The staff here are a real credit to the organisation.

I usually visit my dad every day and was very distressed with the lockdown. However, the staff have been excellent! They have FaceTimed me and sent photos. Also, they take my dad to the window every day so I can wave to him. He had his 90th Birthday, and they made a real fuss over him. The chef made him a birthday cake, and they had a party with banners, balloons and FaceTimed me while they sang Happy Birthday! He was smiling from ear to ear. The carers in there are fantastic as are the housekeeper's, nurses, handy person and all other staff. They have made sure my dad has lots of attention with him not seeing his family. I am so grateful to the staff for looking after my dad the way they are; giving me peace of mind in this very difficult time.

They have all been remarkable during this pandemic, and I feel assured that my auntie is well cared for while we are unable to visit.

My sister and I visited Hamewith in April 2019, neither of us knew what we were looking for other than an environment that mum would be safe and cared for in the same way Dad did at home for Mum. By the time we left after our meeting, we had made the decision that Hamewith was the best place for Mum. She moved in on 10/05/19 and instantly was made to feel welcome as we all were. We have always been reassured by the caring, friendly staff that she was in safe hands and encouraged to ask questions. Dad visits regularly, and the staff are so attentive to his needs as well as Mums and always make him very welcome, which comforts him greatly. He has had meals there with Mum which he has thoroughly enjoyed. Each and every member of the staff be it the manager, nursing, care, domestic are the most sensitive caring people we have met. The staff treat each resident as individuals and with great dignity as if they were part of their own family. We couldn’t ask for anything more for Mum.

My husband took up residence in Hamewith on 27/1/20. We were advised by the hospital that he required care 24/7 and would not be able to return home. He would not eat in hospital, losing over 3 stone in 2 months. He had delirium caused by an infection and was confused and very weak. The care he received at Hamewith was outstanding. They had him eating again and walking within days. After 6 weeks of amazing care he was assessed fit to com home. Can't thank them enough. Outstanding care.

I would just say that we have nothing but positive feelings about Hamewith. My sister is very happy here the staff have a great relationship with her and us, they are friendly and caring. This includes all staff, from the dorm staff to the manager. I come in at random times, and always find my sister safe, clean, the buzzer to hand and happy. The house is always clean but also feels homely. The staff always make time if I have anything to ask, this includes the manager. A great family feeling and the staff go above and beyond to care.

The home smells nice.

A caring and very friendly environment to be in, with staff that are very efficient in their duties and to my son very caring.

I was so lucky to find this care home for my mother. After looking after her at home for seven years it was frightening for us both to move on. Every member of staff here is kind and caring. I know she is in safe hands and can relax knowing she is getting the best possible care. Her room is lovely, as are the communal areas. I really can't recommend the place enough - nothing is too much trouble.

The staff couldn't do enough. Food very good. Very welcoming.

Residents are treated with respect. They aren't forced to do activities they aren't interested in. Meals are good. Good standard of hygiene. Safety always considered.

They attend to you every day. To live here is good.

Staff are really nice. My husband is well looked after.
