Had an excellent experience with a carer who went above and beyond in a difficult situation with my mum. The carer was calm, practical and showed compassion. She demonstrated clearly that she has built up a friendship and trust with Mum. This was much appreciated. Also a mention to the home for all the recent improvements. Rhiwlas is much tidier, better presented and the improvements to the residents' activities and entertainment are massive. Mum really seems to enjoy now.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such thoughtful and positive feedback. We are delighted to hear you and your mum had such a positive experience and that the care and compassion shown during a difficult situation made such a difference. It is wonderful to know that the trust and relationships...
To know that my wife is being cared for with such kindness and dignity is a great comfort to me. My sincere thanks to all concerned.
Thank you Donald for your kind message. It is our absolute honour to care for your wife, and we are supremely grateful for your kind review of our home.
We have noticed a vast improvement in the management of the care provided over the last two months. The environment has been improved dramatically and the wellbeing programme offered is varied and comprehensive. Staff appear to have a clearer vision of what is expected of them and the atmosphere is calm and happy. Carers are respectful and treat our mother with care and dignity which is vitally important to us as a family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this thoughtful feedback. Were delighted to hear that youve noticed such a positive improvement in the care and support provided over the past two months. Creating a calm, welcoming environment and offering a meaningful wellbeing programme are priorities for us, so its wonderful to know these changes have made a real difference.
My father was a resident for just over 3 years. During which time he received caring, dignified support from all staff until his passing in mid-March. The care he received during his final weeks was excellent and he was cared for with such love and attention, and we as a family were well looked after too. The change in management and appointment of a wellbeing co-ordinator saw a noticeable improvement in the refurbishment of the care home and activities for residents. The care home staff were just amazing, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, team.
Thank you so much for sharing these kind words about your father's time with us. We're honoured to have supported him for over three years, and we're truly grateful for your trust during his final weeks. Knowing that he felt cared for with dignity is deeply meaningful to us, so we will pass on your...
We found the home to be really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful and all knew our aunt's name. Lots of activities go on throughout the day and lots of other rooms if you don't want to join in. Our aunt seems happy and says the staff are wonderful. We were extremely happy with our visit.
We're delighted to hear that you found the home welcoming and that our team made a positive impression during your visit, Janice. Thank you for placing your trust in us, and knowing that the staff have helped your aunt feel comfortable and settled is truly wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to send us this review.
My father has been in Rhiwlas 5 years with dementia. The care, attention, one-to-one and friendships made helped Dad right till the end. Dad passed yesterday. I was supported by Reshma, Sakski, Nikki, Denise, Trudy, Rahouol, to name just a few of a lovely team that have made me and my family so supported and helped in a very difficult process. Thank you.
We are deeply sorry for your loss and would like to extend our sincere condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. It has been a privilege to care for your father over the past five years, and we are truly touched to hear that...
Amazing
Thank you for your review, we are so grateful for your kind words, we are delighted to hear that you and your family have such a positive experience with us at Rhiwlas .
My uncle is very comfortable and happy in his room. It is a bright, airy room on the ground floor. The resident handyman has fixed a tv on the wall and put picture hooks up. He can go to the lounge whenever he wants. There are plenty of activities if he wants to join in. He's been out on a few trips and really enjoyed himself. He can have a haircut and foot care on request. Food is good and plentiful. Thank you to Aimee, interim Manager for all her support.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review. We are utterly delighted that your uncle is comfortable and happy with the care provided, and it is our pleasure to support both him and his wider family. Your feedback means a lot to us!
Very friendly staff. My aunt seemed very happy at Rhiwlas.
Thank you so much for your kind review, we are delighted that your aunt is happy with her care at Rhiwlas and that our team s supporting your family. We really appreciate your feedback.
