I would not put my dog into this nursing home. The lies made by management is concerning. There is very poor communication within this care home. The staff changes constantly. Their level of care is poor. The management make rules as they go along, there is no consistency. Please read the complaints about this place on the care inspectorate website.

Having had to arrange the transfer of my sister-in-law to the Beechwood a few weeks ago my wife (her sister) and I have been extremely pleased at every aspect of care provided by the management and staff at the Home. Staff in the Ben Cleuch area have excelled in providing a safe and friendly environment for which we are very grateful. Although there are activities on offer we are unable to rate these at this time.

I have been visiting my younger brother who was admitted into Beechwood Park in the Ben Clench Wing and was there until he passed away in February, a total of nine months. The care and love he experienced there was excellent, the kindness of the nursing staff and carers, even down to the cleaners, we could not have asked for better care, even taking time for visiting family. For myself, I will miss the friendship that was created through visiting my brother. Something I did not look forward to!

The staff at Beechwood Park Nursing Home are really great and caring staff. My mum was there around 18 months., she passed away 22 December 2017 and the staff were so kind to all our family and my mum they are top class service who should be paid a good wage by whoever is in charge of the home for the great care they give. I have done caring before I know good and bad staff they also need more people so they are not overworked.

The home is very welcoming and bright and airy - staff are helpful, friendly and attentive. My mother has been a resident for six months. She is very happy, relaxed and is always treated well by all staff. Staff are always visible and happy to assist with questions or care needs. The manager is welcoming and is available and approachable. I would recommend this home highly.

The home always has a nice welcoming atmosphere all the staff are approachable. The manager has an open door policy and is always available to listen to any concerns you may have. Residents seem happy and are well cared for with dignity and respect. Food and drink is of a high standard. Activities are always available and are tailored to the resident's interests and ability. Overall I am satisfied with the care provided and the staff. The homeowners need to ensure the continually upgrade the furnishings and decoration as it is looking dated and tired.

I am happy with the care my partner receives in this care home. He is always clean and is content so I have no worried. His needs are met by the more than competent carers. He seems happy in himself. I would certainly recommend Beechwood to families looking for care for their relatives. The home is nice and clean, especially with the new floor. It is always warm, so the residents can be comfortable. I can honestly say that Beechwood is one of the better care homes.

I am more than pleased with the care my father receives at Beechwood. Each and everyone of the carers are brilliant with him. Although he has dementia, I can see that he's happy, which has a lot to do with the way the carers treat him. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home, to anyone who is looking to place a relative in such care. From the management down to the cleaners, I could not fault them.

My Father recently passed away having been in this home suffering vascular dementia. During his time there the staff were superb and I could not fault their level of care and compassion. Feeding times were always difficult for dad due to a tremor he had but the staff always assisted him with his meals and drinks. On any occasion a doctor had to be called we were kept well informed and given the option to be present if desired. When he became gravely ill we were informed immediately and during his last days we were offered every courtesy including food and drinks for us when we were there with him. The staff were wonderful when he did finally pass away and couldn't have been any more supportive, including attending his funeral. I would have no concerns about highly recommending this home based upon our personal experience.

My mother has been a resident at Beechwood for the past seven years. In that time she has always had excellent care and has been treated with dignity and respect. All staff have had a caring approach. Our family have been happy to know she is safe and her needs have been met. Staff nurses involve us with care plans which are regularly updated as well as informing us of any health concerns. I would highly recommend this nursing home.

My father became a full time resident in the home in May 2015. My dad has vascular dementia and after an extremely distressful period in hospital and also a period of respite we approached Beechwood Park looking for care for dad. I brought my mum to an introductory visit where the nurse involved displayed empathy and understanding, fully explaining the care which could be provided and also the application process. This was an extremely difficult decision for my mum to take but the nurse who assisted manged to alleviate some of her worries. When dad moved in the staff could not have been more helpful or understanding, not just to dad but also to mum. Dad was dealing with a progression in his illness and was obviously uncertain about his new surroundings. The staff made every effort to ensure he was comfortable and reassured as much as possible. Unfortunately dad was re admitted to hospital, due to again, deterioration in his condition. During this hospital stay he experienced a very distressing incident. In my period of dealing with the hospital involved, the staff from Beechwood Park were fully supportive to me and did everything within their remit to have dad returned to Beechwood Park as soon as possible. Dad is now in Wallace suite. He is again very obviously well cared for, something which helps mum. There have been certain individuals who I feel have gone beyond expectations but in all of my visits I have felt reassured in the care displayed. This letter comes from the family to thank all the staff concerned in the care of dad. I hope in some way it may be useful to reassure other families who have to make a difficult decision to care for a family member.

Marek TarnaswkiJob Title:Home Manager

With over 20 years of experience within the care home sector, I remain deeply passionate about improving the experiences of residents, colleagues, and visitors in our care home.

I’m responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and service are delivered in a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment for all residents.

I work hard to foster open communication with residents and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are heard and addressed, and by leading the team with a focus on person-centred care, we’ve created an environment where residents feel respected and valued.

I aim to further develop our ties with the local community, through volunteer programs, partnerships with local organisations, and initiatives that bring residents and the wider community together. Strengthening these connections enhances the residents’ social lives and enriches the culture of the care home.

Ultimately, the joy in this role comes from the opportunity to make a lasting, positive impact on individuals’ lives while continuously learning and growing as a leader.
