A positive story here about a nursing home for the care of older people suffering with dementia.
My dad lived and passed away in an amazing caring professional home, Kinnaird in Camelon, Falkirk.
I was a nursing home matron for about 10 years, so I know all there is to know.
I cannot praise this home enough, along with the fantastic group of staff.
They have a Chef's menu, they seem to have cleaning done around the clock.
There are many activities, a gorgeous garden and a bistro. There are social nights.
My dad found some contentment in his final couple of years here.

And I think most of all, the ambience was always calm, peaceful, relaxed, caring and professional, no matter what day or hour we visited.

My thanks to the staff for taking the time to give reassurance and information concerning the medication which the doctor has prescribed for my mother in law.

It was much appreciated.

My mum is now unable to live on her own and has come to stay in Kinnaird Manor Care Home. She seems very settled and does not want to go anywhere else. She loves all the staff and is enjoying the food. She is very well looked after by everyone and goes out with staff on trips which she really enjoys.

I have found in general that Kinnaird Manor is a well-run care home that looks after their residents to the best of their ability.

I have always found the staff to be pleasant on my visits and relate to them quite easily. Their task is not an easy one and I commend them for what they do.
