Forth Bay is a purpose-built nursing home located in a beautiful area close to the River Forth offering a full range of nursing and dementia care support, including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care.

Forth Bay has an excellent local reputation and strives to maintain a friendly, happy atmosphere. The highly-trained care team and dedicated health and wellbeing coordinator work with each resident, along with their loved ones, to create individual care plans with the aim of enabling residents to get the very most from life.

Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms and to really make them their own.

Forth Bay offers staff unique dementia training where they are encouraged to promote the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, as well as addressing clinical aspects of care.

Excellent care. Mum always well cared for. We regularly visit, even impromptu visits, and Mum always tidy, clean, well dressed, hair/nails done. Staff/management keep me informed and are approachable for questions. We have good rapport with staff.

Forth Bay Care Home in Kincardine is so clean, tidy and homely and staff are so caring and helpful. My cousin's room is well looked after and always clean and tidy. My cousin is clean and always in clean clothes and if she dirties them they are changed promptly. My cousin, even though she can't communicate,
I can see she is happy and content.

Before my dad went into your home, I had nightmares about homes and said my parents would never go into one but your home is amazing from your very lovely staff. The way my dad and everyone is treated as an individual and with dignity. Dad is well looked after, well fed, has a bath whenever he likes.
The home is beautiful and great for organising entertainment for their residents. The manager is so approachable and lovely to chat over everything regarding dad.

My mother, who is terminally ill, elected to come to Forth Bay Care Home for her end of life care upon discharge from a hospital.
Since arriving she has received first class care in every aspect of her palliative care from the extremely kind, caring and professional team of nurses and carers here at
Forth Bay.
Her room is bright with nice decoration and is kept spotlessly clean.
The home, in general, has a happy and welcoming atmosphere.
There is nowhere else my family and I would rather have her as we move closer to her end of life.

My terminally ill mother was admitted to Forth Bay Nursing Home in May 2018.
She was immediately made welcome and treated with the utmost respect by all the staff, as were the family.
Her room was large, bright, cheery and spotlessly clean.
The staff were thorough, professional, friendly and helpful.
All
the above culminated in making an extremely difficult, trying time, easier to handle.
My family and I could not fault Forth Bay Nursing Home.

I am very happy with the care my husband receives from all the staff. I feel my husband's care is very 'person-centred' for his needs. I am very grateful for how the staff have treated me. I cannot find any fault in any of my husband's care. I feel the staff have all got to know him very well and
know his sense of humour.

There is no date in particular. Mum moved into Forth Bay in August 2016. Since the day mum walked in she has been happy. The staff are fantastic, the head nurse/sister is 1 in a million. She talks us through everything mum get up to/or has been up to.
My sis and I have also gotten to know residents
and staff and mum gets taken to pubs for a sing-along. She goes out at Xmas for lunches etc. Lots I would recommend Forth Bay to anyone.

My experience here at Forth Bay has been very good, staff are very friendly always giving opportunities for any food I want. Great service, very supportive staff good for chatting to. Being around all these staff members has made me feel a lot more confident about myself, everything is kept nice, my
hair is always done beautiful, everything I need staff are more than welcome to get it or do it for me. I'm made to feel very at home here, very nice environment.

Fiona is our Home Manager at Forth Bay – here’s a glimpse into her role at the home in her own words:


“I joined Forth Bay as a newly qualified Staff Nurse in 2001 and have since taken on a number of senior roles including Charge Nurse and Deputy Manager. It is this in-depth knowledge of the home that has equipped me well as Home Manager.


I strive to give our residents the care and lifestyle they wish to have and endeavour to involve them in every aspect of their care.’


As well as spending time with residents and making sure that they are comfortable, safe and happy, I see it as an important part of my role to act as a mentor to my team. I firmly believe that a happy, fulfilled and motivated team puts us in a better position to consistently deliver a high standard of care.”
