I wouldn't want my Mother to be anywhere else, the care they give to residents is excellent. There is always something going on to keep the residents stimulated, bingo, concerts, coffee mornings and family are always made to feel welcome. I have recommended the care home to others and if I had to go
in one this would be the one for me. Staff are always on hand and will go out of their way to make sure needs are met.

My dad only recently moved into Leadon Court. He has been made so welcome, and me also. Every time I visit him, all the staff are happy and smiling and nothing is too much trouble. Leadon Court is a very homely environment and my dad is very happy there.

Had a wonderful day today on Mum's 91st birthday. We were made so welcome and we all enjoyed the lovely tea. The attention to detail made it a very special occasion. The care our mother receives is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. We would like to thank all the staff for all their efforts

My mum's been here 3 months now and I've got to say the staff are outstanding! Absolutely amazing, caring home and I feel that Mum is very well looked after. They constantly stay in touch with me regarding anything to do with my mum, I'm happy knowing she is very safe, well looked after and very comfortable,

All the staff at this centre truly care for the residents! My nan is so happy there and the carers can't do enough! The entertainment they provide is varied and gets everyone involved! I can't believe my nan held a snake! Considering my nan never wanted to be in a home this has been the best thing to
have happened to her and she is living her best life at Leadon Court! There's no other place I'd want her to be! She is safe, warm and most of all happy and its all thanks to the staff at Leadon Court! You all rock! They make a fuss of my nan and when we visit with my little boy everyone makes a fuss of him! Thank you for taking care of my nanna.

Such a lovely care home with the most wonderful, kind and caring staff. We came to see our nan for afternoon tea for Christmas and nothing was too much trouble. They put on a lovely lot of sandwiches, cakes and other desserts, along with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. They had decorated everywhere to
make it homely and Christmassy, the staff were joining in the festivities with the residents - it was lovely to see. Every time we visit everyone is friendly and you can see they truly love the residents they look after. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely wonderful, you couldn't ask for a better care home! They really, really looked after my nan until she passed and treated her like the queen she was. She loved it here, we love it, we love the staff everyone is absolutely wonderful, caring and so kind! They are like our second family. I have
disabilities and they went out of their way to understand me as well, if we had any problems everyone is always approachable to speak to. They have so many activities all the time for the residents, entertainment etc. The dogs loved going to see everyone as well, (even though the cats wasn't sure on that one?) We were always informed of everything that was going on with my nan.
They were understanding and went out of their way to be accommodating, letting us stay longer at visits and things through the lockdown. In her last days, everyone was absolutely amazing, with dignity and respect all the way through they went above and beyond. Thanks so much to her main carer as she was mostly in for nans last days.

My mum went into Leadon Court in April 2019. Mum had the best care I could have wished for her as she was one very special lady. I never saw one member of staff without a smile on their face. I was made to feel so welcome from the day that I first viewed the home. Leadon Court is spotless. The manager
and other staff also listened to what I wanted for Mum as well which meant a lot. Mum had her second stroke in October and for her last 2 weeks, myself and my brother were able to be with Mum which we will always be grateful for. Keep up the good work Leadon Court and thank you.

The manager and staff looked after our mum for a few years, their care and dedication know no bounds. When mum was ill and eventually passed they not only took great care of mum but took great care if my sister and me at what was a distressing time. We will never forget them or be able to thank them
enough for what they did.

My sister and I used to visit my mum at Leadon Court and I cannot praise the staff enough. We always had a very good welcome and mum was looked after fantastically.
The staff were always friendly and smiling. The food was second to none and they were always bringing something out for the residents
to eat.
At the end of mum's life, they even allowed us to stay and let us use the kitchen to make tea and coffee.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Leadon Court for mum's care. You often hear about the bad things in a care home but you never hear of the good. You all deserve medals. So it’s a big thumbs up for us.

My two cousins and I visited our Aunt on many occasions at Leaden Court. We could come at any time and received a lovely welcome from all the staff. Our Aunt settled in very quickly there and took part in most of the activities and special events laid on. Towards the end of her stay, she became very
difficult and rather aggressive at times so it was a very difficult decision for all involved to move her to her new home. We cannot thank the staff enough for her care and highly recommend it to anyone who considers Leaden Court as a home for a relative.

Caroline Leighton

Job Title: Registered Home Manager

I qualified as a General Nurse in 1992 and initially worked in Kent.


I moved to Wales in 2015 and initially worked in Cardiff within the same group as Leadon Court, initially working as a nurse on the floor, moving on to Clinical Lead supporting the whole home, and then as Clinical Compliance Lead ensuring governance and compliance needs were met through robust auditing and providing training. I then gradually made the move to support Leadon Court in the middle of last year. I took over as Registered Home Manager in April 2025.


I work on transparency and honesty, ensuring I offer support not only to residents and their families but also to staff.


I love a challenge and I love improvement, and I aim to strive for the best for myself and in others.
