My sister in law has been at Mill View for nine months. She lived alone for twenty years since her husband passed. Went into Mill View after having a few falls and was afraid to be on her own. She says if I die tomorrow, I have had nine months of feeling spoilt. She is so happy the staff are absolutely wonderful. We would not want her to be anywhere else.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We're delighted to hear how happy your sister in law is at Mill View and that she feels so well cared for. Her words are truly touching, and it means a great deal to know the team has helped her feel safe, supported, and 'spoilt'. We look forward to sharing your our kind feedback with team. Thank you again.
The staff at the home are always caring and considerate in their interactions with my mother and helpfull to myself and my family. As her dementia has deteriorated they have sought to find ways of dealing with it and engaging with outside agencies. The buildind is kept clean and clothing and bedding are laundered on a daily basis.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind feedback. We're pleased to hear that your mother continues to receive compassionate care and that you and your family feel supported. It's encouraging to know our team is working closely with other professionals to meet her changing needs. We look forward to sharing your positive words with the staff team.
Not only was Mam made to feel at home and cared for, but the whole family were made to feel welcome. We never felt we were in the way.
Even the family dogs always had a fuss made of them.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Communication was great and over the two and a half years Mam was in Milview the staff were not just Mam's carers, but, along with some if the resident, her friends too.
It's clear that, for the staff at Milview it is not just a job. They clearly care for the people they look after and we can't thank them enough for the way they cared for Mam.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're so pleased that your mum felt at home at Mill View and that your whole family always felt welcomed and supported. It means a lot to us to hear that the team built such meaningful relationships with your mum and provided care with genuine compassion. Your kind words will be shared with everyone at Millview. Thank you again.
When my mother was being transferred from the RGH to Mill view I was both happy that she would no longer be staying at the hospital but also had an element of concern, would she be looked after the way we wanted?? It took my 1st greeting to the home to know that we had made the right decision. The staff here are absolutely fantastic at what they do!! Kept us updated on my mams health, we're always welcoming and approachable, had a bond with my mam that was beautiful to see and took care of her like she was their own family. I know my mam was happy, comfortable, looked after and felt at home here and as a family we are so grateful to ALL staff for everything they done for my mam and us. I would recommend Mill view to anyone who wants the ease and peace of mind of knowing their loved ones are having the love, patience, dedication, care and dignity they so need at their end of life. Thank you to all the staff from myself (Tracey), my mam (Jackie) and all the family xxxxxx
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. We're really grateful for your kind words and pleased that your mum felt comfortable, cared for, and at home at Mill View. It means a great deal to know the team were able to support both your mum and your family with compassion, dignity, and kindness...
I've not had any experience of care homes before so was a bit anxious about how it would be for Dad. I honestly cannot tell you how great this place is. They've done more for Dad in a few weeks than the hospital has in months. All the staff I've met have been great, so friendly and so willing to look after the residents. All the staff are just so friendly, and seem happy to be there. The whole atmosphere is just lovely.
Anything you need to know the staff phone you which is great. Any questions you get answers to emails straight away.
Absolutely brilliant place. Massive weight off my mind that Dad can spend his last years with such lovely, caring people.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. We are grateful for your kind words and so pleased to hear that your dad is settling in well with us. Knowing that we've been able to ease both your dad's and your family's anxieties means a lot to us. Our team is committed to...
Dad was admitted to Mill View in June 2024, he had become very poorly and despite my best efforts, it was too much for him to stay at home for end-of-life care. It was an extremely difficult decision to make, however from the moment the nurse came to assess Dad at home (she was so very lovely) we knew from that we were in safe hands. Due to Dad's complex needs, we were fortunate that he was able to secure a place in Mill View within a week. From the moment that he was admitted the care was simply first class. Nothing was a problem and the staff went over and above to ensure that Dad and I were comfortable. The compassion, dignity, and love demonstrated by all at Mill View were from the heart they all deserve a six-star review - thank you all so very much for looking after Dad and me during his final 48 hours I will be forever grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for sharing your heartfelt experience. We understand how tough it must have been to decide on end-of-life care for your father, and we are deeply touched that you chose Millview for his care. From the initial assessment at home to his final hours...
The service provided by the care home and staff is outstanding. It is so reassuring for us as a family to know that Mam is looking after with the same care, love and attention we would give to her ourselves.
Thank you for submitting a review. We are so happy to hear that you find the care at Millview to be outstanding, and that your mother is receiving the same love and attention that you would provide. The team at the home is dedicated to ensuring that all residents feel at home and are cared for with compassion and respect. We will be happy to share your positive comments with them. Thank you again.
