My mum was only in the care home for 2 months after having a stroke. I found the staff really good, they were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They went over and above their line of duty. My brother took a seizure when we were in visiting mum, and they phoned the paramedics and stayed with him until the ambulance arrived.

My mother has been a resident at Forth View Care Home Methil, for over a month. Due to her dementia and extreme anxiety she can sometimes be very difficult. I have found the staff to be extremely kind, patient, tolerant and they treat my mum with dignity, giving her a lot of reassurance.

The staff are very helpful in providing advice and updates on my mum. Staff are always on hand and the home is very clean. Mum seems to enjoy the food and the menus are varied. She participates in activities and enjoys having someone to talk to.

It was a prime location as easy access for all the family plus it was stated smoking allowed with lots of internal/external activities. This depreciated with time due to company take over and on going issues with staff levels. Most of staff are good and attentive but this needs to be on a more regular basis as either never anyone available or too many staff together in one room and all residents in another without any form of stimulus or attention. The rooms are well catered and light/bright with residents household items. External secure gardens need upgrading but it's good to have the access when visiting on brighter days. Main entrance door has lock keyed access with access code available to the public which is a security risk!

My family and I are very glad we chose Forthview. He is happy and contented, the staff are helpful and treat all with dignity. All the staff are caring and fun loving they brighten our day. Mu husband is always clean and well fed. There is always something of interest. The main things are cleanliness, good food, entertainment, there has never been an incident where someone has been left on their own. The staff are dedicated fun loving bunch. I will always be grateful for all their help, and for taking some of the pressure of me. I will always recommend this home and I seen a few.

Care in general is good with good support staff in attendance. Too many staff changes (nursing) in the past twelve months. Food is satisfactory to good but very limited choice in some cases. Communication has improved recently but still room for improvement.

Mum and Dad moved into Forth View together 6 years ago. Dad was ill and sadly only had 3 and half months in the home. He was extremely well cared for and the staff were exemplary in supporting mum when he passed away. Mum is very happy and feel safe and secure, knowing help is always at hand. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. Mum has a lovely room with en-suite facilities which she can return to when she wishes time on her own. I have no qualms in recommending Forth View Care Home.
