Lovely, clean and freshly decorated home with improvements such as new furniture, windows ongoing. Staff very friendly and makes mum feel special. Lots of activities on offer to take part in if you want to. Staff (management, carers nurses, domestic and maintenance) make you feel welcomed, resulting in a nice community spirit.

My gran had the very best of care at kinnaird Manor The atmosphere created by all the staff was very welcoming, warm, understanding and very reassuring at times. The change in management recently have brought better compassion for my grans need and the professionalism they push has brought better standards and a quality of life for her to enjoy. The family feel alot more at ease now knowing my grans getting the best care we all knew she wanted. Keep up good work.

Following the unexpected death of her daughter with whom she lived, my "almost mum" had to be placed into a care home. It's not something she or her daughter wanted so it was a tough situation to accept. Thankfully the team at Kinnaird Manor have shown amazing kindness, patience and provided a high level of professional care. Watching the interactions the whole team (from all departments) know and value each and every resident. They always have time to spend with them whether for a laugh, a chat or to provide comfort. This level of staff engagement can only come from having a strong multi-disciplinary, well trained team who have confidence is strong management ensuring there is a full complement of staff on shift with a good skill mix. Is it a luxury home? No. It is however a safe and welcoming place. I believe it's had past problem but they are that, in the past. This is a good care home making ongoing progress to excellence.

My mum is currently in Kinnaird Manor care home on rest-bite the experience so far has been exceptional from the first minute we arrived the staff were there to welcome her this instantly put my mum and myself at ease and I knew right away this was a lovely caring home. The staff are amazing they all go above and beyond for the residents it's a pleasure to have this experience. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the manager and her team for the amazing work they do and anyone who is looking at care homes for their love ones this one is a hidden gem highly recommended.

Overall Experience
Starting from a low level of satisfaction over the past 3 (almost 4 years) the new management team seem to be making effective changes to the decor / general ambience and, slowly, improving communication with the family. It is pleasing to see much brighter areas as well as tactile objects for residents to experience. In particular, the activity co-ordinator has made a very positive impact on general wellbeing.
Need to ensure personal care given matches the improvements above and look out for the 'small things' that make all the difference to my relative.

Still a way to go but it is heartening to see improvement.

Well done all - keep up the good work.

My dad has recently come home from Kinnaird Manor after spending a number of nights there for respite and the care, support and dignity the staff showed him was excellent. They were very patient, understanding of his needs and on visiting him we found him to be happy and content. This is the 2nd time we have used this facility and we will certainly consider using again.

We went for a walk round Kinnaird Manor as we had the dreaded 3 care homes to visit for a relative who will be needing care very soon, this one was by far the best, from the welcome you received when you first walked in to the atmosphere and the friendliness of all the staff, it was first class. We had a long walk round all the floors, rooms and garden areas and everything was explained in fine detail, we met the activities coordinator and it just seems like everything is spot on in Kinnaird Manor, it was very clean and tidy and some upgrades had taken place with furniture, decor etc and there are more in the pipeline, all in all this place just had a great feeling about it seemed like a home from home, this will definitely be our choice in the very near future.

My mum was admitted to Kinnaird Manor for respite (but is now a permanent resident). From the day she arrived we have been treated with kindness and compassion from every member of staff we have encountered. My mum took a long time to settle but the staff have all been great with her and very patient. I am very pleased my mum has settled and find Kinnaird a great place the staff are all so helpful and friendly.

Our experience of Kinnaird is excellent - the staff are very interested in the residents. The entertainment staff works tirelessly to offer a varied activity program with family inclusive activities. The care staff are always amenable and very respectful with the residents. The admin staff are very approachable, as are the nursing staff. I couldn't recommend the home highly enough - 5 *****

My Mum was in KM, for a number of years. Recently, she was taken very unwell and sadly passed away at KM.
Through her years at KM, we found the staff to be very helpful and caring. We did not always agree, with staff on all aspects of my Mum's care, but there was always time for discussions around the best care option to take and we were always able to come to a mutually agreeable solution.
During Covid, it was very difficult to see our Mum, and although the staff were very restricted at times to setting procedures, as were all care homes, I do not doubt they gave her the best care, under very difficult
circumstances.
All of the staff were very supportive, helpful, and caring when she passed away, making an awful time, a little bit better, and for that, we Thank them very much.
For my Mum KM was a comfortable, caring, and supportive place to stay with good activities and importantly to her, good food.

KM provides a good level of care and I would not hesitate to place my relative there.

Very disappointed in the poor management and lack of stimulation at Kinnaird Manor.
My dad was assessed (by HC-1) and they were given a crystal clear picture of his behaviours.
The manager asked the family, by telephone, to decide which area we would prefer. This should have been a management decision based on needs, not a family decision.
He was admitted to medium dependency and within 2 weeks, we were told of a number of issues and they wanted him moved him to high dependency.
At the routine 6 week assessment (brought forward at their request to week 5) with two members of staff, we were advised that they couldn’t manage him and we would need to look for another care home.

At no point did the care home manager show her face, or introduce herself, even though her decision-making, or lack thereof, had caused this situation. Her poor management had caused my dad to have two unnecessary care home moves, created additional stress and trauma to my dad and my mum.

My mother-in-law was admitted to Kinnaird Manor for emergency respite care as she has dementia and her husband had been taken into hospital, meaning that she could not be left alone. The home made the process really easy, with a comprehensive assessment done at home to establish the care needs prior to admission. Once there, the staff did everything possible to help her settle into an unfamiliar and probably daunting new situation. As a family, we can't thank the staff enough for the care she was given in a difficult time for us all. When looking for longer-term care, we had no hesitation in choosing the sister home at The Village in Cumbernauld as it is the same company and on moving there today, we experienced the same welcoming attitude from the staff. Overall, we would recommend Kinnaird Manor to anyone seeking short-term or longer-term care.
