I have been going to this care home now for 12 years + and at this present time is run as a credit and reassuring peace of mind for loved ones and family of the people within it.

Staff and management always show a very caring and affectionate receptive attitude each time I have personally visited to myself and all. My sister has always enjoyed her stay at this care home. Well done Ty Dinas.

In the current situation (COVID), the staff has been very good, giving me weekly video messages and updates with my Mother. I feel they have handled the situation extremely well. Thank you.

We find ourselves in a difficult time where everyone has restrictions, this is very difficult for residents and family, where we can we will strive to maintain the contact in whatever way we can ensuring everyone's well being.

My mother has been a resident since September 2017 and I have found ty Dinas care home to have been a very friendly, caring, and all-round pleasant atmosphere. My Mum is treated with the utmost respect and is always considered what her needs are. The care home is very well maintained, always cleaned to a high standard. The dining room is laid out well and the communal garden area is a pleasure to sit in.

I am the father of a resident at this care home. My son has been a resident of Ty Dinas home for some 20 plus years. Throughout various changes of ownership, since Larchwood has assured ownership, I can truthfully say that conditions and nursing of the home have improved immensely. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who has to be separated from a loved one.

I can’t begin to tell you how much this place did for our dad and us. Both my wife and I are nurses by profession and the carers and nurses here (as well as the great GPs who look after the residents too) can’t do enough. They reminded me why we became nurses in the first place and there is no doubt in my mind while those folk remain that this is the best there is. The bricks and mortar don’t make a home a care home it’s the staff and residents. In that sense there is no finer place. We were dreading “putting dad in a home” but could not really cope anymore. These people in here became our family too and chatted laughed cared and ultimately cried with us and dad at the end. Nursing 101.

I am known to be an awkward customer when it comes to nursing standards but I am still in love with these guys!

I would just like to say, how happy I am with the care and attention my mother is receiving. She is holding conversations, asking questions and recognising visitors. It is true to say I have not seen her so well for 7 years.

Thank you very much.
