Mill View was established in 1991 and was the first purpose-built care home in the Rhondda. It has an open, homely atmosphere and the manager and staff understand that it is important that residents and their loved ones feel listened to and valued.
The aim is to ensure everyone is cared for and made to feel safe and secure and to do this Mill View has a dedicated, professional team. Mill View is conveniently located right in the heart of the Rhondda Valley in the village of Ystrad with bus and train routes on the doorstep. It is registered to accommodate 40 people over the age of 55 with nursing and/or personal care needs and a maximum of five people over the age of 65 who may have a diagnosis of dementia.

My mother is extremely well cared for at Mill View. The staff are attentive and encouraging, but not forceful. A lovely care home with plenty of activities and themed days - always fun. Her medical needs are adhered to, and meals are rated excellent, with a five-star rating for hygiene.

I had a lot of support from the staff - they were good. The management there are excellent and there is a good team spirit.
