Over all time Ivybank House Care Home has 33 reviews.
I have left a review previously and given Ivybank 100% positive 5 stars across the board. The staff are a godsend. Their patience is amazing! Dad is happy and content and enjoys the activities that are provided, he is encouraged to join in and even gets up for a wee dance even although he is almost 93. The staff, weather permitting take the residents along to a local pub for lunch and a wee dram - Dad really enjoys these outings and the girls make it quite special, thank you Ivybank
It's always a pleasure to see my sister happy and well looked after.
As per previous reviews this is an excellent care home. My mother has always had exceptional care from all the staff within the home, including the management team. The home is always kept very clean and the staff cannot do enough for myself and mum. Her room is always very well kept and smelling clean. She has her own nic nacs to help making it more homely. The home is well-maintained and any issues dealt with promptly. Overall highly recommended.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear how well your mum has settled and that she continues to receive the care, comfort and support she deserves. Our team will be truly encouraged by your kind words - especially your comments on the...
My mother has been in Ivybank for nearly 3 years. During that time she has received excellent care. The staff are kind and very considerate to all the residents. The food is very good. They have arranged various outings and entertainment. The management is approachable and seek people's views.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It's wonderful to hear that your mother has received excellent care over the past three years, and we truly appreciate your kind words about our staff, activities and the quality of food. We're also glad you find the management team approachable and committed...
My father is a resident and seems happy to be here. He enjoys joining in the activities. Staff are very good with him including all the staff, cares, cleaners and nurses would like more outdoor activities. Only issue I have is with the laundry.I find most of his clothes go missing 8 other residents clothes in his room and drawers are messy.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your kind words. We're delighted to hear your father is happy at Ivybank, enjoys the activities, and that you've found our whole team, from carers to cleaners and nurses, to be so good with him. We appreciate your feedback regarding your desire for...
My dad was in this home before he passed in November. We checked on the home before Dad went in and got great unannounced audits and great feedback from family who have a member of their family as resident. The staff are brilliant, all of them are so dedicated and hard-working. They made us, as a family, always welcome and when Dad was dying, went the extra mile with me, my mum and my sister to do anything they could when Dad was poorly. They made us sandwiches and tea and coffee They checked on me when I stayed all night. They helped me out with a phone charger and were so loving with Dad. It's made his passing easier to know he was so well looked after by all. We, as a family, will be forever grateful.
We are deeply touched by your heartfelt review and we extend our sincere condolences for the loss of your dad. It means the world to us to hear about your positive experience at Ivybank during such a challenging time. We are incredibly proud of our dedicated and hard-working team. Your kind words...
Excellent care provided to my father over the past three years of being a resident at Ivybank House Care Home. All the staff are professional, caring and friendly and get to know the residents and spend time with them whether it's the care assistants/housekeeping/laundry/catering/handyman/administrator/manager. My father is always made to feel special and included in all the appropriate activities and entertainment that he enjoys. There is a dedicated activities assistant who ensures that there is a varied and enjoyable daily activities programme so that fun and entertainment can be enjoyed by all, all year round. To those who can't always participate in activities, dedicated one-to-one time is spent with them instead, playing games, listening to favourite music or chatting. The daily lunch and dinner food menus are excellent and provide much variety every day. I would strongly recommend Ivybank House Care Home as a safe and enjoyable care home for any elderly person requiring 24/7, 365 care needs.
Thank you for taking the time to share your father's positive experience at Ivybank House Care Home. We are heartened to hear that our comprehensive approach to care, encompassing not just our care assistants but also our housekeeping, laundry, catering, handyman, administrator, and management...
Management and staff are lovely. The welcome my relative has received since moving in makes me realise I made the right choice. It's like a big family and when I am in a few times a week I am treated the same.
Thank you for your kind words about Ivybank! We're thrilled to hear about the warm welcome your relative received and that our team and management have made such a positive impact. It's wonderful to know that you feel like part of our big family too. We truly value your feedback and look forward to continuing to provide a caring and supportive environment for you and your loved one.
I would like to thank all the Staff of Ivybank House Care Home for the care and attention they have given my mother-in-law in the five years she has been in Ivybank right up to the end. It has been a pleasure to watch all these girls work so hard but still have time for the family and the manageress for her kindness towards us, as a family. If I had to recommend any care home it would certainly be Ivybank. Thank you all.
The only concern has been laundry - even when labelled, things seem to go missing.
The staff are always very helpful and willing to help us with any issues or queries we have.
My mother moved into Ivybank House Care Home on 03/03/2023. The transition was taken over by staff with support and consideration for both m mother and ourselves. Her room was freshly painted and we were assisted to put furnishings etc. into her room. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and provided us with a clear explanation of how her care and support would be delivered, the whole experience has given me peace of mind for my mother's care.
Lovel staff, very pleasant and comfortable environment.
Everything has been fine so far, Mum has settled in fine.
The only issue is lack of communication when tests etc. are being actioned, as the outcome is never discussed with the family.
On a lighter note, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and I will always recommend this home to anyone who asks.
I have no concerns about my mother, as Ivybank is very clean, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The food seems to be very good, and Mum has no complaints. Clothes are washed daily, and the beds are very clean. She is well-kept and gets her hair done. Activities are good as she likes making things and music. The staff always have time to speak to me.
Had a few problems when first admitted fir to always being on the move and managing to get out of the main floor. Moved to an upstairs bedroom, which is more secure. The staff are very helpful and deal with any queries and questions asked. Much more settled, and the staff are always pleasant.
Very friendly and caring staff. Always happy to help or if you need a chat regarding my dad. Give reassurance to me.
I am very pleased and satisfied with the care and attention given to my mother. I don't think the level of care could be any higher.
Both residents and visitors are treated with respect. The staff are very helpful.
