Hamewith Lodge is friendly and caring. The nurses and even the cleaning staff give you a warm welcome. The managerial staff are very down to earth, this makes them easy to talk to. The fact that Hamewith Lodge has outside space was a great bonus for placing my brother there. He hasn't been there long but has settled in well. His room is a good size. He is well cared for. The only negative point - could have more than one shower on his floor.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a carehome.co.uk review. We appreciate your kind feedback which helps us to improve the service and care we offer. Unfortunately we are unable to add an additional shower room on this floor but there is an additional bathroom.

My friend has been resident in the Hamewith Lodge Care Home for almost a year. I have found all the staff to be very friendly, hard-working and very caring towards my friend. I am so pleased that the standard of care is so high. The manager is very approachable and informative. A great care home in my view.

I find the care home very hygienically clean. Staff are very polite and interact with clients, they also care about them. The rooms are kept clean. I gave them 10 out of 10, they keep in touch with the family if there are any issues.

We have nothing but the highest praise for Hamewith for the care of our Mum when she needed it. Everyone working there has been wonderful, professional and caring, and quickly became Mum's Hamewith Family. Thank you, too, for the support given to us during this difficult time, and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic home-from-home, and the levels of care go above and beyond! Thank you all!

The carers are always friendly and helpful. They have kept me up to date with Mum's progress and changing rules regarding visiting etc. Unfortunately, understandably due to Covid, there are not as many activities as we hoped but think this is starting to improve.

My dad has now been in Hamewith since 2015 and initially took a bit of time to settle in but the care from the staff has been excellent and their updates and video calls during the pandemic have helped my dad and myself immensely to keep in touch. They are always willing to adapt dad's care as necessary and I can always talk to someone at the home if there is any problem or if I need a hand with anything concerning my dad.

I am really happy with all the staff at Hamewith Lodge. They are very friendly and always helpful. They have done a brilliant job throughout the year keeping all the residents safe from the virus. It’s been so hard for all the staff to keep the residents cheerful when they haven’t been able to see their families. The care for each resident is second to none even before the pandemic. The communication is brilliant and we are never kept in the dark about anything. My sister is very happy about being there and loves everyone. And that’s what matters.

Quite hard to submit a review due to the lockdown restrictions as haven’t been able to see my grandad as much. Unfortunately, my grandad gets upset with video calls so we don’t receive any of them either and due to this, I haven’t been able to see my grandad for a couple of months. We have never seen his room or inside the care home properly due to COVID so cannot comment on the cleanliness. The staff we have dealt with have been lovely.

Our mum has been in Hamewith Care Home for almost 3 years, the staff, especially during the last year, have kept her safe and also occupied with activities such as bingo, baking and games. We receive regular video calls whilst unable to visit. Thank you to all the staff for their ongoing care which is much appreciated.

My sister has always been happy and well cared for at Hamewith Lodge and that's what matters. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, I do feel they are often understaffed. The staff have done an amazing job of keeping the home virus free. Quite an achievement under current circumstances. Well done to all.

My mother has been here for over a year now and my dad and sister and myself are so glad we chose Hamewith. Nothing is a problem they keep the family informed of any problems and over the last few months with COVID there were no cases which was excellent and we got to have video chats with mum which gave dad peace of mind. Thank you to all the staff.

I highly recommend Hamewith, it has a very good and caring staff, my Dad has settled in nicely, always something to do other than just sit in a room, it has a homely feel, I know that he is being looked after well and especially in this uncertain times due to COVID.
