My sister in law has been at Mill View for nine months. She lived alone for twenty years since her husband passed. Went into Mill View after having a few falls and was afraid to be on her own. She says if I die tomorrow, I have had nine months of feeling spoilt. She is so happy the staff are absolutely wonderful. We would not want her to be anywhere else.

The staff at the home are always caring and considerate in their interactions with my mother and helpfull to myself and my family. As her dementia has deteriorated they have sought to find ways of dealing with it and engaging with outside agencies. The buildind is kept clean and clothing and bedding are laundered on a daily basis.

It's clear that, for the staff at Milview it is not just a job. They clearly care for the people they look after and we can't thank them enough for the way they cared for Mam.

We are forever grateful for the love and care he has received.

When my mother was being transferred from the RGH to Mill view I was both happy that she would no longer be staying at the hospital but also had an element of concern, would she be looked after the way we wanted?? It took my 1st greeting to the home to know that we had made the right decision. The staff here are absolutely fantastic at what they do!! Kept us updated on my mams health, we're always welcoming and approachable, had a bond with my mam that was beautiful to see and took care of her like she was their own family. I know my mam was happy, comfortable, looked after and felt at home here and as a family we are so grateful to ALL staff for everything they done for my mam and us. I would recommend Mill view to anyone who wants the ease and peace of mind of knowing their loved ones are having the love, patience, dedication, care and dignity they so need at their end of life. I could not be happier with the care my mother is receiving at Ty Nant. The staff (led by Kathy) are amazing. They are kind, dedicated, patient and genuinely care about my mam. The facility itself is spotless and comfortable. The administration is efficient and always available. The kitchen staff are lovely and are constantly engaging with the residents. The food is varied and looks to be tasty. Despite the sad circumstances, I am grateful and relieved to have found Ty Nant for mam.

I regularly visit my friend's mother at this care home, and I've consistently been impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the staff. They treat residents with genuine compassion and patience. The environment feels safe and clean. I've noticed how staff take time to engage residents in conversation and activities, which makes a real difference to their mood and well-being.

I have used this service since May 2025 and find it very useful. I have had the help of the nurses to get washed and dressed every morning.

Care is excellent. She is looked after very well and is always clean & tidy. She is very happy here and I am confident she is having the best care.

I can't fault any staff working here, from top - down all seem to muck - in very, very helpful. I try to avoid having food which is excellent.

The care given to my dad here is above and beyond the staff are wonderful people and I feel privileged they are caring for my beloved dad thank you all from the bottom of my heart as I know he is safe and will want for nothing

Absolutely brilliant place. Massive weight off my mind that Dad can spend his last years with such lovely, caring people.

Both my parents were at Ty Nant, Mum only for a short period but she received the best care while she was there. Dad was at Ty Nant for over 3 years, he had the best support from staff both emotionally and physically. He sadly passed away in November. The whole outlook of this care home is very positive. The staff are excellent at their jobs and go above and beyond to look after everyone including myself and extended family. I never felt as though anything was too much trouble. The manager was always at the other end of the phone and answered my emails promptly when I needed help. Will miss all of them very much.

Love that the staff have a great sense of humour too when appropriate.

My mother has been a care home user for a couple of years now, and her needs have unfortunately changed from residential care to nursing care. The transition has been handled by the staff with cheerfulness, kindness, compassion and good humour. Medical needs and dietary requirements have altered, and been dealt with professionally. On her good days, my mother has a sharp sense of humour and can enjoy a bit of joking and banter with the staff, and it's great to see her laughing and joking again. Overall, we are very happy with the standard of care she is receiving and are confident that any future requirements/changes necessary to her ongoing care will be handled in the right way.

As a regular visitor to see my father, I have formed a rapport with all of the personnel and find the whole environment to be warm and friendly.

Dad was admitted to Mill View in June 2024, he had become very poorly and despite my best efforts, it was too much for him to stay at home for end-of-life care. It was an extremely difficult decision to make, however from the moment the nurse came to assess Dad at home (she was so very lovely) we knew from that we were in safe hands. Due to Dad's complex needs, we were fortunate that he was able to secure a place in Mill View within a week. From the moment that he was admitted the care was simply first class. Nothing was a problem and the staff went over and above to ensure that Dad and I were comfortable. The compassion, dignity, and love demonstrated by all at Mill View were from the heart they all deserve a six-star review - thank you all so very much for looking after Dad and me during his final 48 hours I will be forever grateful.

My mum has been at The Hollies for six months now and myself and other family members are delighted with the care she is receiving at The Hollies. She has a nice, functional room and the communal spaces including a TV lounge, coffee lounge and dining room are all first-class and always kept neat and tidy. The thing that makes this place so special is the staff who are universally excellent. The management, carers, catering team, cleaners and maintenance do a fantastic job of creating a welcoming and homely environment. My mother was a reluctant resident initially but has settled in really well and is very happy there. This is thanks to the individual attention she has been given to make her content and healthy. There is a vibrant, positive, happy environment whenever I visit thanks to the varied and stimulating programme of activities on offer to the residents during the day which is a really positive aspect of daily life at The Hollies. We are genuinely grateful for this. Thanks!
