My mother has been at Cartref Annywyl-Fan Care home for 9 months. It is evident that the care she has been given during that time has helped her well being. There is an awareness of the need for stimulation by the organised activities and visits outside Cartref Annwyl-Fan. I feel able to call in person or on the telephone anytime and the staff are always welcoming and ready to give me an update if I so wish.
Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home and its staff have been such a comfort to me having a father living 250 miles away and suffering from PSP. I know that each day he is looked after by staff I have found nothing but helpful and very pleasant. When I arrive to visit, often doing a 500-mile round trip, the staff even look after me! My dad moves nearer us this week but as a family, I cannot thank Cartref Annwyl-Fan enough. It will feel sad to say goodbye.
I am so pleased to have found a home for my husband which is almost tailor-made for him. After having been in the hospital for 4 months he has improved enormously. He is allowed to live his life the way he wants to, it's almost home from home. Thanks, Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home for all the carers and management for your kindness and care.
My grandmother had been a resident of Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home for almost a year when she passed away. The care and support my nan had during her time in the residential home was excellent and the staff went above and beyond my expectations. If any issues did come up they were dealt with and resolved quickly.
I would recommend this home to anyone and I can honestly say not only did they care for my nan but they also offered me support and advice along the way.
Thank you x
The staff at the care home are very good with my aunt. When my aunt got ill, the home did not let me know. I visit every Sunday but can get a taxi if I need to get there at any time to see her as I have to walk with a walker.
Thank you for your feedback. I will arrange to speak with you about the issues you have mentioned.
My mother spent 4 years at Mountain View in Cartref Annwyl-Fan and during her stay the staff, including carers, cooks and cleaners showed my mother the utmost respect, compassion, patience, humour and professionalism during her stay until she unfortunately passed away. As a family, we were always made to feel welcome and were always involved and informed of any decisions made regarding her health and well-being, especially towards the end.
The staff at Mountain View (Dementia Care) truly are a credit to the caring profession.
All staff and management are welcoming and approachable. During a recent residents meeting, residents and family members were encouraged to discuss any issues that arose.
The home displays a 5-star rating and the excellent food provided is a testament to this.
We always find her clean and tidy, well fed and fruit juice always available to her.
I have found, since living here that all the staff have been very caring and helpful. My husband and I have been very happy here until he passed away, but the staff have been wonderful to me since then.
Thank you for your comments. We are glad you are happy living at Cartref Annwyl-Fan.
Staff are very good with clients. Good quality food.
Entertainment is very good. Furniture is modern and has that homely look. Good standards.
Young staff, some very willing with the elderly.
Very good standards for a care home.
My mother-in-law has been very well looked after and is very happy with her room and the staff are so nice and she loves the food!
My mother has recently been admitted to Annwyl Fan. I cannot praise the staff over my mother's admission, and settling in, enough. They have made a difficult time for us a pleasure. The standard of care from a well-trained staff is outstanding. The home itself is well run with a very capable staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean. As a family we are delighted.
This care home put the residents’ welfare at the forefront of everything they do, spending time with them arranging trips and enrichment activities.
We visited unannounced at various times of the day and always found my aunt clean and well dressed, with her hair neatly arranged and even, on occasion, fresh sparkly nail varnish.
When my aunt sadly became unwell the carers kept us informed of her unfortunately deteriorating condition. On the evening she passed away her primary carer telephoned to advise us and offer commiserations and more. She was very obviously upset at my aunts passing and even stayed with her throughout the night when it occurred.
I would definitely recommend this care home. My gran has lived there for nearly 2 years now and she loves her life there. She gets well looked after if she's not feeling well ever, has good healthy meals, and she enjoys all the fun things that they do for entertainment there.
Ver clean and tidy home. My mother had excellent care for the seven years she was there. couldn't have wished for better. The staff are very kind and helpful at all times. Highly recommend the home to everyone.
The care of Mum was excellent in her last few weeks. She had a good 7 years of care from all the staff. Good to know them very well. Mum always gave birthday cards to everyone. She was loved by all.
My mother-in-law has been a resident of Cartref Annwyl Fan for nearly two years now. Before she moved in, she had a loving home life with my father-in-law who was her carer, but other than family she would only see some friends once a week at an OAP club. Once my father-in-law passed away and her health assessments deemed her not to be safe living alone, she moved in to Annwyl Fan and very quickly made lots of new friends as well as meeting up with friends of old. She now engages in most of the entertainment which is put on once or twice a week and has a lot of fun with her 'neighbours' and the staff. The carers there are kind and sensitive to all her needs and she constantly praises them. As a family, we now have peace of mind knowing that she is in a safe, caring environment amongst friends. Thank you to the manager and to the great team of staff for all that they do.
Since my cousin has been in Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home she's put on weight has new glasses, her hair done weekly and everyday looks so clean. They also have a lot of entertainment.
Since my husband was admitted to Annwyl-Fan Care Home his care has been of the highest quality. The care, compassion and regard shown, not only to him but also to myself, could not be better. The staff, from the most senior management to the junior carers are to be applauded on the dignified way to treat each individual resident irrespective of their needs or problems, and the interaction between staff and residents is a pleasure to see. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy, comparable to may single hotel rooms and the food is first rate.
The care and support that my wife has received over the past 18 months has been exceptional. The staff are always very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. My wife receives excellent care and attention at all times and I would strongly recommend the care home.
