I have nothing but praise for the manager and staff of Glangarnant.
They made my aunt so very welcome and at home from the very beginning and the care they gave her was second to none.
My aunt was looked after with kindness and dignity until her passing.

Dad spent just over a year as a resident of Glangarnant prior to his sad death in January 2021. Dad looked so much better and healthier with the good care he received. All the staff were very caring and helpful not only to Dad but myself, despite all the very difficult circumstances of the pandemic
the care Dad received was excellent - the staff were all exceptional.

My Mum and Step-Dad were at 'Glangarnant' only 6 months and both passed away at the Home. They were taken great care of and during the Covid pandemic and were kept very safe. The staff were very kind and so caring. My Mum looked 10 years younger after moving to 'Galangarnant' Sadly, they both passed
away September and October 2020 but in the short time they were there, they became very close and happy with the tender loving care they both recieved from all the staff. The Manager is just a star. I highly recomend this wonderful home.

To all the staff at Glangarnant.
I’m sure 2020, and probably 2021, will be a year that will have taken its toll.
So far you have shown just how far you are prepared to take your responsibility and duty. Surely, with the sacrifices you have made, this is more than just duty, this is a deep-seated
compassion for those you care for.
The road ahead will still be a significant challenge, but at least some of this pandemic path has been trodden and some of the uncertainties are becoming more clear with the vaccine giving real hope of some normality resuming.
I want to say a big thank you to you all. You are as much in my thoughts as the thoughts I have for my Mam and what she is going through.

My mother has been a resident of Glangarnant for 15 years and I have seen many changes. The team have transformed the home and it is now the happiest, most caring, lovely place and I couldn't be happier with the care my mother is receiving. The home always looks freshly painted, scrubbed clean, the
windows are opened for fresh air and the staff are all friendly and chatty. It's everything you hope a residential care home would be. Thank you Glangarnant.

I have nothing but praise for Glangarnant. My mother spent her final five years there, firstly on the residential wing before progressing to the nursing wing.
Throughout that period the care she received was exemplary. The staff and management always acted with the utmost friendship, care and professionalism.
I
hope to find a similarly run establishment if and when I might need one!

My beloved grandmother was here for a very short time, but the tender care and loving respect shown to both her and us as a family were exceptional, the team of staff lead by the manager is really second to none. I thank you all.

My father has now been a resident at Glangarnant for nearly 3 years. He was very unwell on his arrival, however within months his condition drastically improved - he gained weight, looked healthier and was in good spirit despite suffering from dementia. The staff always treat the residents with dignity
and respect and are extremely diligent - as a family we are kept updated of my father's health and well-being and if there are any issues, they are always dealt with efficiently.

There is a homely atmosphere and the residents enjoy a lounge area where they can listen to music, watch tv and play games; once a week they have a singer in the larger lounge. However, I would suggest that in future they try to improve the condition of the external patio area as it would be nice to sit outside during the summer months when visiting. The place could do with a little modernisation/new furniture, but that's a minor point given the excellent care they provide.

Well done Glangarnant!

The care home's sheets are very poor quality. The beds are not changed as often as they should be.
The floor behind the bed is not as clean as it should be either.
The trays are not cleaned off or is this the responsibility of relatives?
The hygiene is not up to scratch.
Reply from Wilson Ncheke, Manager at Glangarnant Care Home

At Glarnagarnant we pride ourselves in providing the best care possible, I am extremely disappointed that there was one room which did not meet the standard of our home. The home has taken this seriously even though it has never been highlighted to us. At this stage, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to you and thank you for highlighting this issue to us. I can assure that we will act upon it immediately.

My 96-year-old mother entered this care home having been suddenly widowed. My father had been her carer since her stroke eight years before. She was made so welcome. I couldn't believe how easily she settled down amongst her new found friends.
The care has been brilliant, She is kept well, clean and
healthy.
The family are always made aware of any problems, healthcare issues etc and a year on I am more than happy that we found Glangarnant care home for her.

Mum has been a resident at the home for over 4 years now and seems happy every time I visit her.
The carers are very friendly to the residents and visitors.
The manager if ever I have had a problem or other, has always sorted the situation.
All in all, I can fully recommend the care home for future
residents.
