My mum moved there from a residential home when she needed nursing care. We thought the previous home was good but Bradshaw Manor was outstanding. The love and care shown to her by all her carers was amazing. She was always clean, her hair done, and always dressed in her day clothes, wearing her own
clothes (not somebody else's). The staff always ensured she was stimulated and involved in the activities. The lovely staff were also very supportive of myself and my sister too - guiding and advising us. We cannot speak highly enough of the home and the staff and we always be grateful to them for the kindness and compassion they showed Mum.

Go above and beyond to help my aunt.
Thank you so much, she’s clean and tidy. Her room is lovely. I can’t thank you enough. The carers are so nice, and friendly and always stop for a chat.
Every time I go there I’m greeted with a smile at the door. I’m always asked if I’d like a cup of tea. I would
definitely recommend Bradshaw Manor.

My aunt has been in Bradshaw Manor for just over a year. She has settled in so well and the staff are lovely. They have been very caring and compassionate with her. She is immobile and suffers from cognitive impairment. She could not be in a better care home. I live 500 miles away from Rhyl and am
her only relative, so it is very important to know she is safe and looked after. Bradshaw Manor is by far the best choice for her.
Reply from Elaine Coulton, General Manager at Bradshaw Manor Care HomeThank you for your lovely review, we are delighted to hear how happy you are with everything and it is a privilege to be able to care for your aunt.

The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The home is nicely decorated and welcoming. Mum's care is excellent, her room is clean and homely. The home keeps me informed of any changes/ and or updates on Mum's wellbeing.

I was very concerned when my father had to move into a home. My fears and worries melted away on seeing the staff interaction not just with my dad, but all patients. My dad lives for his hot cup of tea and their constant supply of tea makes this home a home from home.
The little things can and do,
make such a big difference.

I cannot speak highly enough of the great staff at Bradshaw Manor Care Home, nothing is too much trouble.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Bradshaw Manor to anyone.

My wife has been a resident at Bradshaw Manor Care Home for seven years, latterly taken over by Lovett Care. I visit her regularly and on every occasion, she has been clean and well cared for. The home is clean, well-kept and the staff are always ready to give any information re. my wife and her condition,
her being unable to speak or have any great movement. On the whole, she is being well cared for and I am grateful for Bradshaw Manor and the staff for taking care of her.

My mother was only with you for four weeks before she passed away but at this very important time of her life, I found the care in Bradshaw Manor Care Home to be of a very high standard. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any staff member and I could not have wished for better end-of-life care. I
would have no hesitation in recommending Bradshaw Manor to anyone.

Bradshaw Manor Care Home looked after Mum for just under a year until she sadly passed away. We looked at a lot (and I mean a lot) of care homes across England and Wales before choosing Bradshaw Manor for Mum so I can say with confidence it is one of the very best. There are always plenty of staff around,
who pop their head frequently into every resident's room and check on everybody carefully. Every member of staff we met with no exceptions has been kind, pleasant and interested in Mum's welfare they are amazing and a credit to their profession. You can trust Bradshaw Manor to take excellent care of your loved one and if you are lucky enough to be offered a room there, I would grab it.

I find the staff absolutely wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. They are always willing to do things if they are asked. My husband is very happy at the home and nothing is left until later on which does happen. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday and everything was well arranged, chairs table
etc and staff once again made it possible. I can't say any more about the home as everything is spot on. Everything I say is true.

A shame no activities and very little interaction for residents. Walking up and down the same corridor cannot be great for anyone’s mental health. Staff are very friendly to be fair. The accommodation is quite modern and comfortable to be fair.

You can be sure of a great welcome at Bradshaw Manor. The nursing home, in my opinion (I have visited every week for six months), is an extremely well-run care home. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and all the staff that I have had dealings with, have been enthusiastic, supportive, understanding
and helpful. Staff morale is great and I can always sense that the management and team on the ground, work hand in hand to create a great team spirit, which rubs off. I am a super fussy person and yet can't find any faults with the way my father has been treated. Overall, a clean, safe, efficient, sympathetic and caring place for residents who need support, security and kindness.

My mother was transferred to Bradshaw Manor Care Home from hospital on the 24th February 2022. Sadly my mother passed away exactly two weeks later on Thursday 10th March. As a family, our only regret, is that Mum wasn't in Bradshaw Manor, months or even years earlier. Every member of your staff, was
absolutely amazing. They were all professional, friendly, caring and lovely. Well done Bradshaw Manor.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.692)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.692) out of 10 for Bradshaw Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.817 for Bradshaw Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (160 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 191 Ratings = 4.817
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bradshaw Manor Care Home is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 registered maximum number of service users is 13, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have worked at Bradshaw Manor care home for the last 3 and a half years. I moved to Rhyl 4 years ago with my partner and son. I have worked in care for over 30 years.

I knew when I was at school that care was the profession for me. I've always looked after my nan and parents. I wanted to make a difference.

When I started to work at Bradshaw Manor, I worked as a carer. I then transferred to the activities team, which I really enjoy. I am passionate about my career in care, and I really enjoy the activities, seeing a smile on the residents' faces, enjoying a chat and taking them out on trips. I’ve always enjoyed dementia care; this area has always been very close to my heart. Listening to individuals' stories and seeing their strengths and achievements.

The highlight of my career was winning a gold in the Lovett Care Awards in 2024 for promoting fulfilled lives. This was not just for me but for the whole team at Bradshaw Manor. ‘Care is a passion, not a job’

‘Remember, we work in residents' homes, not that they live in our workplace’

I spend my time at home with my partner, David. We have an allotment and enjoy growing our own vegetables. I had two children and four grandchildren. So I enjoy spending time with them. I support Aston Villa.
