My father moved into the home 6 months ago - I have nothing but praise for all the staff and management. I feel that the home is very transparent, nothing is too much trouble and staff appear to be well trained.
We are sincerely grateful for your wonderful review of Glain House. Your observation that "nothing is too much trouble" is a testament to our team's genuine passion for their work and the well-being of our residents. We take great pride in creating an environment where residents and their families...
Fantastic staff, hard working and very friendly. The nursing home is spotless and very spacious. You can visit without appointment and always a cheery welcome. My father always looks clean and well cared for.

Your kind words reinforce our commitment to providing exceptional care. We look forward to continuing to meet and exceed your expectations.
All staff are wonderful, they truly care for my mum and treat her with dignity. The facilities are comfortable and always kept clean. Food is tailored to my mother's needs and is always of a good standard. My mother enjoys the group activities and feels very at home here.
We are thrilled to receive your positive review of Glain House. Your kind words have truly brightened our day and we are grateful for the opportunity to provide the best care possible for your lovely mum.
A very clean and tidy care home. My dad is kept safe and well cared for. The staff are very kind and interact well with my dad, also, on my visits I have seen many different activities going on. I would highly recommend Glain House.
Your feedback means the world to us; we are deeply committed to ensuring the well-being and happiness of all our residents. We are grateful for your support and look forward to continuing to provide the highest standard of care to your Dad.
The home is well run. It is clean and tidy, with staff coming around tidying the corridors and rooms. The staff are extremely friendly and caring towards their patients. There are options to keep patients involved with a series of activities, as well as a TV room and courtyard when the weather is good. As well as regular meals, staff come around with biscuits, fruit and drinks.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience with us. We're delighted to hear that you're happy with the care and services provided at Glain House and we look forward to continuing to provide the best possible care for your loved one.
My husband had to be moved into the home as I was extremely ill and unable to care for him. The staff and management have been fantastic with his care and the support I've been given has been brilliant. My husband is unable to talk and the carers and nurses have tremendous patience in caring for him. They have activities in the morning and last week the weather was so good that all the residents were taken out in the courtyard for their lunch. When I ring they always take the phone to my husband just so he can hear my voice. I'm just so glad my husband is in a home where he's happy and the care he receives is fantastic.
We are so grateful for your positive feedback, getting to know your husband has been lovely. Our team takes pride in delivering personalised care and fostering a sense of community within Glain House and it is so encouraging to read your kind words.
During our Mother's stay at Glain House we have nothing but praise for the staff both cared for her and welcomed her at every opportunity. Staff are kind, caring and considerate. What also touched us as a family is when our Mother passed away she was treated with dignity and staff also went out of their way to pay their own respects. We have nothing but high praise for staff and management at Glain House.
It's truly rewarding to know that our care home has made a positive difference, your mother was a wonderful person and her presence is missed dearly. Your review inspires us to continue our mission of providing exceptional care and support to all our residents.
They always try to keep up with current events to try to let the residents know the day of year, the year it is and the special occasion it represents, such as St Patrick's Day, July 4th, Coronations, Queen's Birthday, parties, BBQs etc. which is all good in my mind. That takes considerable energies and time for the staff to do, whilst still fulfilling their caring duties for residents. I hope they long succeed in the manner that this home is run.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely review of Glain House. We are truly touched by your kind words and are so pleased to hear about your positive experience whilst visiting. Our care team are truly dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, and your recognition of...
My mum used to be a senior carer here in Glain House many years ago when it was 'Burges House'. She retired at the age of seventy-two due to health. We couldn't think of anywhere but here when she needed care and support. From carers, nurses, activity coordinators, domestic, kitchen and office staff couldn't do enough to provide care and love towards our mum. One home manager we can't thank enough, you were amazing.
Thank you so much for your heart-warming words, it was a privilege to care for your mum. We are absolutely thrilled to read your positive review, especially knowing that your mum once worked here. Please know that your review encourages us to continuously strive for excellence in every aspect of...
My mother has just become a resident and the transition from home to care home has been fabulous. Her care has been fantastic.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear your experience at Glain House has been positive so far. Our dedicated team strives to provide exceptional care and create a warm and welcoming environment for all our residents. Your feedback means the world to us and we look forward to caring for your mother with the utmost care and compassion.
Very pleased with the carers, nursing staff, cleaners and maintenance staff. Everybody is friendly and it is just like being with a large family. Very happy here. Management is also excellent, and very approachable.
Thank you for your lovely review, we are so pleased to hear that you are receiving such great care at Glain House and are enjoying being part of our family here.
My sister felt very welcomed and looked after. She appreciated your help and company. Thank you so much for taking care of her. We were very happy with the care you provided for us as a family.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review, it was an honour and a privilege to care for your sister. Her strength and courage were inspirational and we all respect the precious time spent with her. The team on the second floor spent the most time with her and they will cherish the memory.
My father has been at Glain House for the past 12 weeks and has settled in nicely. So much so that he continually makes jokes and has great banter with the staff. I haven't seen him this happy in years, it's a pleasure now to visit him. The manager is kind, caring and very helpful and the staff are just wonderful and so friendly. I am so happy with this home as it makes my father happy and cheerful. I would definitely recommend Glain House to anyone that is in need of care facilities.
Thank you for your kind comments. We all appreciate your feedback, and it is good to know that we have had an impact in the care we provide and you're comments will provide us with a deep sense of pride and enhance our drive-in continuously improving how we provide support.
The team at Glain House were so very kind and caring. My father always looked so cared for, each member of staff demonstrated personalised care to both my father and his family for which we will be forever grateful. The constant level of care was hugely appreciated and will never be forgotten as the family would not have managed alone.
I am very happy with the care provided to my father by Glain House. The facilities seem very good, hygiene standards are high and the staff are friendly and caring. Protocols relating to Covid-19 are thoroughly enforced.
The food served to us is of very poor quality, repetitious and little vegetables or pasta. I had to move home in 2020 after being in hospital for a depressive illness and needed support for a period. I am on the fourth floor where the regular staff are good but when staff from the first or second floor replace them they are often rude and do not treat us with the respect we should be given. There is a staff shortage and when I visited the second floor I was appalled and depressed by what I witnessed - residents slumped in wheelchairs and seemed drugged up to me. Many of the staff on floors one and two only speak broken English and are distant. I could go on and on.
“Thank you for your feedback which, as you know, we have looked into and discussed with you. We do appreciate you raising your concerns, and we do not want you (or any resident) to be unhappy with the service. We don’t agree with you on all points, and obviously, we can’t discuss with you the care...
My mother has only been a resident for a few months, but she appears to have settled in well. Given Covid and the limited feedback from, my mother I am unable to accurately rate all of the items which follow.
A very professionally run care home that upholds consistently high standards in all respects.
Ty Dinas has been a model care home throughout the pandemic. The management has been outstanding in ensuring the safety of residents. The staff have shown their fearless commitment and adaptability in challenging circumstances. I have been so glad that my mother was here in Ty Dinas during the crisis, protected from this terrible virus. The reintroductions of visiting have been done with the utmost care and are being very efficiently managed.
Our continued commitment to maintaining a safe environment is for the benefit of our residents and staff, without the continued support from the families this would have been even harder. Your feedback is much appreciated and will be passed onto staff.
Take good care of my mum.
