My husband took up residence in Hamewith on 27/1/20. We were advised by the hospital that he required care 24/7 and would not be able to return home. He would not eat in hospital, losing over 3 stone in 2 months. He had delirium caused by an infection and was confused and very weak. The care he received
at Hamewith was outstanding. They had him eating again and walking within days. After 6 weeks of amazing care he was assessed fit to com home. Can't thank them enough. Outstanding care.

My aunt has been in Hamewith Lodge Cre Home for a few months now and settled in well.
Very social place with residents encouraged to meet in social areas.
Fantastic events calender, my aunt had a great time over the festive period.

I would just say that we have nothing but positive feelings about Hamewith. My sister is very happy here the staff have a great relationship with her and us, they are friendly and caring. This includes all staff, from the dorm staff to the manager. I come in at random times, and always find my sister
safe, clean, the buzzer to hand and happy. The house is always clean but also feels homely. The staff always make time if I have anything to ask, this includes the manager. A great family feeling and the staff go above and beyond to care.

I was so lucky to find this care home for my mother. After looking after her at home for seven years it was frightening for us both to move on. Every member of staff here is kind and caring. I know she is in safe hands and can relax knowing she is getting the best possible care. Her room is lovely,
as are the communal areas. I really can't recommend the place enough - nothing is too much trouble.

Overall, the staff do a great job. The food is good and my mum is happy. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.


Laundry is a difficult task due to the volume of items needing to be done daily. Sometimes it seems clothes are washed on a hot cycle as jerseys get out of shape easily. This is

a minor thing.


I am seldom in the home during the week due to work so cannot comment on activities for the residents.

I had to go to my care manager and the care commission in order to get my basic care needs met. Due to going through these procedures to get the care I pay for, certain staff nurses seem to see me as a troublemaker they need to sort out. The carers, in contrast, have been lovely - working very hard
with often very low numbers of staff.

My mum came to Hamewith Lodge Care Home only in mid-August 2016. Sadly she passed away on the 17th September 2016 after a long battle with cancer. But I just wanted to say the care my mum received was amazing. I was so scared about her going into a nursing home but the staff were so lovely and friendly.
Had a very relaxed and homely feel and they made my mums last month as comfortable as possible. Want to say a huge thank you to all staff.
