All staff show the upmost care and respect to all the residents. The staff are all very friendly and patient. They provide great updates to you about your family member in the nursing home. Katie and all the carers and nurses do an exceptional job.

A wonderful care home with staff that go above and beyond to look after their residents. They provide a comfortable, safe and caring environment that you feel when entering the home. The food is excellent and the activities are varied, participation is encouraged not compulsory. Visitors are welcome at any time - even dogs - and the staff always have up to date knowledge about their residents. A lovely place to spend your later years.

Milsom House has been brilliant for my Nan - the staff are extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming. All the residents are incredibly well looked after, and I know my Nan is very happy and comfortable here.

There are lots of activities going on throughout the week and the atmosphere is always bright and cheery.

My 92 year old father has lived in Milsom House for a year and he and us, his family, are very pleased with it. The staff are very good, being caring and careful, as he is disabled, as well as cheerful and chatty. This applies whether they are carers, nurses, catering, admin or general staff; there is a very good attitude. The food is excellent, a good choice to tempt aged people. The rooms are cosy, with dad's own pictures and ornaments. There is a good variety of common rooms, as well as daily events. I can definitely recommend Milsom House

My mother was welcomed into Milsom House in May 2026. The care she has received since becoming a resident has been and is outstanding. I was extremely worried that Mum would not settle into a new environment because of her dementia but glad to say she is doing extremely well. The staff are amazing and extremely patient with her. Her room is lovely, clean and always well presented. She is eating well and is always giggling away. I can't thank the staff enough for helping easing mum into a new environment.

Had been in hospital for a few months and now discharged. This home close to my home town and recommended by near neighbours. Very good experience, helpful friendly staff. Nice rooms and meals but not convenient for my nearest family to visit so now looking for home closer to them. Will be sorry to leave but needs must.

It has been a real delight to visit and see Dad happy, chatty and, overall, so much more upbeat about life. Dementia is such a cruel disease, and making the decision to move Dad into a care home was incredibly difficult. However, after visiting Milsom House, the decision became so much easier.

We didn't feel the need to look anywhere else. From the moment we visited, we immediately had a feeling that this could be 'home' for Dad - and it truly has become that.

Visiting is always so easy and relaxed. We can come and go, spend time with Dad and are always made to feel welcome. It means so much to know that he is being cared for with such kindness, patience and compassion.

Thank you so much to everyone at Milsom House. You are absolute angels, and we will always be incredibly grateful for everything you do for Dad.

My grandfather is a resident at Milsom House. As a family we were reluctant about resorting to a care home as we feared care standard's and thought we could provide better at home. We were wrong Milsom House has cared and nursed my Grandfather back to a health standard we did not think was possible, all his care needs are attended to no matter what time of the day we visit! His room is always clean with fresh towels and bedding, his food is made from scratch by kitchen staff and to a texture he can tolerate. Staff go above and beyond to ensure a friendly home from home environment, with staff actively taking part in entertainment such as singing, quizzes and stories. Family concerns are always listened to and acted upon accordingly.

Milsom House is an excellent care home, staffed by people who are both efficient and caring. I have nothing but praise for them.

We placed Mum into Milsom House after her 100th Birthday. She required 24/7 care for her own safety she has onset senile dementia, with poor short-term memory. Milsom House provides that security especially during the nighttime. The staff appear helpful and the nursing staff always available to offer medical updates. Mum is happy sitting in her chair most of the day watching TV. Her appetite is diminishing and I have asked alternate meals to be occasionally offered eg: porridge/breakfast; eggs on toast for lunch. I hope that they are listening, only requests???

My brother has been at Milsom House for a short time. I am very pleased and happy he has settled in. It's been a difficult time for me so it's a great relief that he is being well cared for and at least he is safe. All the staff are wonderful to both my brother and to me, always feel welcome there. It is truly a lovely environment for him to be there. You say do not use names, but having Kaite there is a breath of fresh air to me. My brother feels he can ask anything of the staff, I also feel that pressure taken off me. He loves the food, the staff ensure he is clean every day. He has showers, they look after his hygiene. Excellent all round.

My mother lived at Milsom House for 18 months, where she was consistently treated with the utmost care, kindness and respect. The staff are truly wonderful, and the home is always spotlessly clean and well maintained. It offers several comfortable sitting rooms and a variety of bedrooms, many with private toilets and showers. The residents are always well cared for and smartly dressed, and carers are readily available whenever assistance is needed.

My mother spent her final days at Milsom House, and I will always be grateful for the exceptional compassion shown by the nurses and care staff. They ensured that she was comfortable and treated with dignity, while also giving me thoughtful advice and invaluable support during an extremely difficult time.

I cannot speak highly enough of Milsom House and its dedicated staff. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone seeking a caring, respectful and professionally run home for a loved one.

My dad has been at Milsom House for four years. During this time he has been cared for with kindness and understanding, kept clean and tidy and fed well due to the amazing chef and kitchen assistants. He takes part in exercise games when the sports assistants are there but due to his increasing dementia this is not all the time. The staff all treat him with a smile and ensure that he is safe and happy in the home. Overall, we are satisfied with the care he receives and are kept informed and updated if his needs change.

We are incredibly grateful to all the staff at Milsom House for the wonderful care + support they have provided to our loved one. Their end of life care + support has been gratefully received and helped us all immensely through this difficult time. The nurses + carers have provided round the clock care and made a very difficult period in our lives a little bit easier. We cant thank you all enough.

All in all, I am very pleased I found this home for my mum.

My mother was a resident at Milsom house during 2025. All of Milsom house staff were so kind and supportive to my mother and myself, mum was cared for with so much dignity and respect. Milsom house is a small friendly care home where you can feel part of your loved one's care. My mum particularly enjoyed the garden and we put in plants together. Mum loved the food it was always so beautifully presented and the catering staff took time to learn about my mother's dietary needs and requirements. Milsom house was always beautifully clean and the laundry staff took care with her clothes. The management, nursing and support workers were knowledgable and gave care with compassion and always had time for my mum and myself as well when I needed to discuss her care. Milsom house has some daily activities for residents, they were looking to increase these which will be very beneficial for the residents. I would like to thank all staff who supported mum; it became her home.

My mother, Joan went into Milsom House Residential Care and Nursing Home on December 1st 2026. Like lots of families having to face the decision of whether or not this is right thing to do, we too, found this a difficult decision to make. However, I need not have worried about the care that residents receive there. Joan has been looked after and cared for with the utmost professionalism, respect and attention. Unfortunately Joan only spent five months in the Manors care. She passed away due to old age basically and at the age of nearly 98 passed peacefully in the homes care. We naturally would like thank everyone who was involved with Joan's care throughout her stay. I would not have done or chosen anything differently if we were to have our time again. If anyone finds themselves having to make a decision about a relatives or friends care, I would recommend you have a look at The Manor.
