Bridge View Care Home is situated in Choppington village in Northumberland, close to the Northumbrian coastline and a short drive away from the Northumberland National Park.

It is located in the heart of the local community and is served well by bus services.

At Bridge View care home, there is caring staff, a homely and friendly atmosphere and high standards of cleanliness and care.

All these things, important as they are, are the very least you’d expect from them. But there’s so much more to Bridge View.

The central focus of everything done, day in and day out, is the general wellbeing of residents. To ensure that they remain physically and mentally active and that they are fulfilled, happy and feel cared for and loved.

Staff are always looking for innovative ways of doing things and have initiated a few ambitious and exciting projects.

Staff started a Listening Post café for all residents to meet on a daily basis, to talk and listen, laugh or cry.

Residents have started arranging to meet there and families also attend.

Staff initiated ‘My Day’. This involves two residents each day who are made to feel special by every member of staff on duty that day. Staff visit the residents to chat with them or to help them with whatever they wish to do.

Lovely clean home. The staff are very friendly and have been very professional during Covid and display empathy to the family. Lots of activities available to engage in. The staff are happy to assist with any concerns.

With everything going on, you are still welcomed warmly and friendly, also professional. Seen my husband today for the first time properly since March. I was tested before I entered, once test done, I was shown up to his room. The smile on his face was so precious and satisfying for us both. He is cared

I would recommend this home to anyone who asked my opinion. Sometimes I wish the contact side was better i.e letters keeping us informed as to what's happening but these have been difficult times. The staff are exceptional especially the activities co-ordinators whom I have the most contact with. I
feel relaxed knowing my mam is being cared for here.

The staff at Bridge View are amazing. It was a very difficult decision to place both of my parents into care. I am reassured that the staff seem to go above and beyond to care for them. I have been very appreciative of their support to allow contact during Covid inline with guidance.

My Mam went into the home on 12th October and spent four weeks in a place I had never seen the inside of, being cared for by staff I have never seen without a mask and am not even sure which ones were actually looking after her. Home very reluctant to give correct information. No paperwork of any description.
Management was abusive to me. Following two weeks in hospital, she is now deranged.

All the girls are so helpful to us and my friend. There is always a smile from them. If my friend does not like the dinner the cook always makes her an omelette, nothing is a bother to them.

Day to day, everything seems to run smoothly and efficiently. There have been odd times when they have forgotten to give mum her tea and if it hadn't been for us being there, we wonder if she would have had any tea at all.
Mum seems very happy most of the time and as long as she's happy we are too.
They
do need to make sure mum has a shower more often as she washes herself and we don't know how thorough she is.

Mum spent her last 7 weeks here. They were very happy weeks for her and us.
Staff are caring and compassionate and kind and treat residents with dignity at all times.
Individual care plans are in situ with relatives' input.
It is immaculately clean and the food is excellent.
Their residents and
families are their priority.
As a family, we were offered utmost support at this sad and difficult time.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others whose loved ones can no longer live independently.
Well-run establishment.
