My mother has been at Leadon Court Care Home for one year and has received the best care our family could ask for.
Nothing is too much trouble and nurses and care staff always give the very best welcome and the standard of care is to the letter, and always work to the best ability. Nothing is too much trouble, if l need to ask any questions to the nurses about my mother's health they are always ready to give me an update. And always react if she is unwell and contact me to tell me if there any concerns.
Cleaning staff keep rooms and the home excellent. Plus laundry ladies also do an excellent job too.
Kitchen staff always go the extra mile to give residents what they enjoy eating.
And choices which is important, so my mum feels as if she is in her own home. Entertainment staff keep all the residents all involved and plenty going on, to suit all of the residents.

It is a pleasure to come to the home and see my mum smile, and being involved every step of the way of this journey.

My brother has been in the care home for almost a year and the care he has received has been outstanding. The staff at Leadon Court know all of the residents well and always know where my brother is and how he is feeling on a given day. We visit regularly and the home is always very clean and fresh. All of the staff are friendly, positive and professional at all times. My brother always smiles when the staff speak to him and he clearly enjoys the attention that they give him. The activities, shows and special events that Leadon Court provides are excellent and well-tailored to the residents. The staff and home provide a happy, safe and positive environment and know the residents well and are always happy to talk to us when we visit. Given my brother's health issues, he could not be in a better home. Thank you, Leadon Court!

My husband has been in Leadon Court since January 2022.
I couldn't wish for a better place to look after my husband. The staff are so caring and treat residents as if they are family. They are extremely well trained and so professional.

It is so welcoming to relatives and they go over and above to make every occasion a special one. They organised a party for my husband's birthday and our 50th wedding anniversary. The activities team are wonderful at raising money to use for experiences for the residents. In December, they arranged Christmas afternoon teas for residents and their families with entertainment. This was one of many treats the residents experienced this month.

I wouldn't want my Mother to be anywhere else, the care they give to residents is excellent. There is always something going on to keep the residents stimulated, bingo, concerts, coffee mornings and family are always made to feel welcome. I have recommended the care home to others and if I had to go in one this would be the one for me. Staff are always on hand and will go out of their way to make sure needs are met.

My mum's been here 3 months now and I've got to say the staff are outstanding! Absolutely amazing, caring home and I feel that Mum is very well looked after. They constantly stay in touch with me regarding anything to do with my mum, I'm happy knowing she is very safe, well looked after and very comfortable, their activities are amazing too. I'm so glad I found Mum this care home.

All the staff at this centre truly care for the residents! My nan is so happy there and the carers can't do enough! The entertainment they provide is varied and gets everyone involved! I can't believe my nan held a snake! Considering my nan never wanted to be in a home this has been the best thing to have happened to her and she is living her best life at Leadon Court! There's no other place I'd want her to be! She is safe, warm and most of all happy and its all thanks to the staff at Leadon Court! You all rock! They make a fuss of my nan and when we visit with my little boy everyone makes a fuss of him! Thank you for taking care of my nanna.

Such a lovely care home with the most wonderful, kind and caring staff. We came to see our nan for afternoon tea for Christmas and nothing was too much trouble. They put on a lovely lot of sandwiches, cakes and other desserts, along with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. They had decorated everywhere to make it homely and Christmassy, the staff were joining in the festivities with the residents - it was lovely to see. Every time we visit everyone is friendly and you can see they truly love the residents they look after. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely wonderful, you couldn't ask for a better care home! They really, really looked after my nan until she passed and treated her like the queen she was. She loved it here, we love it, we love the staff everyone is absolutely wonderful, caring and so kind! They are like our second family. I have disabilities and they went out of their way to understand me as well, if we had any problems everyone is always approachable to speak to. They have so many activities all the time for the residents, entertainment etc. The dogs loved going to see everyone as well, (even though the cats wasn't sure on that one?) We were always informed of everything that was going on with my nan.

They were understanding and went out of their way to be accommodating, letting us stay longer at visits and things through the lockdown. In her last days, everyone was absolutely amazing, with dignity and respect all the way through they went above and beyond. Thanks so much to her main carer as she was mostly in for nans last days.

My mum went into Leadon Court in April 2019. Mum had the best care I could have wished for her as she was one very special lady. I never saw one member of staff without a smile on their face. I was made to feel so welcome from the day that I first viewed the home. Leadon Court is spotless. The manager and other staff also listened to what I wanted for Mum as well which meant a lot. Mum had her second stroke in October and for her last 2 weeks, myself and my brother were able to be with Mum which we will always be grateful for. Keep up the good work Leadon Court and thank you.

My sister and I used to visit my mum at Leadon Court and I cannot praise the staff enough. We always had a very good welcome and mum was looked after fantastically.
The staff were always friendly and smiling. The food was second to none and they were always bringing something out for the residents to eat.
At the end of mum's life, they even allowed us to stay and let us use the kitchen to make tea and coffee.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Leadon Court for mum's care. You often hear about the bad things in a care home but you never hear of the good. You all deserve medals. So it’s a big thumbs up for us.

My two cousins and I visited our Aunt on many occasions at Leaden Court. We could come at any time and received a lovely welcome from all the staff. Our Aunt settled in very quickly there and took part in most of the activities and special events laid on. Towards the end of her stay, she became very difficult and rather aggressive at times so it was a very difficult decision for all involved to move her to her new home. We cannot thank the staff enough for her care and highly recommend it to anyone who considers Leaden Court as a home for a relative.

Caroline Leighton
Caroline LeightonJob Title:Registered Home ManagerJoined: 2025

I qualified as a General Nurse in 1992 and initially worked in Kent. I moved to Wales in 2015 and initially worked in Cardiff within the same group as Leadon Court, initially working as a nurse on the floor, moving on to Clinical Lead supporting the whole home, and then as Clinical Compliance Lead ensuring governance and compliance needs were met through robust auditing and providing training. I then gradually made the move to Leadon Court in the middle of 2024, supporting the Management Team. I took over as Registered Home Manager in April 2025.

I have currently been Home Manager at Leadon Court for nearly a year, and the time has flown by. I have put 100% passion into the role, leading an already well-established team to work with integrity and zest for their job.

I work on transparency and honesty, ensuring I offer support not only to residents and their families but also to staff. I work on an open-door policy, meaning that at any point, I like to be available to be approached.

Being a Registered Home Manager has been the biggest challenge of my career to date, but I have enjoyed every moment so far, as no two days are the same. I love a challenge, and I love improvement and change, and I aim to strive for the best for myself and in others.

Ancuta Gidoiu
Ancuta GidoiuJob Title:Registered NurseJoined: 2016

I am a Nurse who has been a part of Leadon Court since 2016, and this has become part of my life. I care deeply about the people I look after, and I always aim to bring kindness, patience and calm.

Over the years, I have gained a lot of hands-on experience in elderly care, from supporting complex needs to offering simple comfort on difficult days. Working at Leadon Court has shaped me as a Nurse and a person, teaching me the value of empathy, teamwork and consistency.

My role is to support the residents with their daily needs, monitor their health and make them feel safe and cared for. I take time to listen and to reassure to build trust. Those moments matter as much as the clinical input.

Leadon Court feels like a second home to me. The residents, family and staff create a warm, supportive atmosphere, and I am glad to be part of it. Making a difference in someone's day, even in a small way, is what keeps me passionate about my job.
