We have welcomed Kate's appointment, it is good having e mail contact with her.
It has been a process getting staff to adapt the new measures around Dad's eating, the placemat is a good initiative, however we have had to prompt staff to read it .
In October we had issues with how cold Dad's room was
, re windows being left open and heating not on. As a result we have bought him thicker socks and sweat shirts . The heating is now fully on so the situation is resolved.
We had an issue with not being notified of a change in meds taking for Dad .
We are still getting times when we visit and Dad is in his room with no telly on . Dad spends a lot of time on his own so telly is his company . He does benefit from time in the lounge , please can you chase up his OT assessment, hopefully he will be able to do this daily.
We still have concerns of the length of time Dad is on his own , for his psychological well being we would like him to have some interaction every hour , please advise . Thanks

My husband has been a resident at Morgana Court since August 2024 and he is so settled and well cared for. As soon as I walk into Reception I am made to feel so welcome. It is such a lovely atmosphere. The nurses and carers are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them. There are many activities
going on each day and for special occasions. Although my husband has difficulty communicating, he is always included. The Activity Co-ordinators are lovely. The Catering, Laundry, Cleaning and Maintenance staff are so helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. My husband is happy here, and our family and friends are really impressed with Morgana Court. Thank you everyone.

All staff are approachable and friendly. They talk to the residents not just to each other so there is a nice atmosphere. There are different activities each day like Tai Chi, table football, quizzes and massage and themed days with live music for VE day etc. The food is very good with a varied selection.

My dad had fallen 4 times in 10 weeks at this home the last one he fallen out of bed onto a hard floor which resulted in a broken hip and currently still in hospital after a op.
I made many complaints over his care he was in nursing dementia so should have had highly trained staff watching
out for him, other family members also visited often always something wrong on 1 occasion his toenails were so long his nail had split in 2 he was wearing some other persons shoes 3 sizes to small not once but a few times i pointed this out nothing was done as we had to go hunting for my dads slippers. Very under staffed in my opinion the lounge area had at least 20 residents sometimes more each time i visited but only 2 carers in view, fights broke out often. We had to get a carer to help the residents on different 3 occasions. My dads room was very small and gloomy nothing like the photos advertised. Although some staff members seemed eager to help my dad, others did not.

Overall my dad receives excellent care with his needs being met by caring staff. Although I've noticed more and more new staff with the unability to communicate with residents, which has led residents to become frustrated and shouting at the members of staff. I have also had difficulties communicating
