My mother has been a resident at Cwm Cartref for three and half years progressing from residential to nursing care. The management and staff have always treated my mother with care and respect as well as providing invaluable advice and support to myself and the wider family during health challenges
through Dementia.
Cwm Cartref takes pride in its service and is always well-maintained, clean, and well-presented. Circulation areas are welcoming.
Visitors are welcome at any time and are encouraged to participate in activities. It's a very caring and family-orientated environment and I am satisfied with the care and support that my mother receives. The facility would benefit from more staff providing further care and support for all residents in social activities as their condition deteriorates..
I would highly recommend and thank all (including other families) for their ongoing support.

The care mum gets at Cwm Cartref is excellent. All the staff are very helpful and patient. The activities and facilities are first class. There were many events and activities throughout the festive season, and there is plenty more to brighten up a gloomy January.
I feel included in my mum's care
at all times and am informed of any changes very promptly. The atmosphere is always calm and welcoming, whatever the time of day I visit. Nothing seems too much trouble. Mum is definitely well looked after and as comfortable as she can be despite her many healthcare needs.

Management - excellent. All staff, carers, nurses, domestics - excellent. I couldn't fault the care my mother had during hr time at Cwm Cartref Care Home. The home is clean, tidy & very well organised. All residents are catered for depending on their needs. Entertainment was regular for residents who
were able to take part in activities. The garden & decking areas were well maintained and easily accessible to all.

Myself and my family are very happy with the care my mother receives at Cwm Cartref. Management and staff are always helpful, pleasant and courteous. The home is always clean and doesn't have the unpleasant smell that unfortunately some homes do. I am always informed immediately if Mum has any issues,
and I know she is in safe hands, and I can have peace of mind knowing she is in good hands.

We chose Cwm Cartref after visiting 4 Nursing Homes. We knew immediately it would be the one of choice and our aunt aged 101 was admitted from Hospital. She had been monitored carefully by the palliative care team in Morriston and we knew given her condition it wasn't likely to a be long term placement.
But in the relatively short time she was there we cannot speak highly enough of the care/support she received and the willingness of all staff - at every level - to go that 'extra mile' to ensure her comfort and well being as well as that of ourselves when visiting. The visiting policy meant we could pop in at any time often several times a day. She expressed more than once how pleased she was to be there. On her last day when we received a phone call at 10.20 a.m. advising we might wish to visit we sat at her bedside until she expired at 5.36 p.m. Throughout the day the staff were amazing even providing us with a tea/coffee/biscuits trolley. Thank you Cwm Cartref.

My mother is well cared for, treated with love & compassion - all her needs are met. The staff are all thoughtful & kind. She can do very little for herself but nothing is too much for the staff. I have no concerns for her at Cwm Cartref.

Since my mum has been in Cwm Cartref's care it has changed her and our lives for the better, knowing that your loved ones are not only physically cared for, but emotionally too. I can't say enough good things about all the staff nurses, maintenance etc. Would recommend them very highly.

I am very pleased with the level of care that my nana receives here on a daily basis. All members of staff are extremely professional, friendly and kind. My nana is treated with dignity and respect which is reflected in how settled she feels here. This home has a real family feel to it and nothing
is too much trouble for the amazing staff. It is always lovely and clean in the communal areas and in my nana's bedroom. I would highly recommend this home to anybody looking to find a placement for a loved one.

Our mum has been a resident of Cwm Cartref for a few months and I would like to compliment the care home and the quality of care.
The team take great care of our mum, the standard and variety of the meals is great, always warm, rooms are kept clean and there are regular activities.
Never seen our
mum doing Karaoke before.
We get regular updates from the team on how our mum has settled in.

My dad arrived at Cwm Cartref on Thursday 14th November. We were greeted by the manager who was really helpful and caring. The nursery I spoke to was so helpful and full of smiles. Since visiting my dad, we have been so pleased with all the caring staff who look after my dad. I will always remember
a member of staff who was bringing teas, coffees and homemade cakes around and called my dad by his first name. This was priceless. I also met one staff member who was so helpful and caring.

My fathers seems very content and is well looked after. When visiting, all staff are very helpful and communicate well. Access is very secure. There are activities that my father is involved with daily.

My mother has been a resident at Cwm Cartref Care home for approximately 14 months, having been transferred there directly from hospital following a 6-month stay due to various issues.
Considering that she has always told us never to put her in a home, she seems happy enough there now she realises
that she cannot be looked after at home. She likes the staff - who are always very friendly and attentive, and enjoys the food served there. She seems to be well looked after and is always washed and clean and well dressed.
On our regular visits to see my mother, we find the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the property is well-maintained and is always very clean throughout.
Although my mother is unable to take part, there are regular events held there - including visits by singers, fates, craft classes, etc which help keep the residents active and involved.
We are now very pleased that she is a resident at Cwm Cartref.

An outstanding, caring team of professionals where nothing is too much trouble. It's a great setting also with fantastic outside space. Meals are varied and my Mother receives constant attention. Dad was moved there from another nursing home. This is far superior. The staff are very caring and Dad is very well looked after. Food is plentiful and of a good standard. Entertainment is excellent and something going on most days. The home is very clean. All staff are very friendly.

I am very happy that my mother is living at Cwm Cartref. She is well looked after, the staff are very nice and friendly to the residents and always take time to speak to visitors. If there are any issues concerning my mother I am notified straight away.

My aunt has been with you for some months. I have to say she is very happy. I am very impressed with the care and attention she receives, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. My aunt had a problem sitting and the management team procured a new chair for her which has made things more comfortable
for her. I don't live locally and when I visit I am made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere is lovely. It's not an easy job you're staff do, put my mind is at rest. knowing how well she is looked after, and as she told me in a phone call yesterday she wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

My sister moved into Cwm Cartref on 5th July 24. From arrival the manager and all staff were very welcoming to her and to the extended family.
The first thing that struck me was the colourful array of hanging baskets on the approach to the entrance. The security at the entrance is excellent, the home
was spotless and every member of staff was smiling and constantly busy. There was a delicious aroma coming from the dining room and kitchen.
Staff went out of their way to settle her down and very soon whisked her away for a delicious lunch.
I and other family members visited her daily for several days to ensure she was settling and we were and are delighted at the way things are going.
There is a good program of entertainment and interaction which she finds stimulating. The family is encouraged to join residents for entertainment. She tells me she's happy so we are satisfied that the move to Cwm Cartref was in her very best interests and thank every member of staff for their care.