Dad was admitted to Mill View Care Home July 2023 As a family this wasn't an easy decision it was hard to know if we were doing the right thing but as most of us lived away we had limited options to keep Dad safe. Our fears were eliminated immediately as Dad settled really well. The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to meet Dad's needs and keep us connected with him through video call. Sadly Dad's stay was short but we are extremely grateful to the staff for making Dad's final months comfortable and happy. Dad referred to the staff as 'Little Angels' and I couldn't agree more. They are a credit to your company and take great pride in their roles treating everyone with dignity and respect. Thank you Mill View Care Home staff for your dedication to the most vulnerable people in your care.
Thank you for your review. We understand how difficult the decision to place your father in a care home must have been, especially with family living at a distance. We are touched by your kind words and are pleased to hear that your father settled in well and felt comfortable during his time with...
She has settled really well and this is due to the hard work and dedication of the staff.
Excellent care facility, all staff work hard and show compassion to residents and their families.
Thank you very much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a review. We understand that the decision-making, and transitioning a loved one into a care home can be challenging time, and we are pleased to know that your mother has settled in well. Our team is dedicated to providing...
My mother was well cared for by all the staff who were excellent, no complaints from me, they were all so good and always kept me informed. Some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure to meet. I won't forget their kindness and their support through a tough time.
Many thanks for your review. The hard-working staff team will be delighted.
This is my mother's third year in Mill View and I just want to give credit to the hard-working staff. Managers, nurses, carers, kitchen staff, activities, cleaning, laundry etc. I am upset that I have had to put Mum in a care home, but the staff at Mill View are very welcoming and friendly, and this has made it so much easier for me. Although Mum has dementia, she speaks very highly of the staff, and I cannot thank them enough for their commitment and dedication.
Thanks for your honest review of our home and the excellent hard-working team.
My mother received excellent care in this home. Unfortunately, my mother passed away there, maintaining dignity and respect. My family also received the support we all needed. This is a happy home, I can honestly say that every member of staff I had the opportunity to meet, always put the resident's needs first and with a smile. I would not hesitate to recommend this home especially if you are apprehensive about your family’s needs being fully met. I felt welcomed and although my mother had a short time there, their help and understanding were amazing. I didn’t have to worry and if I did have any concerns, I was quickly reassured. The nursing staff were also on top of all her medical issues. The home is spotless. There were lots going on events and engagements. Food was great! Residents and family feel included. I was so pleased that at least my mother had a better chance of life and to meet new friends before she passed. I will miss Mill View and wish them every success in the future!
Thank you for your kind review, the hard working staff will be pleased with tour feedback.
I can't express how grateful I and my family are to the staff of Mill View Care Home. They looked after both of my parents for the final year of their lives. My dad passed away in September 2022 and my mum in March 2023. The nursing and care staff could not do enough for us at those difficult times.
The home was always spotless when we visited and the carers clearly knew my parents really well. I also noted that it was the same staff all the way through, there seems to be a relatively low staff turnover which added to the sense that Mum and Dad could feel secure and safe in the later stages of their dementia. I loved dad's favourite 'hang-out' - The Creaky Joint 'pub'. And there are lots of varied activities all week and the staff always try to involve even the less mobile residents whenever possible.
Thank you all so very much.
Thankyou for your lovely review of our home and recognising the committed and hard working staff team.
Mum spent her last eight months at Mill View and she was so well cared for and loved every second there. The staff are helpful, caring and welcoming. mum could not have been cared for more. As a family, we will forever be grateful to the staff at Mill View for the above and beyond-care given.
Thank you so much for your review, the hard-working staff team will be delighted with your feedback. We are so happy your mother was well cared for.
The care my cousin has received during the month she has been in Mill View has been outstanding, her mental and physical health has improved beyond all measures.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. The home and staff team and management are delighted that your cousin is thriving in Mill View Care Home.
Feedback from local professionals was very positive and I'm grateful I trusted those opinions. The staff were wonderful and provided great care and attention making each person feel valued and their views heard.
I was originally concerned that Dad's room seemed quite a clinical space, but I needn't have worried as this just underlined the cleanliness within the room, very important as accidents occur and routine and unplanned cleaning was required, both of which I witnessed first hand. The room was large, there was plenty of storage and lots of scope to personalise the room, as Dad did.
There were plenty of diverse activities with no pressure to participate and Dad loved his food too.
Thank you for your kind review. The hard-working care, catering, domestic and management teams will be delighted that your dad has settled well into his new home.
My mother is extremely well cared for at Mill View. The staff are attentive and encouraging, but not forceful. A lovely care home with plenty of activities and themed days - always fun. Her medical needs are adhered to, and meals are rated excellent, with a five-star rating for hygiene.
Thank you for your kind review; the hard-working care, catering, domestic and management teams will be delighted.
