My Mam has had good care for the past 4 years. She really enjoys the company of the staff. I had no concerns when I went on holiday because I knew she would be looked after. I know she is eating well as she has put on weight.

From the moment I first made contact with the home the manager and deputy manager filled me with hope that my mother would be looked after in the same way as I had cared for her at home for the previous five years.
Mam seemed to settle well at Pelton Grange and was soon in a good routine which meant she quickly adapted to her new 'home'.
Her medical needs (if any) were looked after immediately as well as her social requirements. My husband and I felt comfortable that she was in 'safe' hands.

She has now been in Pelton Grange for almost 10 months and as a 97-year old, I can now envisage my mum getting a telegram from the Queen once she reaches 100. The staff are amazing - they always encourage Mam to take part in events they frequently hold and Mam seems happy. She loves singing the old songs and the Deputy Manager is the first one to start a good old sing song! I take great comfort in knowing she is here which is something I didn't think I could say.

Pelton Grange is a well-run care home with a welcoming aspect and carers who genuinely care about the residents. I always find the staff more than happy to answer any questions. They are also very helpful towards myself and my Mother-in-law. She is very happy and settled in Pelton Grange and I have no concerns for her well-being.

My mother has been resident at Pelton Grange for 14 months, she and our family find this home excellent. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for the residents. They have lots of activities, bingo, raffle, entertainment, BBQ's etc, frequent open days which are well patronised by families and local people.

Couldn't be happier with the care my mother is getting. The staff are lovely and genuinely seem to care, they have always made time to reassure me and answer any questions that I've had about my mothers condition.

My mother was only in this care home for three weeks and I felt from the moment she was there till the end she was cared for with respect and dignity. The staff were all wonderful and caring not only with mum but with myself. They were kind courteous and helpful. They had everything planned for her care and knew exactly what they were doing.

Mum was coming to the end of her life and it was difficult decision to make. She was very happy there. I would willing recommend anyone to this home. It has a small homely caring atmosphere. It might look at little dated but I wasn't looking for a brand new care home. I was looking for the best place for mum and this was the place. I cannot thank the staff enough including the manager who was always willing to talk to me.
