to us.
Thank you for trusting us with your lovely parents and for being such a wonderful part of our Beechcroft community.

The whole family are so happy to see our Mother getting the care she needs.
She is coming from the total independence of her own flat to full 24hr care. She had her concerns of giving up her independence, but after just 2 weeks at Beechcroft care home, she has blossomed, she is much happier, has more
engery, and enjoys the personal attention from the very attentive staff.
She already feels at home.
We are all very happy with this high level of care and attention.
Reply from Florin Hergheligiu, Home Manager at Beechcroft Care HomeThank you so much for such a lovely review. It truly warms our hearts to hear how well your mother is settling in.
We understand that moving from the independence of a private flat into 24-hour care is a huge life change, and its natural to have concerns about that transition. Seeing her "blossom" and regain her energy in just two weeks is the best news we could ask for. It is a pleasure to have her with us, and Im so glad shes already feeling at home.
I will be sure to share your kind words with the whole teamthey will be so encouraged to know their care and attention are making such a positive difference for your family.

My mother came into Beechcroft just after New Year 2026. The staff are friendly,, professional and very caring. They all treat my mum with dignity and nothing is too much trouble for them, they try to engage mum in activities that are happening and make sure she is dressed and out of bed every day.
Extremely happy her being at Beechcroft.
Reply from Florin Hergheligiu, Home Manager at Beechcroft Care HomeDear Joy,

Thank you so much for your kind words. It has been a real pleasure getting to know your mum since she joined us in January; she has quickly become a wonderful part of the Beechcroft family.

Its lovely to hear that youve noticed the teams efforts to keep her engaged and active. We truly believe that those small, daily detailslike making sure shes dressed exactly how she likes and encouraging her to join in with the morning activitiesmake all the difference in helping someone feel at home.

Knowing that you feel she is being treated with the dignity and care she deserves is the highest compliment we could receive. Well be sure to share your feedback with the whole team; it will mean a lot to the carers who see her every day.

I would like to thank the management team, and especially the staff on the Waterside Unit for their kind and considerate care they give to my wife. She has been there for 2 years now and is very happy and contented as we are we as a family. I would also like to say that the murals and paintings along
the corridors have made a big improvement. Makes it feel more homely.

Dad has been at Florence Mill Care Home for over 2 years. We as a family are very happy with the consistency of care received and any issues with Dad's care are discussed & acted upon. All the individual carers interact wtih Dad and he enjoys the interaction & 'banter' as he calls it. We have been advised
that there is a refurbishment programme across at units in the home which will be of great benefit. Recently, a deep clean of Dad's room was undertaken & the floor area is now looking new!
Reply from Katrine Simm, Home manager at Florence Mill Care HomeThank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback about Florence Mill and the care your dad receives. He truly is one of a kind, and our team always enjoys the banter and laughs we share with him.
As mentioned, we have a full refurbishment programme planned across all five houses at Florence Mill, and we look forward to sharing the progress and improvements on our social media platforms.
We are extremely proud of the high standard of care we provide to all our residents and of the strong relationships we build with their families and friends, who we consider an important part of the Florence Mill family.

My mother in law was taken from the hospital stroke ward on the 17th Dec 2025 to Ferndale. We had never had to use a nursing home for anyone, so it was a shock, but the care and understanding of everyone, from the maintenance man to the top person, put us all at ease. We could see the true care and
nursing my mum in law got. First class Mum was non-communicative, no strength to stand, and no snowlling it was very hard for everyone. The staff gave her care, kindness and dignity, and looked after the family. Thank you all. Sadly, Mum was only there six days when she passed peacefully with family at her bedside.
Reply from Ristner Yarcia, Manager at Ferndale Court Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for your very kind words. We are deeply sorry for your loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. We understand how difficult and overwhelming it can be to place a loved one into a nursing home for the first time, especially under such challenging circumstances. It means a great deal to us to know that our team was able to provide comfort, reassurance, and a sense of ease during such a painful time. On behalf of everyone at Ferndale, thank you for trusting us with her care. Your words will be shared with the entire team, and they will mean more than you know

care and dignity they gave Mum during her last days.
Thanks to the manager Rishner and Mame, Jackie, Ben, Winnie & Caroline and all of the staff.

Amazing care home. Such lovely people who work there. They care so much about the residents. They always make the effort and make sure all residents feel at home. My grandad was giving the best possible care whilst he was in there. So glad he was cared for by wonderful careers and nursing staff. They
are one in a million. Moss house is such a lovely unit. Anyone would be lucky to have their love ones cared for by then. Appreciate them all so much. They don't get the praise they deserve.

The care home ensure my parent is in the lounge for most of the day and not in her bedroom which is good for companionship etc.
Staff inform me of any falls occurring in a timely manner & detail treatment/or if an ambulance has been called.
They have regular update meetings advising of events, or
what they have going on in the home & it is an opportunity to chat about any issues which may arise. There is also a suggestion box.
