Care Homes Owned by Silvercrest Care in Bridgend

My dad has been a resident in Morgana Court for almost 4 years. The care is so good. He is always clean and well-shaven. The staff are caring and compassionate. They are all aware of his likes/dislikes and encourage him to join in appropriate activities. He moved from residential to nursing care last year, seamless transition. Excellent home. Would always recommend.

We still have concerns of the length of time Dad is on his own , for his psychological well being we would like him to have some interaction every hour , please advise . Thanks

My husband has been a resident at Morgana Court since August 2024 and he is so settled and well cared for. As soon as I walk into Reception I am made to feel so welcome. It is such a lovely atmosphere. The nurses and carers are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them. There are many activities going on each day and for special occasions. Although my husband has difficulty communicating, he is always included. The Activity Co-ordinators are lovely. The Catering, Laundry, Cleaning and Maintenance staff are so helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. My husband is happy here, and our family and friends are really impressed with Morgana Court. Thank you everyone.

My mother moved to this home a year ago the level of care she has received is excellent from the nurses she couldn't be more happy and looked after by all the wonderful staff it's a pleasure to go and visit I am always made to feel welcome an all round excellent home from home atmosphere it's always beautiful and clean my family and I can feel at ease knowing she is so happy

Thank you isn't enough for the care and love you gave my dear friend. All the years she was with you were really happy. The staff gave her the friendship and care she needed and deserved. I would also like to say thank you for the care and support they gave me.

All staff are approachable and friendly. They talk to the residents not just to each other so there is a nice atmosphere. There are different activities each day like Tai Chi, table football, quizzes and massage and themed days with live music for VE day etc. The food is very good with a varied selection. My dad had salmon and roast lamb one week, with a glass of wine available with Sunday lunch in the Court. If my dad is ill nursing staff monitor him diligently too. I have worked in different care homes and would highly recommend Morgana.

Overall my dad receives excellent care with his needs being met by caring staff. Although I've noticed more and more new staff with the unability to communicate with residents, which has led residents to become frustrated and shouting at the members of staff. I have also had difficulties communicating with staff over the telephone and having to ask them to repeat not to sound rude I have finished the call not totally understanding just piecing bits together and hoping I've got it right.

Since my mother has been in this nursing home she has thrived. Her well being and health has been better. My mother is always clean. The staff are always pleasant and I cannot fault their care and attention towards my mother. The care is outstanding in this building. The building is kept to high standards and is very clean. The nursing team and staff are professional. I would definitely recommend this nursing home and we are lucky for my mother to go to this nursing home.

Mum and Dad moved into Morgana Court in 2021. They had two rooms, one as a bedroom and one a sitting room. This was the only Care Home that offered this option at the time as Dad needed nursing care and Mum residential. We were very grateful for this and they got a divan bed in for Mum rather than a hospital bed which was a nice touch. Dad sadly passed away in 2024 and Mum stayed on. She's very happy there. Talks highly of the staff and as a family we agree. It's quite a small care home but pleasant and it doesn't smell as so many do. The staff are friendly and caring. The room is clean and bright. I think we made the right choice.

I am very happy with the care my mam is getting at Morgana Court and Lodge. The staff are very caring and lovely and I have no worries about things regarding the home and the care for my mam.

Staff are so good and kind and caring. My son is settled and content and made my life so much better. Thank you so much.

Disappointed that there has been no improvement on being able to gain entry to see my grandma. Waited 45 minutes on one occasion to get in. Attitude on some staff (mostly managers) is disgusting. They speak to you with no respect and like they know my grandma better than her family. Entertainment and activities available could be massively improved. Some entertainment and activities seem very cheap and not well-prepared or thought out. Parking is a nightmare there, especially as there is a skip taking up space in the car park. Seating in communal area for visitors is extremely limited, more movable seats would be good.

Where to start - my wife has vascular dementia and the only thing I can say is the staff are wonderful, the food is wonderful and the accommodation is second to none. All in all its a place that I have no problem recommending Morgana Court to anyone

Really pleased with the attitude of everyone I have dealt with. There seems to be a genuine effort to be helpful and caring. You feel you are on the same side, both interested in the residents care which is really refreshing.

He enjoys the activities and gathering in the new conservatory making new friends.

The staff overall are very caring and understanding especially in view of mother's lack of sight which creates an issue regarding her need for constant attention, which obviously is not possible. The food she says is excellent as is her room, though we did have to ask for the medication cupboard to be moved after she hit and cut her head on it. Although mother has only been a resident for six weeks we have come to know several members of staff and have been very pleased with their attitude and support with some of mother's issues.

The staff at the Lodge are excellent and treat my mother with the utmost care and compassion and allow her to keep her dignity - I cannot fault them one bit. All the staff are very welcoming and we are more than happy at the level of care she is receiving.

The staff are great, wonderful. The staff make it nice for my mother who lives there permanently, a safe lovely place. Staff make it that way, you know you can trust the people who look after them, they are so lovely like family.

It is a pleasure to walk into the home and all communal areas and this is due to the excellent cleanliness throughout. Exceptional care has been shown to our uncle since he has been a resident at Morganna Court. Most friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. Very approachable and we are kept fully informed of our Uncle's health and well-being. We have highly recommended Morganna Court to friends. Keep up the good work.
