My mother became a resident at the end of April. All of the staff members have be very welcoming + supportive and have help my mum settle into her new home. All of the staff are very respectful and I feel that they genuinely care a lot for the residents. I am very grateful that they have succeeded in encouraging my mum to not remain in bed all day + have succeeded in getting her to part take in activity. Once again thank you for everything you do to support my mum.

I feel a deep sense of gratitude to the staff for their loving kindness and meticulous care in ensuring G was kept comfortable and peaceful. Their tears, condolences and hugs were a huge comfort and support to me. When the end came, it went well - thanks to such wonderful staff - and that is all I could have asked for.

A special note for the effort Glain puts in when residents have a celebration. The afternoon tea my dad was recently treated to was 'knock it out of the park' impressive. All the staff who organised and ran the event should feel proud of their huge contribution to making his day special.

We understand how emotional it can be when a loved one moves into care, so it is incredibly reassuring to hear that you felt a sense of comfort from the moment your grandmother arrived. Providing that reassurance...
Choosing a care home for my mum was the hardest decision, but from the moment she arrived, the staff made us feel we had absolutely made the right choice. The love, kindness and genuine compassion shown to her daily, is nothing short of extraordinary. They do not just care for her needs, they care for her as a person. They know what makes her smile, when she needs reassurance & treat her with such dignity and affection, it feels like she is surrounded by extended family. All staff go above and beyond and their kindness means the world to us. Seeing mum comfortable, respected and safe gives us peace. The atmosphere is always welcoming and filled with genuine care. The staff show incredible professionalism alongside such heartfelt compassion. Their dedication shines through in everything they do. My dad who has Alzheimer's is now much safer. My mum who needs palliative care is feeling much relieved from caring for dad, and I haven't seen her smile so much in ages. The staff are very aware that mum and dad need to be together each day and make sure this happens.
I checked the reviews on carehome.co.uk before they went to Glain House and we were all much reassured - it was great for mum to be able to get an idea of what it would be like beforehand.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly grateful for your kind words, and it means a great deal to the whole team at Glain House. We understand how overwhelming it can feel when care is needed quickly, especially when supporting two loved ones with very...
My sister and I met with Glain House management on 9th January, looking for a placement for both our parents as an urgent measure, and were given an excellent first impression. Management obviously care deeply about their responsibilities in the care home. Mum and Dad were accepted into Glain House and the level of care they are receiving is outstanding. All the staff are well trained, very kind, and friendly to our parents. They have settled into their new home very well and are getting the care they need. Mum is having palliative care and Dad has late stage Alzheimer's. A big thank you from my sister and I to Glain House. We would definitely recommend them!
We are delighted to hear that your first impression of Glain...
My mother has been in this home since 2022, myself and my brother have nothing but praise for the way she has been cared for. I cannot fault any aspect of her care or how the home keeps us informed of her state of health. Five out of five stars.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It means a great deal to us to know that you and your brother feel so confident in the care your mother receives. Keeping families informed and providing the best possible care is at the heart of what we do, and your kind words are truly appreciated by the whole team.
Our mum was admitted there in the spring of 2024. Prior to that she spent just over a month in a nursing home which we were not at all happy with, because it did not provide the specific care she needed as a person with dementia, although the staff were aware of her condition.
When we moved her to Glain House it was a great relief to us. The room was lovely and bright, with a well-equipped en-suite bathroom. She perked up considerably after the move, and was much more communicative, although she was very frail. She was very well cared for; all the staff were very friendly and professional, and attentive to her needs. They did all they could to make her comfortable for the last few months of her life, and for that we are deeply grateful.
Thank you for your kind words and for trusting us with your mum's care. We are so pleased to hear that she felt more comfortable after moving to Glain House. It means a lot to our team to know their care and compassion made a difference during such an important time. We are deeply grateful for your recommendation and send our best wishes to you and your family.
It was a comfort to see my father in such a caring, sympathetic & gracious involvement, especially the compassion of the staff from the management & medical & carers. Their interaction with those in need & their thoughtfulness for the residents and those who visit loved ones. It has become reassuring & a sense of burdens being lifted to know that dad is looked after in this way. The room also was so impressive, spacious & clean.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your father is receiving the care, compassion, and support he deserves. It means so much to know that our team's dedication brings you comfort and reassurance. We truly appreciate your kind words and are we always here for you and your family.
My father stayed there for nine months before he passed away in the early days of 2025. The staff were very sensitive and helpful during this time.
My Mum enjoyed joining in the activities during visits to my father. Visiting family and friends are made very welcome and are encouraged to visit as often as possible. The visiting times are not restricted I would quite often arrive
at the home at 8:30 in the evening.
The staff were helpful and professional, they would do anything they could to help me and my Mum.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and detailed review. We are truly honoured that you chose Glain House for your father's care and are touched to hear that both he and your family felt supported during his time with us. It means so much to know that our team's efforts to...
They are very kind and they always have a smile when I visit, they go out of their way to make their patients happy and at home.
But I am reviewing because they work so very hard on what seems like low staffing. Caron Group need to look after their staff and be aware of their needs as if these members of staff give up through working too hard with no appreciation from Caron Group they won't have a care home to profit off any longer. Thank you to the staff. Any lack of stars is directed at not enough staff to help existing staff have a better day.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value the hard work and dedication our team puts into providing the best care and support for our residents. It's always wonderful to see that recognised, we ourselves have various ways in which we additionally acknowledge the...
Since my wife has been at Glain House she has come on great. She is a different woman. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff or management.

Our team is dedicated to providing a comfortable and supportive environment and it's wonderful to know that their efforts have made a difference. Thank you for your continued support.
Mum has been a resident for just over a month now. In that time her health and well-being have improved dramatically. She has a new lease of life and that's down to the excellent care and interactions with all at Glain House.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful feedback. We're thrilled to hear that your Mum's health and well-being have improved so dramatically since coming to Glain House. It's incredibly rewarding to know that our care and interactions have made such a positive impact on her life. Your kind words mean a lot, we will be sure to pass them on to our team.
My mum was discharged from hospital as an "end of life" patient with a burst appendix but having resided in Glain House since July 2023, she has improved no end but sadly her quality of life isn't great she is doubly incontinent, no longer walks and has dementia. The staff are very patient and kind and I am very happy to know she is in their very capable hands!
We are deeply grateful for your kind words and appreciate your trust in our team to care for your mum during such a challenging time. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care possible and your recognition of our team's patience and kindness means a great deal to us. Please know...

My mum-in-law was a resident at the care home. Every staff member was kind and caring and made her stay at Gain House so happy for her. The care home is clean and tidy at all times. l would recommend this home to anyone who wants their loved one to have the best quality care; it's just one big family who welcomes you straight away. It's such a difficult time when you need to find a care home for somebody you love dearly, but Glain House made it so easy for us. From our first visit, we knew it's where we wanted Mum to be looked after. And they all looked after my mum so well. Just seeing how staff were with other residents whilst we visited knew we had made the right decision.
We will never be able to thank the staff at Glain House enough!
