I am not a person of many words but the staff in Canmore Lodge are not 5 stars - they are all 10 stars. I cannot praise them enough for the care they take of my mum. They all deserve a big pay rise.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Thank you also for your positive comments regarding our home and team who work hard to deliver high standards of quality care at all times. I will pass on your feedback to the team.
My parents are both residents at Canmore Lodge. They were welcomed with open arms in March 21. The transition from their home to the care home was seamless. All staff (especially management) went out of their way to make the move stress free. They have enjoyed excellent food, activities (even an outing in the minibus) and have had fantastic professional care every day. The staff at Canmore work together as an excellent team, led by the manager who is outstanding. The staff always update me by phone with any changes in medication or general care requirements and sometimes get involved in FaceTime! In the last few days, my dad has commenced end of life care. The management team and nurses/carers again have gone above and beyond to support us as a family and ensuring dad is comfortable. Can’t thank them all enough. Nothing is too much trouble and I’m comforted to know that they’re both being taken great care of.

The care my father receives is beyond expectations. The staff go above and beyond and nothing I could possibly complain about. The management team is always available which really makes me feel reassured if ever anything was to be wrong. I can recommend the home highly enough.

The care and dedication of all the staff is exceptional and every opportunity is taken to ensure that my wife is comfortable and able to respond, albeit in a restricted way, to all the stimulae provided in the home.
The quality of accommodation, food, entertainment and all round care is excellent and has been maintained through the pandemic, even when an outbreak of Covid occurred.
Communication from Canmore and the gradual easing of visiting restrictions have been handled in the most professional and careful ways and I have nothing but admiration for everyone working there.

My Mum has lived at Canmore for several years. She is happy and thriving! The staff are wonderful. They are so friendly and caring. The addition of the large tablet and the Magic Table 360 are examples of how dedicated Canmore management is in bringing fantastic technology to residents.

My wife is invariably happy and contented and obviously well cared for. She has been well protected during Covid with excellent visiting arrangements.

My mother moved into Canmore over a year ago - since then, I and my family have been deeply impressed by the care, support and dedicated attention my mother has received from the staff at Canmore. It is such an immense relief and comfort to know that Mum is so well cared for, loved and respected. I simply couldn't thank all the staff enough. Their dedication, bravery and compassion during Covid are inspiring!

Canmore Lodge is the friendliest care home I have been in. Staff always go that extra mile to help with anything you need. You can feel the warm atmosphere when you enter the home.

The atmosphere over Christmas and New Year in the home when I visited was amazing. Everybody is so welcoming and friendly. The staff always go the extra mile.

My husband has been in Canmore Lodge for 6 months. I have been extremely impressed by the staff and management - they all work as a team. In December we celebrated 60 years of marriage. Staff in Canmore added even more special touches to our day. Memories to cherish forever. Thanks to all staff in the Canmore team. Also best wishes to Barchester.

Ever since my partner came to the home, staff and management have been excellent.
Excellent staff, friendly and efficient and excellent meals and baking by the chef and kitchen staff.
From the moment you enter you can feel the warm, welcoming vibes.
The layout is such that the residents are able to wander about quite freely, no stairs and plenty of comfy seats. There is always enough staff to ensure everyone feels secure and happy. The staff know all the residents personally and are always willing to assist with any problem that may arise or just to have a laugh and a joke. Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24/7 and are all very professional.
The bedrooms are of a good size and the majority are ensuite.
There are different activities and entertainment every single day and residents are encouraged to join in. The gardens and lounge areas are well used, perfect places to sit and natter with your friends and relatives, whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake!
I would highly recommend Canmore Lodge to anyone in need of extra care.
Best care home in Dunfermline.
Excellent staff. Very friendly, helpful.
Overall care is amazing.
All the staff are fantastic and treat the residents with dignity and respect.
This is one of the best care homes I have been in. The manager is polite and compassionate, staff are great and nothing is an effort. When you ask for assistance, they are there right away. The home is to a very standard of cleanliness, rooms are nice and spacious, residents are treated with care and dignity. I have and would continue to recommend this home, especially with this manager in place.
First impression on the first visit - very warm, welcoming, plenty of staff visible, very friendly. Through frequent visits, it is obvious that the staff, from top to bottom care on an individual basis. The renovations will only add to the quality of the home. Overall very impressed.
My grandmother has been in Canmore Lodge for over 2 years. Before she moved into Canmore, she refused to socialise out with the sheltered housing. Now she interacts with "friends" every day. Without all the team at Canmore, this would not have been possible.
The staff ar Canmore Lodge are a credit to Barchester, recently our mother has had to have assistance with meal times and care is always given to her. They are willing to go out of their way to ensure she enjoys what she is eating. Thank you.
