My grandmother has a very good service at care. The staff at this care home are friendly and provide a good care to patients.
This care home is a good care home, I personally reviewed a few before choosing Mill View for my mother. This care home is clean and well kept. They provide a good service to the patients, where possible to be helped. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. This care home could do with increased activities for the patients that are able. This meaning they can go out for the day or just on a trip.
Many thanks for completing this review, we are pleased that you are happy with the Home and the care Mam receives. With regards to activities myself, the staff and residents agreed that once the weather improved we would begin planning outings. The residents came up with some great suggestions in...
I feel that this care home is a great place for my grandmother. I feel like all staff are friendly and caring towards their patients.
Everyone was caring loving and kind and always had time and made my auntie's last couple of months very special, she would sing and laugh all day we were very pleased with the care they all give to her. Thank You.
A special lady who will be missed. Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, your thoughts will be shared with the team.
After a six month stay at hospital, my Husband was discharged to Mill View Nursing Home early January 2016. My Husband has settled well due to the care and attention given to him by staff. He enjoys the food and has put on weight after losing 3 stone in hospital. As a family, we have found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly, always eager to answer any questions we may have and understanding that this has been a difficult emotional time for us. While visiting, we have observed how staff treat all residents with respect and create a homely atmosphere for all.
It has been great getting to know you all as a family and your husband has settled exceptionally well. Your feedback is very important to us and will be shared amongst the team. Thank you for taking the time to complete the review.
My gran came here as a respite client originally but due to personal reasons had to become a full time resident. At first gran was very upset and unsettled but the staff were wonderful to her and to us as her family as it was very upsetting for us. She soon became settled and very happy, enjoying the company, the activities and entertainment. She was very well looked after, personal needs- clean, hair done weekly, clean clothes. The staff were always calm, patient and fully involved with gran. Even up to her last days everything was the same. As a family visit we were welcome any time day or night, always informed of grans wellbeing and medical needs. I would recommend this home to anyone.
Your kind words mean a great deal. Working with Gran and yourselves as a family was a pleasure. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the care we provide at Mill View.
My grandmother came into the home in very sad circumstances (my mother-her daughter) was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for my grandmother. So my grandmother was a permanent resident. We have always felt very welcomed at all times when visiting my grandmother she was always well dressed and colour co-ordinated which is very important to my grandmother. We feel that my gran has always been well cared for and she still is even though now my gran is very ill. The staff have always been very informative to us regarding all my grandmothers health issues and general concerns. We feel this is a lovely home, welcoming and vary caring. Our family has always been very pleased with everything here.
Thank you so much for your response. Your comments will be shared with the team, your Gran will be missed by us all. It makes us happy to know that the care provided was a source of comfort for you all as a family.
My father has been a resident at Mill View Home since February 2015. All the staff are very friendly and they take time to chat and help as much as they can. There is a lovely warm welcome when I visit. The nurses have been excellent when my father had a bad leg they explained everything. Most of all they supported me through a very upsetting and stressful time. I would recommend the home it is a lovely place for my father to live he is well cared for and I enjoy visiting him. Happy place.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to complete this review. Your comments are really appreciated and will be shared with the team. You and Dad are very much part of the Mill View family.
Mill View is such a friendly place. There is always laughter going on. You can approach any member of staff, from the top to the bottom and they always give you their precious time to talk, if you have any concerns and that makes you feel one of the team. My mother in law will be 100 on March 9th and I know that they will make her day very special and that means a lot to our family. I can't praise them highly enough, they all deserve a medal!
Thank you very much for your comments and I agree that there is a great atmosphere in the home which contributes to high quality care. I will pass your comments on to the staff who will be delighted
Lack of consistency mainly and sometimes not much interaction between care staff and residents.
Thank you for this review and taking the time to complete it. We value your feedback. We will work hard with you and your husband on the area you have identified as poor. Please pop in for a chat to further discuss how we can improve.
My mother has been very happy here at Mill View. The staff appear attentive and kind. My mother is always clean and beautifully dressed. My mother has her hair done regularly and this makes her happy. She has gained weight since being a resident at Mill View and is happy in herself. The staff keep a close eye on her medical needs and understand her condition. Overall I am happy with her care.
I am very pleased that you are happy with the care Mam receives. Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. All ideas, thoughts and feedback greatly appreciated.
This care home is really fantastic staff go over and above their normal duties to care for Dad. I have no worries that Dad is being looked after with exceptional care, understanding and dignity. Dad has built up a rapport with all care staff and has an outstanding relationship with his carer. They have become real soul mates.
Many thanks for your review - we are very grateful for it and very happy that you feel your dad is very well looked after. All the staff work very hard at doing the best they can, and we are always looking at ways to improve the environment and life for the residents of the home.
The level of care is second to none, with members of staff taking particular interest in the care of their clients. This level of care permeates through from The Manager, Nursing Staff, Care Staff, Cleaning and Laundry services.
I have visited the Home regularly at infrequent times ie: Day, Morning and Evening and found the level of care to be consistently high.
I just wish all Nursing/Care Homes had this standard.
Having your mum here with us was a great pleasure. You all as a family have been fantastic in working with us to make your mums stay as best as possible.
I consider myself as having pretty high standards and I know that I'm quick to criticise where I feel criticism is due but I also like to praise where it's due too as I think it's only fair. The care industry has had some pretty bad press recently and we all had our preconceived ideas of what dad's care would be like but we couldn't have been more wrong. I would like to commend the Manager and her team at Mill View for their dedication in providing an extremely high standard of care for my dad while he was with them for 5 weeks emergency respite. The carers always treated dad with dignity and maintained a light hearted atmosphere throughout his stay while the nursing staff made sure that his medical needs were absolutely spot on right from the start, even contacting his dietitian to confirm daily fluid requirements (thank you). The only reason we moved dad was to bring him closer to the family so that visiting frequency could be increased so fair play, a job well done by you all and you should be very proud of what you do.
Dad is an 83 year old war veteran who came back from Korea at the tender age of 19 having been blown to bits by a mortar bomb. He recovered quite well and worked full time but then suffered two big strokes, one at 42 and another at 60 but still went on to work full time until his mid 50's and even now is still compos mentis so he deserves good care and I believe that he had it at Mill view.
Thank you all once again for all that you have done for my family and I and especially for dad.
Kindest regards.
It has been a pleasure knowing you all and your dad settled in well with us, he was a pleasure to care for. Thank you for your kind comments and also for working with us at this stressful time for your dad and family. The team here wish you all well for the future.
This is a lovely professional caring home all the staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them . They take excellent care of my dad , and he is very happy living there ..this gives peace of mind for our family.
Thank you for your kind words. It is good to know you think we provide an excellent service of care. It is a pleasure caring for your dad.
