Overall Experience

My grandmother had been in another residential care home before The Laurels and did not settle well. She is extremely happy and very well settled at The Laurels. The staff are very caring and this shows in their excellent practice. They are always welcoming towards visitors. A wide variety of activities are organised which my grandmother thoroughly enjoys. There is also a fantastic sweet shop, cinema and Ma Broons living room. All in all a fantastic home!

Laurels home is clean, bright and very caring and loving. All carers do what their titles say they care to all residents with patience and laughter. They have lots of activities which keeps the residents occupied and happy. We have been to many of the parties, fund raising events ect and have loads of fun. When we have mums review any concerns we have are dealt with quickly we always receive feedback.

Overall Experience

My experience of Laurels care home is a positive one, my mother was previously in another care home that has now closed, she was very poorly cared for while there. Laurels staff have been attentive, caring, friendly and professional, they give her good personal care but also mental stimulation and sociable experiences. When she had a chest infection their intervention was consistent and determined a return to health I personally didn't feel was possible the difference between now and previously is night and day.

My mother is a resident at Laurels Lodge and receives excellent care. At times when my mother has not been well the staff react quickly in getting assistance from the doctors and they are quick to get in touch with me to inform me of how she is. The manager is very proactive and takes part, along with the PAL co-ordinator and the rest of the staff, when social and fund raising events are taking place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They always ensure my mother is well presented. I highly recommend this care home.
