A shame no activities and very little interaction for residents. Walking up and down the same corridor cannot be great for anyone’s mental health. Staff are very friendly to be fair. The accommodation is quite modern and comfortable to be fair.

You can be sure of a great welcome at Bradshaw Manor. The nursing home, in my opinion (I have visited every week for six months), is an extremely well-run care home. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and all the staff that I have had dealings with, have been enthusiastic, supportive, understanding and helpful. Staff morale is great and I can always sense that the management and team on the ground, work hand in hand to create a great team spirit, which rubs off. I am a super fussy person and yet can't find any faults with the way my father has been treated. Overall, a clean, safe, efficient, sympathetic and caring place for residents who need support, security and kindness.

I have been coming here for several months and have no concerns on how my mother is looked after. The meals provided are well made and my mother likes most of them. As for the care, I have no problems, as my mother likes the carers.

The food made by the manager was beautiful the eggs were lovely and the bread and butter pudding. The people loved it. Hopefully, the chef will cook it again, please. The bacon was nice too and the cheese and cucumber sandwich was good.

My mother was transferred to Bradshaw Manor Care Home from hospital on the 24th February 2022. Sadly my mother passed away exactly two weeks later on Thursday 10th March. As a family, our only regret, is that Mum wasn't in Bradshaw Manor, months or even years earlier. Every member of your staff, was absolutely amazing. They were all professional, friendly, caring and lovely. Well done Bradshaw Manor.

My mother moved to Bradshaw Manor at the end of 2020. It was a difficult time for us all but the staff went out of their way to help her settle in. She is provided with a high level of care to meet her individual needs. We are kept updated regarding any changes to her health or care plan. We are always greeted with a smile and feel everyone has gone above and beyond to look after all of the residents in these difficult times. The warmth from all of the staff comes across and we feel they genuinely care about our loved ones and treat them with compassion and dignity. There is a wide variety of activities for the residents to join in and we receive regular newsletters and photos to keep us up to date with life in the home. Thank you to the whole team.

There are not enough words to express how grateful I am to have found Barchester Bradshaw Manor Care Home to take care of my lovely Dad. From the moment he arrived, the staff have treated him with dignity and understanding and to see him so content means the world. All the staff genuinely care about their residents and will do anything they can to ensure the resident's needs are met and that they are happy. In all honesty, every member of staff I have encountered has been kind, compassionate and simply lovely!

As a family we viewed several homes in the Rhyl area and by far Bradshaw Manor stood out from the rest. All the staff were extremely friendly and what was available activity wise was second to none. We were very nervous to move my nan into care because she was always adamant she never wanted to go in but since being at Bradshaw Manor she has improved socially which we felt she was really lacking and as a family we feel we have made the best decision.

My auntie has been at Bradshaw Manor for 18-months. I turned up unexpectedly and was welcomed to look around straight away. All the staff I chatted to were friendly and knowledgeable. My aunt settled very quickly which I wasn't expecting as she doesn't take kindly to changed and likes her independence. The staff treat her with dignity and respect, and my aunt is so settled. I get regular updates via post and phone calls ( I live a three-hour drive away) and feel extremely lucky to have found such a caring bunch of people to look after my aunt. No matter who I speak to or what time I call, everyone is always so helpful and attentive. During Covid, I have been constantly updated with new measure and procedure that have been put in place, and after visit this weekend after a few months of only having phone calls with my aunt (she can't cope with Zoom), I was over the moon how well she looked and how happy she was. I would highly recommend Bradshaw Manor to anyone.

I am delighted and extremely grateful for the professional care my mother is receiving at Bradshaw Manor. From all the hardworking, caring and dedicated staff working there. It has been so very hard during the Coivd times but I have taken comfort from knowing that my mother is in very safe hands and receiving the very best care possible, from a very special, very caring team of true professionals. Thank you to you all. Keep up the great work.

My wife and I visited my mum and this was the first time we have visited her since her arrival in December 2020. The visit had to be done with a glass partition. The staff treated us very courteously and my mum seemed to be being well looked after. Despite not being able to hold mums hand or give her a hug it was still lovely to see her and the staff did their best to ensure it was a lovely experience.

Dad is a different person since he has been at Bradshaw Manor (3 months). We regularly see smiling photos of him on Facebook, engaged in an amazing range of activities. Living over 300 miles away, it is so important that we are confident in the support and care Dad receives and that there is good communication between the home and family. Whatever team I need to speak to, from Admin to Care teams, I am always greeted with a friendly and welcoming voice and an instant connection between myself and Dad. Dad is fully engaged in life at Bradshaw Manor at the level he wants, with understanding and encouragement to participate, when he is ready. The carers on Memory Lane have built up a lovely relationship with him and it has been wonderful to see Dad responding to this gentle and supportive approach. Thank you to everyone who works at Bradshaw Manor for making it a place Dad is happy to be in.

Mum is so happy since coming to live in Memory Lane. She enjoys the wide range of activities on offer and has made lots of new friends. I've been very impressed with the care staff I have met and spoken to on the 'phone. I had the chance to visit Mum once in the garden which was safe and well organised. I've received lots of photos while unable to visit. Sadly Dad passed away recently and the support Mum receives from the care staff is amazing. I appreciate the card and flowers I received from Bradshaw Manor. A very big thank you to you all.

Sadly my dad passed away but his care at Bradshaw Manor was excellent. The staff were always very professional, caring and approachable. There was good evidence of person-centered planning and lots of lovely photos of dad's participation in activities. I appreciated being sent a picture dad had painted at Easter. Communication with the staff and manager was proactive. I think monthly reviews are excellent and helpful.

I have worked at Bradshaw Manor care home for the last 3 and a half years. I moved to Rhyl 4 years ago with my partner and son. I have worked in care for over 30 years.

I knew when I was at school that care was the profession for me. I've always looked after my nan and parents. I wanted to make a difference.

When I started to work at Bradshaw Manor, I worked as a carer. I then transferred to the activities team, which I really enjoy. I am passionate about my career in care, and I really enjoy the activities, seeing a smile on the residents' faces, enjoying a chat and taking them out on trips. I’ve always enjoyed dementia care; this area has always been very close to my heart. Listening to individuals' stories and seeing their strengths and achievements.

The highlight of my career was winning a gold in the Lovett Care Awards in 2024 for promoting fulfilled lives. This was not just for me but for the whole team at Bradshaw Manor. ‘Care is a passion, not a job’

‘Remember, we work in residents' homes, not that they live in our workplace’

I spend my time at home with my partner, David. We have an allotment and enjoy growing our own vegetables. I had two children and four grandchildren. So I enjoy spending time with them. I support Aston Villa.
