My mother has been resident for over four years and at all times we have found the staff friendly, good humoured and caring. This means our mother is treated with dignity and consideration as her dementia has worsened, in particular the food served is always appropriate for each resident and of high quality. We recently had a 96th birthday party at Blaenos and the food served was excellent and the way the staff provided for us was outstanding. Thank you.

My mother recently celebrated her 96th birthday and we wanted to have a family meal with her. The staff could not have been more accommodating - Eifionydd and Dawn in particular. We had a lovely afternoon with my mother, the food was delicious, the room was beautifully decorated and my mother and ourselves were treated like royalty.

Every time I visit my mother, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's reassuring for me to see that they always treat my mother with the utmost respect and dignity. The food is always delicious with every resident's individual needs catered for, and the activities are well thought out, interesting and appropriate.

Many, many thanks for making my mother's 90th so special. What a super spread you laid on for us. You even took my mother on a little trip to see an Elvis Presley impersonator. We couldn't ask for more. Many thanks.

We found the staff to be excellent overall and very attentive to the residents and guests. We visited my mother for a short time last week and were very well looked after at all times and were able to see how well the staff look after our mother and care for the residents generally. The activities also were very good including the quiz and levels of enthusiasm from the staff who make all efforts to engage with the residents and guests also. We were very happy overall to see how well our mother is being looked after in such a caring place and beautiful location. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome during our visit and for looking after our mother so well.

Would like to see more options for outside use. Small patio outside the day room would be a welcome addition. It wouldn't take much for it to be made safe and a bit bigger so that residents could enjoy fresh air and sunshine on good weather days.

Your positive attitude & willingness to help all the residents when we had a fall of snow the team of carers brought some in on a plat for the residents to see & touch & bring many memories back & stimulate conversation. How thoughtful.

Our mum moved in September to Blaenos House Nursing Home. The red tape caused problems but the manager and central admin staff were patient and helpful. On the move day, Mum was welcomed at the front door. She has settled well, loves the cakes, has a lovely, bright room which, like the rest of the home, is spotless. We have seen different staff interact with Mum, all have been kind, patient and gentle with her. We are welcomed cheerfully when visiting and all staff have been very helpful with any questions we've had.

My husband was a resident at Blaenos House for just 2.5 months before he passed away on 12/08/24.
The care he received there was just great! The staff really got to know my husband well - soon becoming aware that he loved quizzes and had great general knowledge.
He was always clean and seemed happy whenever l visited.
They were very empathetic when he sadly passed away.

Thanks very much to each and every one of your staff for generally keeping his last couple of months as happy as they could be. Well done!

I wanted to leave a review for Blaenos House Llandovery, we searched everywhere in 2022 for my Mother-in-Law who has Dementia and is now 100 years old, after being let down by a previous home after being knocked down by another resident in another home and had several broken bones through poor management and neglect at a previous Home. We found The Blaenos House Llandovery (Ashbury Homes) all the staff at Blaenos have brought her back from near death in 2022 to now 2024 she had her 100th Birthday Celebrations and absolutely fabulous party and weight bearing after everything she went through it is so amazing and brings a tear to our eyes every time we see her she is happy, content, and is so well looked after. We cannot say enough about the staff at Blaenos they are truly wonderful, Thank you to all, especially 3 members of staff in particular who are completely amazing, for the care I cannot fault them in any way, I only wish there were more homes like Blaenos Llandovery. Thank you to all!

My father has advanced dementia and could no longer be cared for in his own home. My mum and I were obviously apprehensive about Dad starting a new life in his new home, but we needn’t have worried. From the day Dad arrived he has been treated with so much care and kindness. Everyone has been very supportive to us as well. The manager was there to greet us on that first day and was so warm and welcoming. She was able to answer any questions we had and put our minds at rest. The carers are wonderful and very hard-working and always greet you with a warm smile and friendly chat. Dad is always washed, dressed immaculately and cleanly shaven! There is regular entertainment and interesting activities for the residents. The food looks lovely and home-cooked too.

The home itself is set in beautiful grounds, it has two large lounges and a lovely conservatory where we can sit.

I am so grateful to everyone working at Blaenos House Nursing Home for giving my dad such wonderful care, thank you!
