Canmore Lodge is a purpose-built care home situated in a quiet area on the fringe of Dunfermline. It is a single storey building designed to allow disabled access and is set in pleasant landscaped gardens. It is close to local facilities and has good local transport links.
                                                                                                                                                               
Canmore Lodge offers care and support to frail older people, people with physical disabilities and older people living with dementia, who are supported in a dedicated ‘Memory Lane’ community.
                                                                                                                                                                              
There is an activities organiser who helps staff plan and carry out group and individual activities.
                                                                                                                                 
The home is designed so that each person the team care for feels completely supported in every aspect of their lives. First and foremost, the care and services they provide are delivered by trained professionals who are dedicated to looking after the health of each resident. The activities programme is tailored around particular interests and facilities are designed to enhance the lives of everyone living at the home. There is tasty and nutritious food that is prepared by a skilled team of chefs.

Excellent care. Staff are friendly, helpful and seem to genuinely care for the residents. Food is good in a nice environment. Nice sitting rooms as well as personal rooms.
On the occasions mum has been taken to the hospital, care has been taken and I have been informed.

I have been with Canmore Lodge since 2011 when I joined the team as a Carer. I then went on to join the Admin team in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant before being promoted to Administrator in 2017. I now find myself as the General Manager which has been a great achievement.


I am passionate about the home and the team we have here at Canmore Lodge.

I moved to Strachan House in January 2017 as the Unit Nurse Manager and joined Canmore Lodge in July 2018 as Deputy Manager. My passion is dementia care and the Memory Lane unit within the home is an excellent environment to enhance the quality of care for those we support.
