Review from Belinda H (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 March 2022 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The decision for my mum to go into full-time care was heartbreaking but on entering the care home I knew she would be happy living here. All her personal care needs are carried out with dignity, she is happy and has put on weight. She doesn't like when staff leave but soon calms down when another friendly face appears. She doesn't always like food on the menu but they will always make an alternative. Mum loves the activities but also likes to sit in her room watching TV. Mum's medical needs are met at a high standard and I'm always informed either by phone or email. Overall, we are both very happy.

Louise Brookhouse
Louise BrookhouseJob Title:Service ManagerJoined: 2023

Louise began her care career at Camilla House in 2017, making it both her first role in the sector and the place where she has continued to grow and develop ever since. After progressing to Senior Carer in 2019, Louise became a familiar and trusted presence within the home, regularly supporting the manager and stepping into leadership responsibilities.

In 2023, with her SVQ 3, PDA in Leadership and ILM in Leadership and Management, Louise was the natural choice to take on the role of Service Manager.

She has a strong interest in dementia care, supporting residents to remain as independent as possible, and providing compassionate end-of-life care.

Louise takes great pride in supporting residents and families throughout their journey, ensuring care feels personal, consistent and kind.