I have found all the staff to be totally dedicated to the residents, and I am continually impressed by the care and love that everyone shows. My mum is very comfortable, safe, happy and enjoying excellent food, she tells me. I don't think I could've found a better place for her, and I hope she can continue to enjoy her time at the 'hotel' as she calls it. I don't think she's far wrong either.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. It is lovely to hear how happy you are with everything we offer, and we are delighted that Mum has settled well into her new home
Every member of staff is extremely helpful and I would highly recommend this care home in every respect. The care my Mother has received is second to none. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. In fact I am 65 myself and I wouldn't have any hesitation in going here myself should the need arise
Thank you for taking time to review our home, it's lovely to hear how happy you were with the care your mum received from the team, they will be so pleased to read your comments. If we can ever help in the future, our door is always open! Thanks again and take care.
My uncle lived at Rhiwlas Care Home. The staff were amazing. They would always have a laugh and a joke with him. He was a cheeky chap and he loved a good joke. His laugh was contagious. The room was cleaned every day and the food looked and smelt lovely. They went round with a menu and he could choose what he wanted for the day. If they didn't have what he liked they would always try and get it for him. The staff worked really hard but always found time to make sure he was OK and ask if he wanted anything. He moved to go to a nursing home or he would have still been there. As a family, we highly recommend Rhiwlas.
Thank you very much for your kind words. Your uncle was a pleasure to have stay at Rhiwlas and we wish him and your family all the best. Thanks again for your fantastic review.
The rooms in the home are small, but are kept clean and tidy. My mum isn't a big eater, but the food is fine for her. The best thing about the home for me is the people who run it and look after my mum, I feel that they always make me feel very welcome. The girls and men who do all the hard work always seem very approachable and pleasant.
The lady is great with everyone helping to engage all with the daily activities.
Thank you for your lovely words, we are thrilled you are happy with our home and will pass on your feedback to the team.
Mum has been living at Rhiwlas for approximately two years and has settled in well. The caring staff and the entertainment organiser are lovely and know Mum well. Mum’s room is small but kept very clean and she has everything she needs. Food is very good and the dining room is homely and friendly.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. It is lovely to hear how happy you are with everything we offer and we are delighted that Mum has settled well into her new home.
My auntie has been a resident at Rhiwlas for over twelve years now and she has always been well looked after. The carers are brilliant with her as well. My only gripe is not being able to get in and out on a weekend. I appreciate the staff are busy, but on a couple of occasions I've had to leave because no-one has opened the door for me.
Thank you for leaving such a review of our home. We do apologise that you have had issues with access during the weekend, we now have full reception cover over the weekends and there should be no issue with access to visit.
Friendly staff. Clean home. It appears that since the home has been taken over by this company, seems a lot better. Our relative seems a lot brighter. More activities. Due to living over 200 miles away, we are unable to visit often, but when we do we are impressed.
Thank you for your kind words about our home. We are delighted to hear how happy you are with what our home has to offer and that your relative is happy living here.
My mum is well cared for, but she is waiting to be moved to an EMI nursing home but I would prefer her to stay at Rhiwlas. All staff are excellent and all refer to my mum by her first name. The food is also excellent- which I've witnessed first hand and if my mum was still hungry they would bring more food for her - she never goes hungry.
We appreciate you taking the time to review our home and are delighted to hear how happy you are with everything.
I came into Rhiwlas Care Home for 6 weeks on 28th July while my wife recovered from a minor hernia operation. Having never been in care before, I was very apprehensive. I needn't have worried. The atmosphere is superb and the friendly staff could not be faulted. If I ever need respite care, this is definitely the place I'd come back to.
We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your kind words about our home. We look forward to seeing you again if needed.
My only concern is the lack of fresh fruit available.
I would also like entry and exit access for regular visitors made easier to save calling on already busy staff to open the doors for me; I do understand the security difficulties the home has.
Otherwise, I think the care home has provided a new lease of life for my mum - thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home; I am thrilled to read how happy you are. Do pop in and chat with me regarding the areas raised, as I am more than happy to discuss and sort with you.
